Jay left with an angry look in his eyes ready to deal with Theo, and I hope that this time. He's actually dealt with... it pains me seeing Jay leave after the safety of his hugs, his lips. But I need to be alone, I think anyway. I'm not sure what I really need.

Self discharging is almost a relief, I can't stand hospitals they remind me all too much of my father, or Theo. I can't stand it a second longer than necessary. Walking out of the room and into the waiting room I see them. My heart pounds as my old family stands upon seeing me.

"Damn, you one crazy ass white girl." Rome, stands jumping to his feet. He almost instantly gives me a hug, my muscles tense for a moment, hesitating before I relax slightly.

"We're glad you're okay." Dom says as I break the hug with Rome, I nod, thanking him. Tej moves to hug me, and I accept. Eyes landing on Letty. My heart almost feels heavy, she was one of my best friends and I can tell she's pissed beyond repair. Sighing, i break the hug with Tej.

"How are you feeling? Really?" Brian's voice echoes through me, making my heart skip a beat. Looking him over, I can see the concern in his eyes. Oh, his eyes. I can feel the pain all over again, the pain that made me leave.

"I'm good, cracked ribs and a concussion. Nothing to worry about." I nod looking in Brian's eyes and for a second, it's almost as if we're the only two people in the room.

"Thank you all, for, well you know." A part of me feels awkward, more than I should. I never really expected to see them again, especially not like this.

"It's all good." Tej smiles before my attention is back on Brian.

"You heading home?" He asks, my heart jumps. We still haven't had the conversation. The one I've been dreading for years. And I'm starting to think there's never a good time to tell him. And he deserves to know, especially after saving my ass.

"Nah, I'm going to stay at Kelly's... my apartments still. I'm about to call him to pick me up." I shrug about to reach into my back pocket for my phone.

"I'll take you. Come on."

A/N - hey guys! I hope you're enjoying this. I know these chapters are considerably shorter than the original but that's only because I'm trying to split up POVS from the original. Also just a little rant from autocorrect... WHY. It hates the names Brian and Dom, EVERYTIME. It tries to auto correct Dom to Don and Brian to Brown. Don't ask me why, but if you see that, that is why.
