Ch.21 Sick Joke
Malach explained what the golden dust was and threw a pit of it into the air. At first all anyone could see was just a dust of golden cloud, but when Malach snapped his finger the particles twisted and combined to form a portal.
Ciel stared with his wide eye, disbelief and hope swirling inside his prideful soul. "This is a portal?"
"Yes," Malach said while focusing on the portal itself. "If I lose control then you'll be trapped between two dimensions. It's wise if you both leap in before I close the portal."
Sebastian carried Ciel in as (y/n) came second. Malach came last and shut the portal behind himself. It was a barren landscape filled with cattle everywhere. Not A single soul could be spot in sight.
"Are you sure Lizzy is here?" Ciel questioned with tension tightening his voice.
"I'm positive."
Green light formed in his hands as he focused it all into a single ball. It felt warm, even comforting to near the evening sun. Malach threw the ball into the air as it explodes into pieces and bits. Everyone stared as the pieces flew down onto the ground, spreading around the grass and pointing west.
"There," Malach pointed with his index finger. "If we head down west we should stop near by a cottage."
Before anyone could move, Ciel removed his eyepatch with such violence. "Sebastian, I order you to take back Elizabeth at any cost!"
Sebastian, the ever so loyal butler, knelt in front of his master. "Yes, my Lord."
"Wait," Malach butted in. "I was going to infiltrate the place and rescue Elizabeth. I'm a royal and have a chance against the Golden Cup of Heaven's power."
"I don't care if you have the power." Ciel snapped at him. "I ordered Sebastian to take back Lizzy because I know he'll do as I command. I order (y/n) to come alongside him."
"But master," it was (y/n)'s turn to but in. "What about you?"
"Malach will stay back and watch me." Ciel commanded. "Do I make myself clear?"
(y/n) couldn't quite make out the emotions raging inside Malach, but through his Emerald eyes, rage turn and tossed ferociously.
Despite this, he bowed towards Ciel, "As you wish."
Ciel smile mockingly cruel as he stood beside Malach. Sebastian held out a hand for (y/n) as she took it, letting her help him onto his back and take off at high speeds.
The winds roared inside her ears the faster she went. From miles on, grass could only be seen until a small figure arose from the distance. It was a cottage, even smoke was coming from the chimney.
Sebastian stopped so suddenly (y/n) screamed and almost fell off. He caught her in time and let her down, slowly this time.
"Terribly sorry about that." Sebastian teased gently. "Should have warned you first."
As much as (y/n) was shocked at Sebastian teasing her, Elizabeth's life was on the line right now. Nothing mattered the most right now but Elizabeth. (y/n) jumped off of Sebastian's back and rolled up her skirts to her thighs where she took out a dagger. "Just infiltrate the bloody house already."
"Yes, shall we?"
Sebastian carefully chose his row of throwing knives and bashed the door down. They entered inside as it was smaller on the inside than they thought. Elizabeth was tied down to a bed at the corner of the room, unconscious and freezing due to her cheeks a silver rose.
(y/n) took a step forward, but Sebastian held her back. "Don't be fooled. Nobody is ever this eager to let their hostage lose."
"How right you are!"
In a swift of an eye, Sebastian had (y/n) duck down before Ariel could slice her neck from behind. Knives and sword clashed together as the sparks grew intense.
Sebastian kicked him outside as rain began to pour down. Seriously, anywhere you were in England it would rain. But regardless of what would fall from the heavens, Sebastian wouldn't give up his duty.
(y/n) tucked her knives away and shook her hand out. Magic was the only way she would help in this battle.
Sebastian's P.O.V
Sebastian always hated the rain in England. Every bad memory starts with the dastardly rain and how it's mist can clear your mind away, but the scar of that memory was always clear.
Ariel's laughter broke from his thoughts as he clashed and slashed with him. "Who knew a demon could fight so well! I believed your kind only teared each other apart to come towards the top!"
"I'm most civilized than most demons." Sebastian replied calmly.
"Liar," Ariel snarled and nicked his Adam's apple. "Every demon I've caught has either lust for something so great their minds are teared apart by greed, or the only thing they know is blood."
Sebastian retaliated by back handing him, even slicing his cheek where blood drew rich and heavy. "You angels can be said for the other side of the coin. Pride built up to greater things, but if anything, or anyone gets in your way you crave to change all of it."
Ariel grinned the nasties of grins. Coiled up perfectly to mask the evil inside his soul. "But I'm not going to be an angle anymore. I will become a god!"
At the mention of the word, one of (y/n)'s throwing knives cut into his leg. Ariel cursed under his breath but didn't retract the knife from his leg.
"Dastardly swine!" Ariel cried out suddenly, the air and rain becoming more dangerous by the second. "When I become your god, I will kill you mercilessly. That pride of being the best knight in Heave never got you anywhere."
An energy blast exploded from inside Ariel as it both threw (y/n) and Sebastian backwards. Ariel was becoming stronger, but everything has its own weakness.
(y/n) called upon the winds with the little magic she knew. Wasn't the best at it, but that didn't matter in a situation like this right now.
Ariel crashed into Sebastian from the wind and struggled to get out from his strength. Sebastian was sweating furiously, but he couldn't let up. Suddenly, Ariel started headbutting harshly against Sebastian. At this point the rain and wind wasn't the easiest combination to fight against.
From the corner of his eye he saw (y/n) take out a throwing knife and threw it straight into Ariel's oblique's. He cried out and squirmed in pain, even thrashing dangerous on the ground.
He had only one option and would slice his throat one arm. It was a risk, but if he missed it would cost him. Instead before he could do anything, Ariel reached up with his hand and tugged at Sebastian's midnight locks.
Sebastian bared his teeth at the pain as he managed to slice across his cheek down to his neck. Ariel let go and shoved Sebastian off him. Sebastian snarled, his eye a deadly ruby, aimed for his throat. Ariel used the last bit of his magic and escaped.
(y/n) stopped using the wind and rain towards Sebastian. "Are you alright?"
Sebastian ignored the throbbing pain around his scalp and looked up towards her. "I'm alright. I think I gave a wound that will scar over time."
(y/n) helped Sebastian up and smiled. "Before anything else, let's get Elizabeth."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Lizzy!" Ciel cried out and took Elizabeth out of Sebastian's arms. A tear streamed down his face slightly as he hugged her tightly to his chest. "I'm never letting you out of my sight."
Malach smiled towards the two, soaking wet heroes. "I guess you two got caught in the storm."
"Yes," (y/n) sighed and twisted her hair to dry out the water. "Quite the storm I must say."
"(y/n)," Sebastian spoke without looking towards her. "Can we speak alone once we're at the manor?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sebastian was kind enough to let (y/n) wash up and freshen up before speaking. Just as promised, Sebastian was outside her door.
"What is the matter you want to speak about?" (y/n) asks.
Sebastian leaned on his foot, unlike a butler to do and stared into her eyes. "Do not be around me until I say we can together again."
Something felt like breaking inside his chest saying this, seeing the deep just and sorrow inside her (e/c) eyes. "What do you mean? Is this some cruel joke you're playing on me, Sebastian Michaelis?!"
Sebastian smiled weakly in the light for her. "I am sorry. Please forgive me until then."
"No!" Her voice rose painfully on the verge of lashing out at him, but she wouldn't let herself hurt the man who has saved her life. "I won't forgive you! Not until you tell me the reason for abandoning me! I-Is there something wrong with me...?"
He turned on his high heels and left the hallway. Never in his life would anything like this would painfully hurt, but it was for her safety as well. He heard the bedroom door slam shut, even the wooden door creaking from old age.
"Sleep well, angel." Sebastian whispered under his breath, walking towards the master bedroom.
