"Ash! Its me, Serena! Open the door!"

I just sat there. looking at the door with a blank stare. I wanted to be alone but Serena was my friend. So, I opened the door. "Ash, Why are you not at the party?" She asked. I could tell she was bit mad at me. "I want to be alone." I mumbled. "Why?! I wanna have fun with you!" She was getting mad just by the tone of her voice. "Please leave me." I mumbled again. "Ash this is not like you.." She had a sad tone in her voice.

"JUST LEAVE ME ALONE OKAY?!" 

I screamed at her. I let out my rage on my best friend. 

"Ash whats wrong?! I'll help you with any problem you have!!"

"I WANT TO BE ALONE!!" 

I screamed again. 

"Fine!! I'll leave you alone then!" 

She started running out.

'Stupid Ash!' I say to myself.

SERENAS P.O.V

I cant belive Ash screamed at me like that. I thought he was my friend. I ran back to the party and told Dawn and May what happend. "What!? Ash is never like that!" They said. We started talking more and more about what got into Ash. Why was he so mad? And why was his mom gone?

"Ok Serena, Take a deep breath and relax. Maybe you shoul leave Ash alone for a bit. Like an hour? Then, check on him again. If hes still mad then let it take time ok?" Dawn was right. I checked the time. 10:00. 2 hours till New Years. I was hungry so we decided to eat something. "Im still wondering why Ash wants to be alone." I mumbled. We finish our food and I take a look at the time. 10:51. "Hey guys, Im going back to Ash. Wish me luck."

I go to his home. I take a deep breath, and knock on the door. "Come in." I hear a voice say. It was Ash. "Hey A-" Ash cut me off. "Look Serena, Im sorry of what happend. Ill tell you what happend." I sit down next to him. He starts talking.

"Look, the reason I left the party is.. well... my mother commiteted suicide. I wanted to be alone, I knew you came to help me but.. I just dont know what got into me.. Im sorry, Serena."

"What about your dad?" I asked.

"I dont know where he is. Travling the world I guess."

"Ash, I feel so sorry for you...."

"Its ok. Ive gotten over it."

I look at the clock. 11:58. "Its almost 2017! Lets go back!" I say. "No.. Please stay here with me." Ash asks. "O-Okay.." I sit down. "Serena, please sit still." 

"Wh-

I feel something on my lips. Ash was.. KISSING ME!!??

"Happy New Year, My Girlfriend."
