Liam Payne and Sophia Smith had one daughter. Carla Anne Payne. She didn't have many friends even though her dad was not in One Direction anymore but they still bugged her about meeting him with their parents.

They moved out to a farm in Northern Texas where Liam taught her to ride horses. She was nine years old and he gave her a pony for her birthday.

The first time, he picked her up and sat her in the saddle and then helped her ride through going through what she would do when she would do competitions. She fell a lot so many times, both of them had lost count.

When she got done with her competitions and she would lose, she'd come home crying. She'd put her horse away and then go into the house crying.

Her parents would hold her and tell her that she was ok and that she would do better next time.

She believed them but didn't believe them if you know what I mean.

She believed them that she would do better but she always doubted later if she would actually do better.

18 years later, she went off and got married.

She wanted a house, a home and babies. She would be waiting up to at least 11:00 each night. She never let see that he was breaking her heart or that she got tired of waiting up till late at night.

They had only one child and when they could they would go out to see her parents and then go and see his parents. Both sets of parents would spoil their only granddaughter and they would make sure that she knew she couldn't always get whatever she wanted. She would always nod and then go and play with whatever she had gotten.

The phone rang early one morning.  She had answered the phone while her daughter was setting the table for breakfast. Her daughter, Maryanne knew that something was wrong because usually when someone called her mother, her mother would always leave the room and be gone for 30 minutes.

This time however, her mother stayed right where she was.

When her mother had finished talking, she was sniffling and telling Maryanne to get her coat and shoes on because they needed to go see grandpa before he died.

They made the nine hour trek to her families ranch. Every once in awhile, she would look over and see that Maryanne was sleeping.

When they finally got there, they both got out and walked up to the house where family members met them and hugged them.

After saying bye to her daddy, she took her daughter out to the barn to get a horse and then after saddling it up, she told her daughter to come and get on the horse. Her daughter looked at her like she was crazy and shook her head no.

She said yes and then her daughter came to her and then she taught her daughter how to ride just like her daddy had done with her.
