Never did she want to reveal her feeling....
She knew he would always be willing.
But she never could opt for that option,
As it would lead to their friendship-disruption.
He was her best companion,
Who lit up her life like in dark sky Orion.
She never could spoil this by bringing other complication-
So she decided to hide her passion.
She could not destroy the friendly affection.
Cause she did not know what to do with her affliction.
She knew she had only a few months left.
So, her silence was for his best interest
She just wanted him not to be to attached
So, she planned to be gradually detatched......
Starting a new relation would have been worse
Her disease was her life's biggest curse.
Courage was what she lacked to tell him this;
So she won't... As the say "Ignorance is bliss".
Every moment with him she just wanted to grab and store in her heart of hearts.
But she would have to do it... For which her heart would shatter into million parts.

Days passed by like a soothing breeze...
But now they are painful as stinging of bees.
It pricked her everytime to hide her biggest secret -
From that one person who knew her best.
Her love for him was preventing her from telling everything
But it won't be long before he knew in a blink.
But unaware she was of his knowledge
When he had come to know he was in a daze.

He promised himself he would always support her
He saw her attempts to take herself far.
But he never allowed it
How did she think he'll let her get rid!
She was a fool to never realise his love.
Disease, life, death - his love for her was still above.
So, he decided it was time for confrontation.
Making her realise that enjoying her remaining days is important would be his mission.
After many missed calls and as many texts without replies-
He decided to visit her house and demand answer to his whys.
He walked up to her door, flowers in hand;
He waited with bated breath as it would be the moment.
He understood his life has no meaning anymore
When her teary-eyed mom opened the door.

His love's sleeping form, adorned in white, caught his eyes.
He was too late to even bid his goodbyes.
Tears even failed to express his heart's grief.
His mind strongly complained for time spent brief.
The flowers he brought were now upon her grave.
Tears threatened to overflow but he had to be brave.
She would have been so hurt to see him so broke...
So he sat there beside her though it made him choke.
He sat there thinking all happy moments with her.
All he knew was it would always be she - FOREVER.

A/N: I started writing this poem to kill time in a boring class. I and my friend just had this idea of writing one line each and what started as a game turned out to be this.
