Jacks Explanation: Part 1

Liln was drifting away from his sanity each day. Grabbing his head, he felt like he was in a daze, his eyes widened as if they were going to pop out. He was about ready to lash out at anyone, even an infant. He then smashed the ground below him, glaring at the puddle that was at his feet. He didn't even realize it himself but inside he knew he was seeing the reflection of something he didn't want to be: Corrupted. As he utilized the powers of being one of the fabled Broken, he felt the warnings Jack told him come to fruition about how even the most noble of warriors have a dark side that will soon tear it's way out. As he regained his posture from realizing his own hideous self staring back at him in the rippling water, he started to reminisce that very day, as if it were just mere moments ago...
                 -Six Weeks Earlier-
Jack was practicing grabbing things with his flames, trying not to melt or burn them in the process. To this day, he hasn't succeeded doing this skill, for it was almost impossible to learn for a young Fhenix. He growled and then proceeds to try once more. Just then, Liln creeped in, trying to see what Jack was doing.
"Hey Jack." He said quietly, walking over to him a bit nervously.
Jack glanced at him, growling a bit at another failure to do the near impossible. He turned to look at Liln, trying to calm his expression. "What is it?" He said, not doing a good job of hiding his malice.
Liln flinched a bit, wondering if he had disturbed him. "S-Sorry but I was going to help you on that fire trick."
Jack scoffed. "Don't joke like that. I'm already pissed off about it." He snapped, stretching his arms to try it again.
"Im not joking." Liln said, as his eyes glowed a dark orange and red. He then turned to an object and concentrated.  Soon, a brilliant flame of black and white erupted from his hand as it grabbed the wood then sunk back to place it in his hand. The wood was entirely unscathed.
Jacks eyes widened slightly, as he was surprised by this. "You're Broken..." He said his expression showing a bit of anger.
Liln smirked a bit but then realized what he had called him. "Wait... did you just call me 'Broken'?" He responded, looking slightly confused.
Jack looked up at him, his expression softening ever so slowly. "Of course you don't even know about something that's destroying you as you try to hold it together... Mishima isn't telling you everything like he said he would."
Liln looked slightly confused. "Wait, what do you mean it's destroying me as I try to hold it togeth-" Liln then suddenly felt a strike of pain in his chest. He winced, trying to hide the pain. He had been successful in doing so for the past few weeks, trying to make sure no one worried about him.
Jack sighed, walking over to Liln. "You can't hide it from me Liln. You felt a sudden strike of pain just now didn't you?" He asked him, knowing he was right by the way Liln dodged his gaze.
Liln looked down, trying to think of a way to avoid a discussion.
Jack then smashed his fist into Lilns stomach, making Liln spit up blood slightly. "Stop trying to hide it. You're not getting out of an explanation." He said, kneeling down next to him.
Liln wiped his mouth, growling a bit. Despite being his colleague and also a potential hero...  Liln wanted nothing more but to put a stop to Jacks life at the moment. But then, he regrets that thought even arriving in his mind.
Why did I think that...? I don't want him dead... I... Liln thought to himself, looking up at Jack with a scared expression.
"Jack... explain everything to me..." He breathed.
