Healed With Happiness
I stretched quietly, I didn't want to stir the other inhabitants of my body, though the effort proved futile when Kuro opened an accusing eye 'Curse you for being a morning person.' she bitterly muttered. I chuckled softly when Lamia giggled in her 'sleep'.
"Good morning to you too." I sung aloud.
Lamia sat up dramatically and stretched with a loud groan, Kuro simply rolled her golden eyes, though her grin betrayed her. I looked at the sun and then let my gaze wander toward the calender 'April' it read. I checked the date and realized it was a Saturday, I nodded in approval.
I thought back two weeks ago to our encounter with the male witch "Wait a second," I muttered in realization "Aren't witches only female?!" I questioned loudly, before realizing I said it out loud and I covered my mouth as if I just announced I planned for world-domination. Kuro looked affronted and Lamia laughed while holding her stomach as if the humour I brought her physically pained her "That's a myth!" she announced in between chortles. Kuro looked off to the side and muttered "Though females are definitely the better witches~"
I gave her a sly look 'Of course!' I cheered. We all shared in the amusement before Kuro put on a show of impersonating her old witch teacher, apparently the man had a long beard and had a thing for pointy hats, Kuro's explanation for that was 'I swear, I showed him a witch movie once and the guy's had a thing for those hats ever since!' to which I got great amusement from.
We all laughed together well into the morning.
"Yuki! Please come down now!" a semi-familiar voice called. I perked up and began walking downstairs when Lamia began freaking out, something about stranger danger and kidnapping. I laughed 'My mother is on a work-related trip right now so my aunt is looking after me...' I trailed off, my voice going uncertain. Kuro looked sceptically at me while Lamia calmed down 'Why the hesitation?' she finally asked.
I looked sheepishly at them 'Well she's a bit...' I didn't get to finish my thought as I saw my aunt poke her head from the kitchen.
She was an overweight woman with dyed reddish hair, she wore two pretty golden earrings and a large maroon shirt coupled with jeans. She also had lots of rings decorating her manicured fingers. The woman made a happy noise and pranced towards me "Hi" I said lamely.
My aunt May hugged me as tightly as she could. Kuro looked angry as she shouted 'Is she trying to hug us or kill us?!' while Lamia cried out 'Yuki, what did you do to this woman?!'
'Nothing!' I managed to choke out.
My aunt let me go and then looked confused "Yuki, honey, why is your face blue?"
I groaned.
