(y/n) POV

"The wheels on the bus go round and round." one of the caretakers sang while her partner drove, "HOLY SHIT WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!" the driver shouted as we hit something, "Oh my God! I think we hit a furry!" the woman said as she and the driver got out and went to investigate, "HOLY FUCK!" the woman screamed before sprinting back to the car and slammed the door shut before slamming down on the gas, I heard something hit the roof, "M-Miss." I said nervously, "SHUT THE FUCK UP! FUCK FUCK FUCK! THAT THING RIPPED DANIEL TO SHREDS! HE HAD A WIFE AND THREE KIDS! AND I WAS GONNA FUCK HIM SO GOD DAMN HARD!" she cried, suddenly one of the tires popped and we lost control. The car rolled off the road and I got knocked out for a bit, I woke up just in time to watch the caretaker get ripped from the car. I faded in and out of consciousness as the other kids in the car were torn from the vehicle one by one. I was the last one and finally, it was my turn, I looked up at the creature leering in at me, "Wait aren't you..." the monster began to say before his head exploded, "WELL I'LL BE DAMNED! I DONE GON KILLED THAT THERE WOLF MAN!" a man shouted happily as I passed out.

When I woke up I was in a hospital bed, "Good you're awake." a woman said as she walked into the room.

"Who are you?" I asked, "Hi I'm Doctor Amanda Hoyte, sorry about the hair, some kid stuck one of my tools in my hair and got it stuck. But I needed a haircut anyway so might as well cut it myself and get it fixed, right?" she said as she cut her hair with some nearby scissors, took off her mask, and sat next to me holding my hand, "Now what I'm about to tell you is going to hear. Just know that you have a fantastic support group here and I'll be here for you day and night." She said, "You're scaring me." I said nervously, "I'm so sorry sweetie, I didn't mean to sound so ominous. You've been in a coma for a little over six months now. Thankfully you didn't suffer any traumatic injuries aside from a small concussion. Your recovery is going phenomenally and you'll be able to leave in about two weeks. Until then you're under my care just like you have been these past few months." She said, "I've gotten pretty attached to you kiddo. I'll be so sad when you leave, but at the same time I'll be happy to know that you're healthy." She said. "Now for the uncomfortable part. Can you tell me what you remember from the accident dear?" She asked, "We were going to Washington, my next foster family was supposed to meet us there. Then we hit something and...a monster killed them all." I said as I began to tear up, "Thank you, dear. The brain is a powerful thing. It can help us cope with trauma by creating an explanation for things we can't explain. So when you say you saw a monster it was probably something like a wolf or some other wild animal. All that matters is you're safe. If you'd like I can have a psychologist come and see you and help you work through this." She said, "What's going to happen to me when I leave here?" I asked, "We'll burn that bridge when the time comes." She said sweetly.

After two weeks of physical therapy, I was strong enough to move around on my own. I'm being discharged tomorrow afternoon so Miss Amanda took me out for dinner to celebrate. "Now (y/n) I know you've been stressed about where you're going to be living. So I'm so happy to tell you that you'll be living with me." she said making me smile widely I couldn't help but jump up and hug her, "Thank you." I said happily, "Well the news doesn't end there. Cause you're not allowed to call me Amanda anymore." she said confusing me, "Why not? What am I supposed to call you?" I asked, "Well you can try out calling me Mom." she said confusing me more, "I adopted you silly! I'm your mother now!" she said as she tickled me, I laughed but then I started to cry, "I know it's a lot, but I'm here for you, I'll always be here for you sweetheart." she said as she kissed my cheek.

"Sleep well honey, sorry I couldn't take you home tonight, but I'm going to stay here and be the first thing you see when you wake up tomorrow." Amanda said, "No, you should go home. I'll see you all day tomorrow, besides if you don't show up, I know where you work and I'll just wait there." I said as she tucked me in and laughed a bit, "Alright you win, mommy's been up for twenty-two hours and sleeping sounds amazing. I'll be back here at eleven tomorrow. Get some rest." she said as he kissed my cheek, "Night honey." she said as she shut off the light and left. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

I heard a lot of loud screaming. I woke up and found myself on the street, I saw a massive pentagram in the sky and monsters roaming the street. "Where the heck am I?" I said in fear as I backed up into someone, "Hey are you alright kid? Do you need help?" A girl asked as I slowly looked up at her.
