Chapter One

Walking down a quiet street, James Leisander was traveling home after a quick trip to the store. Living only a couple blocks from the store he left the car at home to save gas. He was a tall, average man with blonde hair and green eyes. James was a steady business man, bringing in a moderately average pay check while Marie was a wanna be stay at home mom and writer. As James walked, he eyes couldn't help but see a black...spot move secretly along the walls of the buildings before tucking into the ally way. Now most would get away from that area as fast as possible, however James noticed the form was hunched over looking hurt.

Frowning gently he moved over to the ally way quietly, peeking inside calmly. "Hello?" He said gently beginning into the slightly darkened ally. "I'm not here to cause trouble...just wanted to see if your alright" he said gently, lifting his hands softly to show he was no harm. As he moved in, it began to seem like he saw something....maybe even a cat. Sighing James scanned around before turning to leave. That was when the cloths caught his eyes. Newer cloths, almost a year old at most. Clean compared to the common hobo or homeless person staying around the area. This was what he saw. Going slowly towards the cloths he scanned over them carefully. 'Its a boy...' He thought, and it was. A Boy around the age of 17, messy black hair on his head and his cloths were a bit more baggy then he needed clearly by how they hung off his shoulders. "Hey...you alright?" James asked softly moving down to a knee about a foot from the the curled up boy. The huddle tightened, the body inside the cloths obviously trembling. "Hey...." James softly said as she reached a hand out to touch the boy. As he got just close enough, he moved. Flinching away the boy lifted his head to stare at James "Dont Touch Me!" He snapped harshly before wincing hunching again. James noticed the black eye, bloody lip, and all over bruises from his exposed face and neck. "Please...your hurt. Let me help" James said softly moving a bit closer.

Flinching away as best he could, getting stopped by a dumpster. James kept moving closer, until the boy lifted his head again to glare at James "Just leave me alone!" He almost spat getting up quickly. Taking a few big steps the boy however didn't make it far before falling down to his knee, clenching his mid-section. James jumped up as he rushed to the boys side. "Stay still..." James said softly, looking at the boys face before glancing down. With a soft gasp James's eyes widened, looking at the boys hand clenching a very round, rather large stomach. "Your pregnant?" James questioned shocked, making the boy give a soft groan holding the belly tighter. "Hang on...I'll call for help" he said swiftly taking out his phone.

Back at home, Marie was typing away on her computer glancing carefully to the time below. Sighing softly she closed her eyes to rub them, "James should have been back a bit ago...wonder what's taking him" she groaned out softly. Looking to her cell phone she thought about calling him but pushed it away and continued typing. Marie was a beautiful women with brunette hair, normally tied back in a bun and bangs across her forehead. Her eyes matched her hair, Brown. Being a writer she was home a lot, but her husband never interfered with her writing. Groaning Marie looked at her phone before starting to reach for it. "I have to call...make sure he's fine." She said softly. As she was about to grab the phone, it went off displaying his name. Gasping she picked up the phone swiftly, "What's wrong?" She asked hurriedly. "Marie, don't panic but I need you to hurry to the ally just half a block down the road between the store and our home." James said softly. "Whats happened?" Marie asked very worried. "Just hurry" he said. Marie was wide eyes and jaw dropped for a moment before jumping up and running to the car. Though worried she drove safety.
