First Impressions
'A demon, huh? I mean there's always a possibility that I'm being paranoid.' I thought as I stared at the jet-black butler at the Earl's side. I soon turned my attention to the Earl himself.'The Earl Phantomhive, huh? I didn't expect the Queen's guard dog to be so young, he doesn't look any older than me.'
"Elizabeth, who is this girl, and why is she staring at me like she's plotting my murder?" The Earl soon spoke up, clearly uncomfortable.
"Oh!" Lizzie spoke up, grabbing my hand and dragging me to her husband-to-be, "This is (Y/N), she's my personal bodyguard, and miraculous at setting up parties, so I figured she could help out Sebastian a little with her skills! I mean, you should see her working, she has incredible speed and super reflexes, and she knows how to cook, too! She will be helpful just you see,"
Lizzie's words touched my heart and made me smile wider than I thought possible, but her words just made Sebastian and the Earl stare at me for an unsettling amount of time.
Soon the silence became too much to bear, to the point where Lizzie pushed me forward to introduce myself. I extended my hand to the boy, his blue eye just now starting to capture my attention, as I was focusing on his eyepatch before. It's so clear, like a blue crystal.
Beautiful.
The young Earl took my hand in his, my thumb brushing over the blue diamond ring on his thumb. I stared at it for awhile, before clearing my throat and introducing myself.
"Hello, Earl of Phantomhive, it truly is amazing to meet you, though, if I may be so bold, I didn't expect you to be a young as me and the Lady Elizabeth."
Phantomhive, quickly retracted his hand after my comment, "People often underestimate me because of my age, and that is truly disappointing, though, I think you will quickly learn that my age does not define me. So don't 'be bold' around me again,"
This rude motherfucker....
"My deepest apologies, Lord Phantomhive, for I am still learning how to act around nobles," I say as I bow.
"That's quite enough," the Earl spoke, "Elizabeth and I will discuss the party in the garden, Sebastian!"
"Yes, my lord?" the butler spoke, this was the first time I heard his voice, and it was just as deep and charming as you'd expect it to be.
"Take this girl to the kitchen with you and prepare me and Elizabeth some tea, teach her how to use the kitchen, and make sure she doesn't blow anything up. After that, take her on a tour. If she's going to help you, she might as well become acquainted with the manor." The boy's voice dripping with annoyance and venom.
"Yes my lord, earl grey, I presume?"
"Yes, yes, whatever."
....
"You don't need to carry your sword with you," Sebastian commented, "You have nothing to fight."
"That's disappointing," I sigh, "I thought I would have to fight more people trying to attack Lizzie, not that I want people to hurt her, it's just I need to fight something, or I get ancy."
"Odd, when was that last time you fought something?" Sebastian questions.
"About two weeks ago, about fifteen people tried to break into the manor late at night, so I had to dispose of them."
"You took on fifteen grown men by yourself?" Sebastian looked shocked for a second, but soon regained his composure, "Well, how about you fight the Young Master? He could use a lesson in sword technique. "
"WHAT?" I almost dropped the tray I was carrying holding the tea, but I caught it in time.
"Impressive reflexes, the Lady Elizabeth wasn't lying," Sebastian awed, "So, will you fight him?"
I thought for a moment, "Sure, if he'll allow me,"
