~Flashback to 2010~
Narrator's POV
You're 16. You're in a super successful girl group called Spectrum with your best friends. Your signed to Syco records along with your boyfriend,James, and his band Big Time Rush. You're in Hawaii preparing for an award show that night. Big Time Rush is flying out to Hawaii for the award show and you have to pick them up. Simon assigned some boy band to come with them. You're kinda a shy bird, but being the nice person you are you agreed to pick them up too.
~Your POV~
"I've been waiting for almost 3 hours waiting for this plane! It shouldn't take this long!" I thought to myself. "(Y/N) stop being so impatient. James & the boys will be here before you know it. I might as well find a way to pass the time." I thought. So I pulled out my phone and started playing Angry Birds. Just as I were about to win the level I was stuck on a hand got in my way and I lost! "Dude! What the-" I cut myself off when I looked up and realized it was James!
"James!" I almost screamed. "I'm guessing if I had been someone else I would've gotten cussed out?" James questioned. "Maybe. Maybe not" I said. A curly haired brunette coughed at James. "Oh yea. (Y/N) this is One Direction. One Direction this is my super talented girlfriend and Spectrum member (Y/N)!" James said. I smiled shyly. The curly brunette glided closer to me and took my hand. "The name's Styles. Harry Styles. AKA the man of your dreams." He kissed my hand and I blushed a little.
Next came another brunette and he said his name was Louis. Then another named Liam. Then a mysterious one named Zayn. There was one more boy. He seemed just as shy as I was. He had blonde hair, but I could tell he wasn't a natural blonde. I thought to myself, "He's kinda cute. (Y/N) stop it! Talk to him! Wait no have a boyfriend. But just have a friendly conversation."
~Niall's POV~
"Wow she's even more gorgeous in person. I wonder if she'll actually talk to me. She didn't seem that interested in talking to the other lads. Even Harry! All females love Harry! She DEFINITELY won't give me the time of day! Niall stop doubting yourself," I thought. Forget I'm gonna talk to her. I make my way towards her. Once I made my way over to her I managed to say,"H-Hi my n-name is Niall. Niall Horan!" "Hi. I'm (Y/N)," she said shyly.
Before I could say anything else to her James basically hurried us out of the the airport and to the car.
~After the car rides. At the award show practice~
~Niall's POV~
That was the most awkward car ride of my life. Besides the radio, everyone was silent. James & the rest BTR stared at their phones the entire time. The only time (Y/N) talked was when she told us where we were going. None of the lads talked. Louis didn't talk and he's ALWAYS talking!
Once we got in this arena we met the other members of Spectrum. We met Allison, Brave, and I always forget the last girl's name. Christina! That's her name! Anyway after we met all the girls I decided to take a walk around the arena. I mean I've got nothing else to do. I was walking down the hallway and all of a sudden I hear someone crying.
It sounds like a female crying. I, being the nosy person I am, decided to peak through the door where I heard the crying. I looked in and saw (Y/N) crying. "Are you okay?" I asked. She kept crying not even bothering to look at me. I went over to her and sat beside her. I hugged her off of my basic instinct. "You can tell me what's wrong. I won't tell," I told her. "J-James. H-h-he cheated on me! Right in front of my dressing room! With some stick figure bottle blonde," she managed to get out between sobs.
~No one's POV~
You were heart broken. You loved James. You THOUGHT he loved you. When Niall came in it's almost like his hug healed you instantly. After you & Niall had a chat, you pulled yourself together and went back out there and broke up with James. From that day forward you & Niall have been each other's best friend. Neither of you knowing that you both had a crush on each other.
