"1 of 3...Dont screw up." 

Denis's POV

"Order up!" I yell out taping the bell. A waiter soon comes and takes the tray of food. I feel a tap on my shoulder, "Denis, We're going to need you in the back." My boss says. "Im sorta working right now Sub." I say. "Doesnt matter, you can get right back to it once Im done." He starts to quickly walk to his office. "But-" I start to say, but he ignores me continuing to walk. I sigh, then start to go after him. "What do you need?" I ask. Sub sits down in his seat, "We have someone new coming to work at the restaurant, and I want you to show them the ropes" Sub says. "But, Im the most busy! I dont have time for these games." I say. "I know you take your job seriously, but just this once. I think you'll like him" Sub smiles. "Fine, when is he coming? I have work to do." I cross my arms. I hear a knock at the door, "That should be him" Sub gets up and opens the door. The short male with blue eyes walks in with their head quite low, "This is Braden, Braden meet Denis, our head chef" Sub smiles. Braden looks at me for a second, "Have I seen you before?" I ask. "...Im not sure." He says. "You two have met before?" Sub asks. Braden looks me dead in the eyes, I do the same. Braden's eyes start to sparkle, it flicks a switch in me. "Yes." We say in unison. "You do?" Sub stands there confused. We still stare at each other not knowing what to do. I slowly inch closer to him, He does the same. I open my arms slowly, trying to think if hugging a stranger was the right thing to do, but I couldnt control it. Braden instantly ran into my arms, and began to hug me, in that instant everything came flooding back. "Braden.." I say. "Yea...I just introduced you two." Sub says clearly annoyed. "Your back!" I hug him tighter. "We're not dead!" He says happily. "Ok, this has been going on for too long. You two still have work to do. Denis you know what to do" Sub pushes us outside his office. "But-!" He shuts the door close before I can say anything. "....If we're in this world now, How are we dying? It'll be better to expect it so we can watch out" Braden says. "Well there are tons of knives..." I say. "We'll be careful around those then..." He says.

 "Denis! New Kid! Its happy hour and we need help!"
