Your POV

“Please come. I need all the help I can get Katherine. I really want to make this work” Demi whined to you over the phone. “Fine, I'll come. Only because I love you” you smiled, caving in to your best friend's demand. She had been whining for you to go to an event she was hosting for weeks now and it was for a really good cost. She was having a food eating contest to raise money for people with eating disorders like she once had. It was ironic to have a contest consisting of food as she was really excited for it and you couldn't let her down. “YAY! Thank you so much, it means alot to me. And plus you get to meet Niall” she cooed, over the phone. “He's coming?” you asked maintaining your composure, although you were already freaking out on the inside. “Yep. He's in LA for a little while doing work for his album and we talked for a little while when he was on X-Factor and I was telling him about it and he said he would love to come” she explained and your heart melted at the words. “cool” you mumbled trying to keep your cool, but you couldn't hold back the smile on your face. THE NIALL HORAN IS GOING TO BE AT THE SAME EVENT AS YOU AND YOU WERE BEYOND EXCITED! 

Niall's POV

“So you boys wanna come?” I asked them while getting ready for the Event Demi will be hosting. “Yeah we'll come. It will be fun and you will need the support if you pass out” Louis laughed. “Yeah. God only knows how much food I'll be eating” I confronted, laughing along. “Not only that but I heard Katherine will be there” Harry teased. I froze as the words left his mouth. “You mean my celebrity crush will be there?” I mumbled, as my face turned a furious red shade. “Yep” Liam confirmed. I couldn't help but let a smile creep onto my face and I really wanted to meet her, She's one beautiful girl.

Your POV

You were signing some things for the fans at the event and taking pictures with them and having a blast. Your fans were the best and supported you 100% and you wouldn't trade them for the world. Demi approached you and called your name to get your attention. You looked up at her and smiling, enveloping each other in a hug. “I'm so glad you came” she smiled, kissing your cheek in a best friend kind of way. “Mhm. I'm having an amazing time meeting new people” you smiled, hooking your arms together. “Would you hate me if I sort of, may have put you down for a hot dog eating contest?” she smiled innocently as you stood there with your mouth agape. “DEMI?!?!?! Are you kidding me?!?!?!” you screamed, trying to suppress your laughter. “It's only one contest and... I love you” she shrugged. “You're so dead” you smiled, following with a little laugh, much to your dismay. “So who am I against?” you ask, heading to the table where the hot-dogs were being placed in a tray for the contest. “Niall...” she mumbled, afraid of what you might say. “I hate you so much right now” you gritted, face palming yourself with embarrassment. “It will be fun, he's dying to meet you” she smiled as you took your seat on the chair, waiting for it to be over. “Katherine?” someone asked from behind, as you turn around, finding yourself face the face with the one and only Niall Horan. “Oh Hey Niall” you smiled, getting up to give him a hug, trying to hide your blush covering your cheeks, “It's so nice to finally meet you” you continued.

Niall's POV

Wow! She's even more beautiful in person. “It's nice to meet you too. So hope you know you're going down” I laughed, pointing to the pile of hot-dogs on the table. “Ha, you wish” she scoffed, folding her arms. “Do you now how much I can eat?” I countered back. “No, but you clearly don't know how much I can” she said right back, not thinking twice. “May the best man win” I finalized, shaking her hand as the contest was about to begin. I started to scarf down one hot dog after another as I look towards the beautiful girl in front of me as she was eating furiously, giving me a run for my money. She was so petite and delicate but she could eat like a truck driver. As soon as I was about to grab my fifth one in seven minutes I felt something block my airway. I needed to breathe so badly but I couldn't. A piece of food was blocking my pathway and I couldn't get it out of my system so I stopped looking at her and she immediately sensed something was up as I started to turn purple. She took action, trying to help me out.

Your POV

As soon as I saw Niall stopped eating, I looked up at him and his face looked panicked, scared and colourless. I could immediately tell he was choking so I sprinted off my chair to help him out. The crowd in front of us stopped cheering and looked speechless at that time hoping nothing serious would happen. “Niall. Calm done alright. I'm going to help you get it out but I need you to stay still and don't panic” I whispered as I wrapped my arms around his waist from behind. I made a fist with my hand and put the other one on top of it and placed it at the centre of his chest, punching it and pulling upwards until the food that was stuck was spat out of his body and put Niall in a coughing fit. I handed him so water to cough it down and by then everyone had left the scene to give Niall some space but I stayed with him till the end. His breathing slowly returned to normal and the colour restored back in his face. “How are you feeling?” you asked, still rubbing his back in comfort. “I'm alright thanks to you. You saved my life and I could never repay you for it” he mumbled hoarsely, hugging you gently. “It's no problem. I know you would've done the same if it was me. You can repay by admitting defeat” you laughed. “NO! I want a rematch. We could do it on our first date” he smiled cheekily. “Huh?” you questioned. “On our first date. I've fancied you for quite a while and I wanted to ask you out the minute I saw you. So if you'd have me I'd love to take you out on a date and hopefully not choke again” he smiled shyly. “I'd love to go on a date with you” you smiled, kissing his warm cheek softly.

Yours' and Niall's POV

“And that is how we met” you concluded as you and Niall told the story to you 4 children 20 years later.
