Born in New Orleans, Louisiana Gambit was born to parents who cared for him, in their own way. They taught him the ways of the world.
Well the seedy parts of the world. You could say that Gambit grew up on the "wrong" side of the tracks.

Gambit learned to fend for himself at a very young age. Most of the time his parents where out looking for a score or looking for a high. His mom tried to get clean. Once. It didn't last to long. His father well he was a sperm donor. Only came around to have sex with his mom or to get high and use Gambit as a personal servant. His father never physical abused him, but he did use him to go find him drugs or to find him a whore or two to satisfy his needs when his mom was too high to do it herself.

At the age of 11 Gambit was picked up by DHS and put into a foster home. From there he learned how to use the system to his benefit. He knew how to act when around the adults and he knew how to be in the shadows to get what he wanted. He never got in trouble, his adults knew when things happened he was the leader they just could never prove it.

When he turned 18 he was tossed out to once again fend for himself. He didn't mind, he knew how things worked.

One day while looking for a place to sleep he was approached by a man for sex. The man told him that he would pay for the room and pay for his services. Quick to answer yes, Gambit followed the man to the hotel.

Gambit loved it. He had a warm place to sleep, sex, food and money. So from that point on he became a high class prostitute. He picked the people he slept with and he made sure they had money. He would sleep with ladies, but he craved men.
