018. Vacation
"Miku, can we stop? My feet are aaaaaching!"
Rin whines, stopping to bend over and breathe with her hands on her knees. Miku looks back at Rin, who was just a few feet behind her, and raises an eyebrow, smiling.
"Rin, we've still got a long way to go. Come on."
"But Miku-"
"I'll hold your hand and drag you the rest of the way there." Unexpectedly, the tealette hastily snatches up her friend's hand and firmly holds it tight within hers. Rin still hasn't fully recovered, but Miku figured taking a break this early would only waste time. "Come on, we need to catch up to Kaito and Len."
She's dragged along the stable walkway that hovers above the busy road of a thousand cars. As Miku's only focus at the moment is to catch up to Kaito and Len, Rin takes the time to admire the scenery from up high and above the roads.
There were many hotels and tall buildings, some even shaped fancy for the heck of it. However, the night prior, she'd looked out their room window and took in the view: beautiful neon lights adorning every building and statue and restaurant. The place was much more prettier at night, Rin would think, and there was no denying it.
The two finally catch up with the boys. Len was taking a picture with his phone of the giant castle-like building while Kaito, on the other hand, was taking pictures of the scenery with his high-tech camera Miku got him for Christmas.
"Hey," Miku greets Len.
He looks over his shoulder, replies back with a "Hey," and puts his phone in his pocket as he turns around to them.
Len looks down at Miku's hand occupied hand. "Why are you holding Rin's hand?"
"Aw, I ship it," Kaito chirps as he comes up behind Len.
Miku laughs. "One day maybe. Just..." Her gaze trails to meet Rin's, who too seems to share the same stance on the situation.
"Not now." Rin nods and so does Miku.
"But yeah, I'm holding her hand because she got tired already five minutes into our walk. So now I gotta drag her around wherever we go."
Kaito sighs and turns around, getting down on one knee. "All right, get on."
"Kaito, are you-" Len starts.
"No, I insist." He pats his knee. "Up."
"Yay!" Rin beams in joy.
She lets go of Miku's hand and cautiously hops onto Kaito's back, wrapping her arms around his neck for safety. He stands up, holding her legs that are on the sides of his torso.
Len and Miku exchange glances and stare at Rin happily smiling on Kaito's back for a piggyback ride.
"All right, let's go," Len laughs.
"You sure you'll hold up, Kaito?" Miku chuckles. "Rin's pretty heavy."
Rin pouts. "Okay, now we're really not getting together until a week after this vacation's over."
"Whatever you say, sweetheart. But, honestly, you good, Kaito?"
"I'm fine. Let's just get a move on."
The three walk down the steps (of course, with the fourth atop another) and proceed with their walk through the crowded sidewalks of Las Vegas.

Side notes: Miku, Rin, Len, and Kaito take a trip to Las Vegas and on their second day there, they decide to take a walk.
A/N: Pretty much inspired from a Las Vegas trip I took these past days. Some unintentional (but hopefully kyoot) MikuRin + KaiRin while we're at it. All this was written in the past hour (and a half-ish) while waiting for a plane.
