"Uhhhhh, yeah, no, not happening."
"But you'll look GREAT!" Velvet said.
"No, I'll look like a cucumber." I tell her. She was holding up a green T-shirt and green pants and she had this exited look on her face.
"Come on Veneer!"
"No."
"Why not?"
"Because. No."
"VENEER!"
"It's not gonna happen Velvet!"
"UGH! Your HOPELESS!" She stormed out of the room.
Now that she was gone, I changed into a yellow T-shirt and jeans. I also grabbed one of my favorite red button up shirts and put it on like a jacket.
"THAT'S what you went with?" Velvet said judgmentaly.
"I don't have to dress up for EVERYTHING." I said.
"Why not?" Velvet asked.
"Because I don't want to. Bye sis!" I call as I head towards the door.
"Bye!" Velvet yelled.
I head towards my car and begin to ease my way down the driveway. I was going to a café down the street. It was the first time hanging out with someone other than Velvet. I was trying to keep myself from getting to excited. I didn't want to embarrass myself.
Ritz and I had planned to meet up at a French café called Le Fromage Café.

Yeah

   I got out of the car, and walked into the café, I saw Ritz was sitting at a table tapping his foot as if he was nervous. Maybe he's just as nervous as I am? I thought.
   I sat down across from him and put my hand up in the air like an idiot and waved at him.
   "Hi." I said. Not knowing what else to do.
   "Uhh, hello." He said slowly.
   What do I say?!
   "Soooooooooooooo," I go.
   "Soooo."
   We sit there for what seems like forever until finally the waitress walks over. Her skin was a lavender purple, and her hair was a darker shade of her skin. And her eyes seemed to be a mix of magenta and purple. Her pin, which was on the right side of her chest, said Orchid.
   "Hello! I'm Orchid, and I'll be your server to- hold on are you Veneer?!" She asked.
    "In the flesh." I say.
   "Oh wow! I'm a big fan of you and your sister! Can I please get a picture?" She asked.
   "Sure!" I tell her.
   She squeals and takes out her phone. After turning it on and clicking the screen a few times, she held it up and I smiled at the camera as she took the photo.
   "Thank you SO MUCH! Gosh Ritz, I knew you interview a lot of celebrities, but, I didn't know that you hang out with them!" She exclaims. "Anyway, how are you?"
   "I'm okay." I say.
   "I'm okay." Ritz says at the same time. We all crack up.
   "Same here! What would you like today?" Orchid asks.
   "I'll take a coffee with two macarons and a croissant." I ordered.
   "Would you like the croissant buttered?" Orchid asked.
   "Of course!" I say cheerfully.
   She turned to Ritz. "And you?"
   "Coffee and croissant please. Buttered." He said.
   "Cool!" She turned around and walked away.
   "Is she your friend?" I asked Ritz.
   "She might as well be, if she's my older sister." He said.
   "You have an older sister?" I asked.
   "Two, actually."
   "Ooh, that's rough." I laughed.
   He shrugged. "You can say that again."
   "Ooh, that's rough." I repeated, and we both laughed.
   Moments later, Orchid came back with our food. "Here you go! Enjoy!" She said before adding, "Bye Baby Brother!"
   "Don't call me that in public! How many times!" Ritz exclaimed.
   I slap my hand over my mouth to cover my grin as I giggled.
   Orchid walked away while Ritz glared at her.
   "Aw, you're cute when you're mad!" I say. I might as well have turned into a tomato.
 

  Shit! What have I done!

Ritz's perspective.

   "I meant that as a joke!" Veneer exclaimed.
   "Uhh, yeah, hehe, I figured." I said nervously.
   We both kinda sat there and stared  at each other for a while before he picked up his croissant and started eating it. I decided to sip on my coffee for a minute before picking up my own croissant and took a bite.

Orchid's perspective.

   I started typing into my phone. I had to tell Lenny what I'd just heard. I still couldn't believe it!

Lenny! Lenny! Sis u there?!!!

Yeah? What is it?

I just met THE Veneer!

I did! He's hanging out with Ritz!

   I quickly sent her the picture. I was so excited.

Holy shit u did meet him!

   I waited about twenty minutes and Lenny came through the café door. The minute she saw Veneer her jaw dropped and she ran over to me with wide eyes.
   "Girl, I hope you plan to introduce me!" She exclaimed.
   "Okay! But be chill. Getting over excited is my thing!" I tell her.
   She followed me over to the table, and that's when I noticed Ritz's face. He had on that look that said: "Don't you dare!"
   Of course, as his sister, I dared.
   "Hey Ritz, Lenny's here." I say. Lenny waved.
   "Of course she is. Veneer, this is Lenny, she's a year older than Orchid, who is a year older than me." He says dryly.
   "Hi, please ignore my baby brother's tone"-Veneer smirked-"I'm Lenny! Could I get a picture?"
   Ritz smacks his hand against his forehead.
   "Sure!" Veneer said.
   They take a quick picture and Lenny did one of her little jumps. "Thanks!"
   "You can go now." Ritz grumbles, arms folded across his chest.
   "Okay! Fine! Party pooper." Lenny said, as we walked away I turned and started walking backwards as I call: "Have fun on your date!" Just to embarrass him. Which it did.
   It was actually hilarious. BOTH of their faces turned cherry red. It was so funny.

Veneer's perspective.

   "Hey, wanna ditch this place?" I ask. We had both finished our food.
   Ritz nodded. "Definitely."
   I walked over to the counter and tapped the bell. Orchid came running.
   "Leaving eh'?" She asked.
   "Yup. How much?"
   "Twenty-five dollars."
   I paid and she waved. "Bye Baby Brother!" She called to Ritz.
   The few people in the café, (three women who looked to be in their thirty's) turned around and laughed when they saw who it was.

   We started walking towards the parking lot. Ritz headed in one direction while I headed towards my car. Ritz pulled up next to my car.
   "So, where are we going?" He called over the engine.
   I shrugged. "I dunno. How bout' my house?" His eyes widened. "What?" I ask.
   "Uhh, your sister?" He said.
   "What? She's not gonna care." I told him.
   "Okay." He said, and we left the parking lot.
