Ross' POV

"Fuck!" I curse as I storm into my room and slam the door behind me.

I'm stupid for even liking her.

"Whoah what's going on here?" Riker walked in with a confused expression. Isn't he supposed to be sleeping right now?

I pop down on my bed with my back. My muscles are tensed and ears are steaming. I need to punch something.

"Fuck off Riker" I scowl at him. "I'm not in a mood"

"Chill bro" his nervous face makes me angrier. Chill? How can I chill when the girl I uses to like was going to kiss another guy!!!

"Get out Riker!" I shout as I bury my face in the pillow. All I want right now is being alone.

"Ross," his voice softens "what happened? Does it have something to do with Ani?"

My eyebrows furrow in confusion. How did he find that out?

"No" I cut him shortly. He raises his eyebrows showing that he doesn't believe me. Well at least if I tell him now he will leave me alone.

"I know something happened between you two so spit it out" he takes a seat on the chair next to my bed, ready to listen.

"I saw how Ani almost kissed Blake" I blurt out and regret it as I see the corners of his lips tuck into an amused smirk.

"So what? She's free now. She has all right in kissing whoever she wants."

Gee thanks bro.

"Anyways, why does it bother you so much?"

"It doesn't" I mumble.

"Come on Ross. Everyone knows that you still like her"

"I don't. And besides I have a girlfriend remember?" I say while staring at the white ceiling. I've seen that people always do that in the movies when they're in depression, but let me tell you something, it doesn't help.

"Of course I remember." He rolls his eyes as I mention Jessica. "Anyway where is she?" He changes the subject which I'm thankful for. I don't want to talk about how I have a thing for Ani and shit like that.

"In her room, duh." Where else is she supposed to be? It's midnight for god's sake.

"No, Ross. She's not" Riker says and I feel a bit of nervousness in my throat.

I quickly dial Jessica's number and after a few seconds of waiting she answers me.

"Hello?"

"Hi Jess." I sigh in relief.

"Er..hi Ross"

"Where are you?" I say quickly.

"I'm in the mall." Typical her.

"At night?"

"Err y-yeah. I decided to go for a walk."

"Okay" I smile "Come back safe" I say and hang up the phone.

I'm glad that she's okay but still something in my heart is bothering, it's like my in er voice is telling me that she's lying to me.
