Mrinalini put her hand on her son Nitin's shoulder for one last time. Tears rolled down her eyes as she hugged her son for one last time before entering into the cab. As the cab drove away,she sunk into the memories of the past. It all started when Vinayak lost his job two years ago.

2 years ago....

Vinayak entered the house with a grim expression. Ten year old Nitin came running towards his father with his report card. Nitin had come first in his class. But due to the mental turmoil he was fighting in his head, Vinayak got irritated at the sight of his son and shouted "Go into your room Nitin and don't bug me with your stupid tantrums." Nitin was way too shocked. His father never scolded him,not without any reason. He had known his father to be a man of patience. He never lost his cool even when they were in one of the most difficult situations. Nitin ran into his room crying. Hearing the commotion, Mrinalini came out of the kitchen asking, " What's the matter Vinayak ? You came home early today. "On seeing his wife,Vinayak broke down. On this, Mrinalini panicked and went over to him. Vinayak kept his head on her shoulder and in between his sobs said,"I have lost my job Minu. I have lost my job." Saying that Mrinalini was shocked would be an understatement. But for the sake of her husband,she kept an even face. "Don't worry. We will sort this out together. Come, let's have dinner first." she said.
"How can you be so calm even after hearing this ?" said Vinayak, completely flabbergasted. Mrinalini smiled and said," Because I have complete faith on my husband. That's all." "You know what ? I love you." said Vinayak as a lone tear escaped his eye." I love you too." said Mrinalini wiping his tear. "Okay now come. Stop being a crybaby. I am hungry." saying this Mrinalini went back to the kitchen.

Next morning....

Vinayak was sitting on the sofa,drinking his morning tea,when Mrinalini came in the room saying,"Vinayak, I had a conversation with my friend, Priya regarding your problem. She is the founder of SENSES,the biggest fashion designing company of the country. I told her about your qualifications, and she is ready to give you a job as the Assistant Design Head of the North Zone if you do well in your interview. You have your interview tomorrow at 10 am sharp in the morning. "
"That's fantastic Minu. I just hope that I perform well tomorrow and get the job." said Vinayak. "Of course,you will. Have faith on yourself." said Mrinalini.

After 1 year....

One year had passed after Vinayak got the job as the Assistant Design Head in SENSES and was doing well in his professional life. But their happiness was short-lived. Vinayak made some friends who were into gambling. Not only that, they were drug addicts as well. Naturally, Vinayak came under their bad influence and started gambling. He lost all his money and turned into a drunkard. He was no more the person,whom his family loved. He was no more the person,who used to give his best to keep his family happy. He was no more the person who worked diligently. He didn't use to complete his targets he was given in the company and for him,the company went through huge losses. Naturally, he lost his job at the SENSES. But nothing kept him away from gambling and drinking. He even started to force his wife to give her savings to him so that he could use the money for gambling. On refusing to give him the savings,Vinayak beated Mrinalini black and blue. This was too much for her. Unable to bear the physical and mental torture,Mrinalini went back to her parents' house. She filed a divorce case and appealed for the custody of their son. But due to the lack of evidences,Vinayak got Nitin's custody.

Present day....

The cab came to a halt breaking Mrinalini's reverie. She got out of the cab,and after paying the driver,went to her own flat, which her parents had bought for her. She started working for a law firm and soon became one of the most renowned lawyers of the country. Meanwhile, Vinayak understood his mistakes and mended his ways. After a few failed attempts, he succeeded in convincing Mrinalini's parents to give him another chance to prove that he had changed. Vinayak proved himself to Mrinalini that he had changed and succeeded to win her back. They got remarried and lived happily ever after.
