The Truth

Y/nkit's P.O.V

I sighed and flicked the dirty moss and bracken out of my fur, fluffing up my pelt to try to flick things off. (Btw if anyone wanted to know what my character looked like and my characters new name. My characters new name is Moonkit and she looks like this.)

I hissed at I stepped on a thorn. I sat down and rooted through my pad until I felt it and gently pulled it out, careful not to bite myself by accident. Featherwhisker padded over with a wad of moss in his jaws and curled beneath his chin. "Thanks Featherwhisker, you're a lifesaver." I purred and lightly flicked his flank with my tail before bundling the moss up and padding inside the nursery, putting in the fresh moss that Featherwhisker brought me. Whitestorm squeezed in and helped me, purring quietly. "Y/nkit. You're going to be a fierce and respected warrior one day." He meowed after finishing the nests. "I'm still only four moons old, Whitestorm. I'm not even an apprentice yet." I bundled the pile up and took it over to the dirtplace, dropping it and grunting. "Maybe. But you'll still make a fine warrior when Riverheart's done with you. Her mentor, (F/W/N= Former warrior name) F/W/N, was brave and strong. She was beautiful, her eyes sparkled when she was happy and darkened when she was thinking or concentrating." He talked about his former love with interest and wistfulness. "Where's she buried?" I mewed. "By Sunningrocks." He dipped his head and hurried off to the warriors' den, the night growing cold and unwelcoming. I slipped quietly into the apprentices den and curled in my nest. I'll have to ground the den before it's my permanent home. I thought, shifting a little.

I woke up, stars in my fur and paws. "Moonflower?! Moonflower where'd you go?!" I yowled, frightened. My fur bristled until I spotted the familiar pelt weaving through the trees towards me. "Little one you should not be here!" She hissed, her eyes wide with fright. "But Moonflower I-." I started to say. "Y/nstorm hush!" She hissed and I woke up with a jolt. I paced around the den. She said I was F/W/N, but I can't be. I'm Y/nkit! I paced around and around until sunrise, I shuffled into the clearing and silently slipped through the dirtplace tunnel, padding into the ravine and leaping up the rocks, my paws suddenly remembering the path and led me to the training hollow. The sandy clearing was wide and spacious. I choked back a cry of horror as I saw a brown striped tabby laying on the ground, her eyes dull and blank, fur matted with blood. Don't be afraid little one. It is only who you once were and how you died. Moonflower's voice echoed in my ears and I nodded, gulping and running back to camp.
