Trent Andrews sighed as he slumped down next to Gwen on the couch in the student lounge. She was working away at some sort of English paper, her black painted nails shined in the light of the screen of her computer. She had her short black hair pinned back by an expensive looking set of silver clips.

Trent watched as the girl typed harshly on the computer, her face scrunched up. She was clearly pissed off.

"Woah, what'd that computer ever do to you?" Trent teased, Gwen looked up with a shy smile and gently closed her laptop

"She took my best friend out for a pedicure. Probably going to sacrifice her to Satan after too!" Gwen said, shaking her head. Trent stared at her

"Um, Gwen.. Computers don't have legs, I'm pretty sure that's not possible,"

"Ugh not the computer, Heather!" Gwen snapped. Crossing her arms over her chest with a growl "The witch thinks she can waltz right over and steal Courtney out from under me like that. Just when we were trying to patch things up. Ugh!"

"Woah, the ice queen has spoken," Geoff Mantle smirked as he walked into the lounge with the rest of his football buddies. Trent tried not to roll his eyes

"Oh, hey Andrews. Didn't expect you to be here. I thought you'd be at the nurse patching up those wounds by now," Geoff said, earning a few chuckles from his buddies.

"Ugh, don't you ever stop talking?" Gwen mumbled, leaning against the couch. Geoff glared at her

"Oh, and I have a few more questions!" he went on. Just as Cody and Duncan walked into the room. "Hey, Keller. I heard you and my buddy Noah were spotted eating at Pop's last night. All alone. Care to explain?"

"Geoff is just being an asshole. You don't have to listen to that," Courtney whispered to Cody. She had walked in behind them.

"I don't care what he says," Cody mumbled.

"I'm just curious. Your dad came by my house to question me about Jason's murder last night. You wouldn't have any idea why, would you?" Geoff growled at Cody. Who stiffened a little, Courtney gently grabbed his arm for support

"Geoff, shut up!" Courtney snapped. Trent looked over and slowly stood up, eyeing the situation very closely.

"Shut it, Crazy Cooper, no one cares about what you have to say. Don't you have a paper to write or something?" Geoff snapped. Duncan narrowed his eyes at him, and took a step forward

"Lets face it!" Geoff said, turning to speak to all the students who had gathered in the lounge to see what the commotion was about. "If a kid at Riverdale was responsible for Jason's murder, it wouldn't be a jock. No. It would just be some lonely, dark, spooky teen who spends all his free time writing these stupid stories instead of getting laid," Geoff slowly walked towards Duncan.

"Some smug, moody, freak. Like Duncan!" Geoff said. Duncan glared at him, his arms crossed over his chest.

"What was it like, Suicide Squad? When you shot Jason. You didn't.. Do stuff to the body, did you? Like, after?" Geoff smirked. Duncan shook his head

"It's called necrophilia, Geoff. Can you even spell it?" Duncan snapped.

Geoff growled and launched himself at Duncan, but Trent moved quickly. Shoving Geoff back roughly

"Shut the hell up, Geoff!" Trent snapped

"Boys.." Gwen said, slowly standing up.

"What do you care, Andrews?" Geoff snapped.

"Just leave him alone." Trent snapped. Geoff looked back at Duncan, who was now leaning against the wall. A smug smirk on his face.

Geoff growled and walked out of the lounge, his friends followed him.

"You good?" Trent asked, looking at Duncan. Who shrugged

"Duncan," Courtney said, pushing Trent aside and walking over to him. Trent watched them, confused.

"Thanks.." Courtney mumbled, looking back at Trent. But the light wasn't in her eyes anymore

"Court.." he mumbled

"Come on, lets go," Courtney mumbled, walking out of the lounge with Cody and Duncan.

"And there she goes." Gwen sighed throwing her hands down at her sides.
