Chapter 23

Jemma's Pov:

We pulled up to the Luxor and walked to the check in desk. I grabbed our room keys and headed for the elevator. We dropped our things in our room and went to explore the strip.

It was amazing. So many lights that you couldn't even tell it was night time.

We spent a few hours just walking hand in hand and looking at all the different attractions. Around midnight we made it back to the hotel.

We decided to skip the hotel casino and went to the bar to watch the lounge singer. Michael led me to the dance floor for a slow dance as the lounge singer belted out 'At Last' by Etta James

Around 3 we finally made it to bed. I preordered room service for 10 in the morning.

"You wanna spend the afternoon by the pool?" I asked climbing into bed with Michael.

He wrapped his arms around me and nuzzled my neck. "Whatever you want Love"

We made love and finally fell asleep as the first rays of sun peeked through our balcony windows.

The sound of knocking and Michael groaning woke up. He kissed my shoulder blade.

"I'll get it" He said pulling the blanket up to cover my naked body.

He threw on his pants and opened the door. He directed room service to put it by the balcony.

The door closed and he did a cannon ball onto the bed bouncing me up and making me giggle.

"Morning beautiful." He said crawling up my body and placing little kisses here and there.

I wrapped my arms around his neck "Morning Sex-Nip"

We ate and showered together.

I fell in love with the huge walk in shower. It was fantastic.

We changed into our swim suites and by 2 were lounging by a tropical themed pool.

We took turns reapplying sun screen because the sun was killer here.

After we played around in the water for a while we went to a cabana and had lunch then back to the pool for a few lazy hours of splashing around

We decided to eat dinner in one of the hotel's restaurants before we went to see Cirque De Soleil. The show was amazing. The acrobats were fearless and the rock music had you bobbing your head as you held your breath at the artistically flared stunts.

We walked out talking about how beautiful the show was. I saw a tattoo shop and dragged Michael in.

He raised an eyebrow. "Since when do you want a tattoo?"

I laughed at his skeptical tone. "I don't know I just want to look. Have you ever thought about getting one?"

We looked around and I found one I fell in love with. It was a Celtic love knot shaped into a heart.

"I think I'm gonna get that one."

He widened his eyes. "Um no."

"No?"

"Yeah."

"Yeah what?"

He laughed and shook his head. "You can't get that one."

I put my hands on my hips. "And why the hell not? Are you seriously trying to tell me what to do to my body?"

He sighed "No big mouth I was just trying to tell you that unless you want matching ones you cant get it."

"Ugh I just called dibs on it Mike." I whined.

He laughed. "Yeah but I already gave the guy the money and he's drawing it up right now for me." He stuck his tongue out at me.

"But I really like that one." I whined

"I do too. Hence, me getting it. You could always get it but in a different color, place ,smaller or bigger"

I thought about it. "What color did you get? Where are you putting it?"

"Dark blue and on my upper arm. It's gonna stop at my sleeve so I can still look professional for work."

"Fine I'll get it on my ankle and in purple but have it fade into red." I said picturing the finished affect. Yep it'll look really pretty.

"Nahhh we're getting matching tats! We'll be like twins! Lets go shopping. OMG we should buy matching dresses!" Michael joked in a screechy girlish voice.

I laughed at his dorkiness.

"I hope he messes up or draws in a little penis or something."

He fake cried. "That is the meanest thing you ever said! I don't wanna be your BFF anymore."

I stuck my tongue out and he lightly bit it.

"I love you Sweetheart." He said against my lips. All playfulness gone.

"I love you too Sex-Nip."

3 and a half hours later we were walking out of the tattoo shop.

"I gotta admit, that hurt more than I thought it would." I grumbled looking at the pretty design that was surrounded by red skin.

He laughed and wrapped his arms around my shoulder. "They say the closer to the bone the more painful it is."

I rolled my eyes. "Thanks for mentioning that before hand. I would have put it on the fluffiest part of my body."

He laughed. "That would have been you butt." He said running his hand over my rear end.

He eyed my body. "Or your boobies."

I laughed. "Did you just imply that I have a huge ass and watermelon breasts?" I asked with mock outrage.

He had a mischievous twinkle in his eyes. "No I implied that your ass and breasts are deliciously round and have a tendency to make me want to bury my face in them and-"

I cut him off. "Stop right there horn dog. I want to go to the casino and if you kept that naughty talk up. We'll end up spending the weekend in our room doing the dirty."

He chuckled. "Sounds good to me baby."

I rolled my eyes and pulled him to the slot machines.

"You know my favorite thing about casinos?" I asked as he sat at the machine next to me.

"Hmm the possibility of hitting it big? All the bright lights and pretty colors? Or having me as your sexy arm candy and making every other woman in here jealous of you?" He joked.

"Nope." I said popping the P. "Free drinks."

The waitress came up to us and I ordered a pina colada. Michael waited as she took my ID and checked it out. She turned to him and he ordered a scotch. When she left to fill out orders Michael chuckled and leaned over to kiss me.

"Ya know Love, I think you're a bad influence on my innocent self. First you drag me to the city of sin. Then force me to get a tattoo and now you're forcing me into recklessly gambling and imbibing of the devils brew! Yep you're corrupting my pure soul!" He shook his head in mock regret.

"What can I say? I love tempting helpless men to their doom! Beware good sir. I could secretly be a succubus that will steal your pure soul while you loose yourself in the pleasure only a sex goddess such myself can bring you!"

He chuckled but his eyes darkened. "Anytime baby!"

Two hours later and we were both pleasantly tipsy and currently sitting at the Blackjack table. We hadn't really won or lost anything. We would lose a few hands then win and just about break even. I turned to Michael.

"Marry me?" I said.

The table got quiet and Michael smiled happily. "Sweetheart you're a little late. I already asked you that. Remember we're planning our wedding for the beginning of summer. Damn Love, did you drink more then we realized?"

I giggled at his drunken ramble. "No Sex-Nip, I meant marry me tonight."

His goofy smile dropped for a split second then he broke into a wide grin. He grabbed my hand and yanked me off my stool. The dealer called out that we left our chips.

"Keep 'em! We're getting married!" He yelled.

We rushed through the lobby and my heels made me trip. So Michael picked me up and carried me over his shoulder with his hand on my thighs to keep my dress from flying up.

I could hear people laugh and ask what was going on. Each time Michael would happily cheer. "We're getting married!"

People would laugh and cheer and some wished us good luck. I'd wave at them as we passed and see their smiles or thumbs up.

We walked into a white wedding chapel and Elvis walked up. We ordered the deluxe "Twilight" Wedding. Edward Cullens married us. Bella was my brides maid and Jacob Black was Michael's best man. We said our I do's and slid the white gold wedding bands onto each others fingers. Jasper and Alice threw rice and Esme took the pictures. Carlisle was the limo drive.

The limo pulled up to our hotel and we got out with our bottle of champagne. The sky was already lighting up so we hightailed it inside. We got into the elevator and Michael lifted me up and kissed me for all I was worth.

I wrapped my legs around his waist and the champagne bottle slipped from my hands unnoticed. The elevator dinged for our floor. Michael pulled back out of breath. He picked me up bridal style and carried me down the hall to our room.

We ordered champagne and fruit for breakfast. When it arrived we drank and ate it off each other's body. We made love all morning and fell asleep around 2. Exhausted and thoroughly happy.

I woke up feeling like crap. My stomach was rumbling and I had to run to make it to the toilet. I puked like there was no tomorrow. Michael came and held my hair. I laid my head against the cool porcelain and he grabbed a washcloth and wet it with cool water.

He wiped my face and neck.

I laughed hoarsely. "Happy first day of marriage babe."

He chuckled and picked me up and carried me to the bed.

"Feeling any better wife?" He asked with a huge grin.

I snuggled deeper into the bed and waited for the rolling in my stomach to stop. "You better be smiling at the word wife and not that I just blew chunks."

He handed me a couple asprin and climbed into bed. "I think wife has just become my favorite word in the English language."

I smiled and sat up slowly.

"How's the hang over babe?"

I gingerly shook my head. "I don't think It's a hangover. I just think the mixture of fruit and champagne didn't settle well."

He raised an eyebrow and sat up with me. "Are you sure you're not just a light weight?" He joked. But he had a concerned and semi sad look on his face.

I cocked my head to the side. "Yeah I'm sure I didn't drink enough to have a hangover." I waited but he didn't say anything.

"What's with the look Michael? Do you regret marrying me last night?" I kept my voice steady but I felt like crying.

Why would he regret marrying me? We were gonna do it in a few months anyway. Unless he was having doubts and I just shocked him last night and he got caught up in the moment....

"What? No of course I don't regret it. I was just wondering if maybe you did. Maybe you just wanted to do it in the spur of a drunken moment and now in the hung over light of day you're rethinking it?"

I laughed as I felt the hurt fade away. He wasn't regretting it he was just nervous like I was.

"Nope. No rethinking. Completely happy and I already told you I'm not hung over. Something just didn't agree with my stomach. How bout we take a shower and go get something to eat. I'm starved."

We got out of the shower and threw on our clothes. "What time is it?" I asked looking out the window at the dark sky.

He cheeked his watch. "Almost 10. Damn this town has our sleep schedule even more screwed up then it usually is."

I agreed and followed him down to the lobby.

"How about after we eat we go to the chapel and pick up all our pictures and stuff?"

"Yeah, I still can't believe I let you talk me into having a twilight themed wedding. Skip is never gonna let me live this down." He pulled out my chair for me then sat next to me.

I gasped. "Dude you're mom is gonna kill us!"

He laughed. "Nah, not if we still go a head and have the other wedding. It's great that I can call you my wife now but that wasn't exactly the wedding I had in mind for us."

"You pictured our wedding?"

He shrugged. "Not all of it. Just seeing you walk down the aisle in your white dress and our first dance. Feeding each other the cake and that kind of stuff." He got quiet then bust out laughing.

"What?"

He calmed himself. "I just thought about Tina. If you're worried about my mom you should be scared shitless of Tina!" He started chuckling again as my eyes widened.

"We are so dead!" I whined leaning my head against the back of my chair.

He shook his head. "It'll be fine. After everyone gets over the shock. We'll keep planning the big wedding. That way Tina doesn't blow a gasket that Bella was your maid of honor and Mom doesn't have a melt down that her baby boy got married without her."

We walked into our chapel and Elvis gave us our box of wedding memorabilia. We were going through the caps and mugs that had pictures of us on it when I started to feel light headed. My vision got cloudy around the edges.

"Mike I don't feel so-"

I came to in Michael's arms looking up at a very worried husband. "What happened?"

He rubbed his thumb across my cheekbones. "You fainted. I almost didn't catch you before you hit the ground."

I nodded my head and tried to sit up.

"Stay right there the ambulance is on its way."

"Michael I'm fine, I guess I just over did it last night."

The ambulance arrived and checked my vitals and oxygen levels. The paramedic agreed that it was probably a mixture of little sleep, drinking and the heat and that I just needed to rest and I'd be fine.

"Come on sweetheart you heard the paramedic. You need rest." Michael said tucking me into bed.

I huffed out in annoyance. "I already told you I was fine. This is our last night here. Lets go sight seeing."

Michael shook his head. "We are staying in this room and you are resting. I'm not trying to break my wife of one day."

I giggled. "You really like saying I'm your wife huh."

He laughed. "Only thing better then my fiance is my wife. Now lets order room service and we can watch a movie."

We ate and surprisingly enough I fell asleep halfway through the movie.

Michael kissed me awake. "Time to get up sleepyhead. We have to check out and get to the airport in about an hour."

I looked around and saw that he had packed our bags and tidied up the room. I glanced at the clock and my eyes widened. "I've never slept that long in my life. It's already 3 in the afternoon."

Michael dropped a kiss on my brow. "Which is why I'm going to get us some food while you shower and get ready. I'll see ya in a few minutes wife."

I smiled and leaned up for another kiss. "I'll miss you husband."

His smile got even bigger. "Just found my second favorite word in the English language."

I laughed and got out of bed.

The flight home was uneventful and even though I slept for about 14 hours I snoozed most of the two hour ride away. Michael shook me gently to wake me up and I saw that we had already landed and were in an almost empty plane.

"Come on beautiful lets get you home."
