Your End

You and Liam had been together for four years and it couldn't be any better. You've had your ups and downs due to hectic schedules, unneeded attention and wild rumors but nothing got in the way of the love you both shared for each other.

“I'm really sorry Kelly. You now that I want to be there” he sighed through the phone. “I know Li. It's fine, really. You have no control over your job. I get it” you frowned, really disappointed at the situation. It was Christmas time and you were more than looking forward to spending the holidays with family and friends, including Liam. Last year, you had spent the holidays with his family in his hometown of Wolverhampton so this year was extra special since you were spending it with yours. Not that last year wasn't amazing, his family was absolutely perfect and made you feel more than welcome but you hadn't seen your family in so long, you were beyond excited.

“No, it's not fine. I now you're disappointed but please understand were I'm coming from. The boys all wanted to go home for the holidays, especially me. I know how much this Christmas means to you, but there is nothing I can do about it. God knows I tried” he spoke, sounding on the verge of a meltdown. “It's fine Babe, really. I know you want to be here. Just go rock that show and I'll be waiting for you to get back. I promise!” you smiled once again, knowing how guilt he gets as you try and reassure him that everything is OK. “Thank you so much. I have to go, the boys are calling me. I love you alright? I'll talk to you later” he says, followed by a sigh of relief. “I love you too. Bye” you reply, hanging up the phone. 'Some things just don't go the way you plan' you assure yourself convincingly.

Liam's End

“I can't do this boys. I have to go home” he sighed, packing up his suitcase. “What do you mean mate?” Louis frowned, looking at him. “I want to propose to Kelly and nothing is going to ruin it. I know how much this Christmas means to here, being with her family and I can't let her down. Not even management can stop me” he shrugged, looking at his best mate. “Li, do you really want to get kicked out of the band for something so stupid?” Harry asked. “Yeah Li, all of us want to be home trust me but we can't do otherwise” Niall explained further. “Watch me” he answered, heading for the door. “You know what he's right. We can't stand for this. We're not some puppets. We don't get any time off so I'm leaving too. They can't kick all of us out of the band if we all leave” Zayn agreed, picking up his suitcase and going after Liam. The other boys shrugged at each other, picking up their suitcases and heading for the airport. “Thanks Boys, It means alot that you stood up for me” Liam smiled, hugging his brothers. “I called Simon. He's mad but agreed to give us some time to be with our families” Niall explained. “Yeah, we told him about the proposal and he wished you the best of luck” Harry countered. The Boys waved good bye to each other at the airport, all going to their respected flights. Liam took his seat, thinking about you and picturing the rest of his life with you. The flight passed by rather quickly as he was already in front of your childhood home, ready to give you the surprise of a life time.

Your End

The doorbell rung as you were all huddled up by the fire, chatting and catching up on lost time. You were having a blast but you still were feeling the emptiness without Liam by your side. The family kept asking 'Where's Liam?' or 'Why isn't Liam here?' and that didn't make the situation any better. “I'll get it” you chirped, getting up from the sofa, setting your mug on the coffee table. You momentarily got a slight nod from everyone, as they were too grossed in their conversation to take any notice. You opened the door, your smile disappearing as your face went pale, frozen in place. You couldn't believe your eyes. “Liam?” you whispered, thinking your just dreaming. “Merry Christmas Babe” he chirped, sending you a heart warming smile. “Oh My God” you smiled just as bright, tackling him in a huge hug, wrapping your legs around his toned stomach. “I can't believe you're here” you mumbled, into his neck. “I couldn't miss Christmas with you” he smiled, delivering a kiss to your lips, making them tingle.

After that shock, you too got inside as your family greeted him one by one. You were talking to your aunts, helping to make tea and coffee for everyone as Liam was talking to your dad and uncles.

Liam's End

“Sir, you mind if I ask you a question?” Liam asked, sipping his tea to warm him up. “How many times do I have to tell you that you can call me Y/D/N Liam” your dad smiled. “Right, Sorry” he mumbled nervously. “Why so nervous? Shoot!” Your Dad triggered. “I love your Daughter alot and I would do anything to make here happy. I wanted to know if I have your permission to ask her hand in marriage?” Liam asked, smiling at your Dad. “Of course Son. Nothing would make me happier than knowing my Daughter is in good hands” Your dad smiles, hugging Liam in approval.

After endless amounts of gifts Liam gave you his present. A little box. You opened it gently, looking at a beautiful ring that mesmerized you. “Li, wh-” you were about to ask as you took sight of Liam down on one knee. “I know, things weren't always the way we planned them to be but nothing makes me happier than seeing that smile of yours. Everyday I wake up just to see your beautiful face and those breathtaking eyes. So Kelly, would you make me the happiest man alive and marrying me?” He asks, as you nod your head graciously, to speechless to utter a word. He slides the ring on your finger, hoping up as you wrap your arms around his neck. “I love you Li” you finally say, looking into his beautiful brown eyes. “I love you too” he laughs, wiping away your happy tears as he kisses you gently, forgetting your cheering family around you.
