TW: Blood Drinking, mild smut starting at the middle of the chapter

******

That night, Hongjoong didn't sleep as well as before. His slumber was light, as if he kept bordering on waking. He couldn't tell what troubled him, but since it wasn't a furious crowd with torches breaking down the gate to the tomb, he huddled into his cape and trusted his body to doze off. It continued like that for many hours. Once, he stirred since he heard a grinding noise of stone, but he thought it was part of his addling dreams. Later, the room was too bright for him, so he rolled, only to find himself safely enclosed and settle again. Every time he fell into another fitful slumber, his dreams tricked him into nightmares.

Hongjoong dreamt of a pack of wolves chasing him through the forest. He knew he was safe and sound in his coffin in Seonghwa's tomb, but in his dream, he was thrown back to the cruel reality he lived just a few days ago. His legs were shredded from the bramble as he stumbled and heaved. The sound of paws scraped over the forest flour and he believed to feel their wet pants on the back of his neck. No matter how he ran and sobbed, he couldn't escape. The inevitable happened, and he got tripped up by treacherous roots and crashed into the snow. The wolves were above him within a heartbeat, heavy paws on his chest as a maw full of sharp teeth drooled down on him. Hongjoong snapped awake when the drop of saliva on his cheek felt all too real. He jerked up with the vision of yellow eyes gleaming in the dark fresh on his mind.

Only to find himself trapped not under a wolf, but under Seonghwa.

The scream that had been bubbling in his throat broke free of Hongjoong's mouth. He scrambled backward, but the tall sides of the coffin trapped him and above hovered the vampire that lost all prior charm.

In the green light of the torches, Seonghwa looked consumed by madness. He wasn't perturbed by Hongjoong's cry, staring down at him where he braced on all fours above him. His back was hunched, his face angled to gaze at Hongjoong for Lord knew how long. Frenzy reflected in his glowing eyes and their red was so unnatural, yet precious, like rubies. If there hadn't been a grimace on his face, Hongjoong might have found them beautiful.

Seonghwa's nose scrunched around his snarl that exposed his teeth. They bared at Hongjoong like those of a dog, and his unnaturally long fangs stood out among the rest like daggers. Drool dripped from him to wet Hongjoong's cheek and the vampire's entire body trembled with his effort for restraint.

Hongjoong lay pale as a sheet, not daring to breathe. The vampire's shirt hung from him in disarray, granting the view of a sliver of his slender waist. He hadn't bothered with shoes, legs opened to pin the petrified human in his coffin.

"S-Seonghwa?" Hongjoong squeaked, almost not recognising him. Danger wafted off his new friend and every rational thought in Hongjoong's brain comprehended it was time to run from this creature.

"Go," Seonghwa growled between his teeth, further proving Hongjoong's point. His veins bulged against the skin of his neck as he held back.

As the shock cleared Hongjoong's mind, insight crashed into him.

Seonghwa hadn't eaten yet. Hongjoong came back without a warning and brought his delicious scent inside without checking if Seonghwa was sated. Now his instinct demanded its meal.

Terrified, Hongjoong lay below him. He couldn't move, couldn't even blink as he stared at the beast above. Nothing classy remained on Seonghwa as the horrific truth of his being broke out.

"Go," he barked once more, making Hongjoong flinch. Seonghwa was as if chained in his spot, not trusting a movement before his resolve would crumble. "I don't... I don't want to hurt you."

He sounded so strained, so pained by this fate Hongjoong brought upon him. Shame cowered behind the frenzy of his eyes. This wasn't how he wanted Hongjoong to see him.

Hongjoong stared at him with eyes like saucers. At those fangs, the tremor of his powerful muscles and the caution in his expression, even now.

A hot blush spread across Hongjoong's cheeks. His nightmare and the chill of the scare were forgotten with the breeze as he didn't budge. By the second, the bewilderment on Seonghwa's features swept away his ravenous hunger. How could Hongjoong fault him? If he didn't eat in days, he also couldn't refuse a meal.

"Why aren't you-" Seonghwa began, concerned with Hongjoong's lack of survival instinct when he ran so well prior. He bent to sit back, finding his senses, only to nudge a thigh against Hongjoong's middle on accident. The human sucked in a harsh breath.

Seonghwa froze again. Numb, he glanced down between their bodies; at the dent in Hongjoong's pants that twitched in his direction.

A fresh wave of shame and desire flushed straight down into Hongjoong's stomach, making him strain against his pants even harder. Wincing, he hid behind his hands.

"I- I'm so sorry," he whispered. Heat thrummed through his veins and made his pulse flutter. Seonghwa had yet to stop staring and his nostrils flared when he took in Hongjoong's scent.

"You are... aroused?" The vampire pointed out, voice so flat it sounded dismissive. Hongjoong made a noise and hid his blush on his shoulder. There was nowhere to run for him, just the gorgeous vampire caging him into the coffin.

Hongjoong desperately needed a priest.

"My body just- I-" There was no proper excuse. No sane one, either. Seonghwa appeared over him in the night, snarling at his face, ready to murder Hongjoong in his sleep and the sight had been so arousing that his body acted on its own accord. Hongjoong didn't know whether to be appalled or mortified.

Too surprised to think about eating him, Seonghwa looked back up to study Hongjoong's redness. The human didn't dare meet his eyes, looking at the side of the coffin until the earth would swallow him. There had to be a medical explanation for this. He definitely did not just stiffen from being terrified by Seonghwa.

"My apologies," Hongjoong stuttered while Seonghwa was sane. "I should have woken you when I came in. I didn't know where else to go, but this wasn't as good of an idea as I thought. You must have suffered." He pinched his eyes shut, humiliated by his situation and stupidity. Seonghwa had tended to him with such tolerance and he came barrelling in and ruined it.

"I woke up to your scent," Seonghwa breathed, still braced above him. His hair handsomely fell over his brow. "For a moment, I was overjoyed that you returned, but then... You just smell so mouthwatering." He groaned the last part, head ducking to bury against Hongjoong's exposed neck. Hongjoong whimpered, unaware he had bared it as if in invitation. He breathed as flatly as he could as a cool nose ran along his jaw. Death left its icy kisses on him, so close to that lively, fluttering pulse.

Seonghwa trembled as he basked in Hongjoong's scent. Whatever he smelled, it must have been scrumptious and Hongjoong cursed himself when the danger so close to his neck sent more blood rushing south. He could feel Seonghwa's pillowy lips ghosting over his skin, the smoothness of his fangs pressing without sinking in. Hongjoong bit back a moan. His hands by his sides twitched as they wanted to reach for Seonghwa and haul him closer, have their bodies align so he could grind up against that tempting sliver of pale skin. Seonghwa could have all the blood he wanted if only Hongjoong got to rut against him like an animal in heat. The beautiful, nimble vampire was everything his foolish human brain could ever desire.

"Seonghwa," he snivelled, begging for something without knowing for what. Not enough blood was left in his brain to think and he liked this, liked having Seonghwa's teeth so close to his neck as his body trembled with exhilaration. His demise was so close, could be tasted on his lips, and it made his eyes roll back from how sweet its lure was.

In response, Seonghwa exhaled against his throat. His breath was frigid, tickling Hongjoong's ear to make him flinch. His dark hair mingled with Hongjoong's tangled strands of brown and the arch of his body was so graceful in the macabre frame of the coffin.

Perhaps dying to the stunning vampire wasn't the worst way to go.

"Have my blood," Hongjoong stuttered out, not thinking anymore through his fear and longing. "Drink. Take it all."

The invitation shuddered through Seonghwa's body as the weight of Hongjoong's words echoed through the tomb. Ivory teeth scraped against him, timid to inflict pain.

"I don't want to kill you," Seonghwa rumbled, with trouble to pronounce his words through the drool and fangs blocking his tongue. His voice was music to Hongjoong's ears and his hips bucked futilely, needing relief.

And he knew how to get it.

"Please," Hongjoong repeated, finally bringing up his arms to sling them around Seonghwa's back. The vampire fell against him, matching Hongjoong's groan with a surprised huff. Hongjoong closed his eyes in bliss at the pressure. Seonghwa's fingers raked into his hair, angling his head.

"You are a peculiar one," Seonghwa whispered. He placed the softest of kisses on Hongjoong's neck and the responding shudder travelled all the way to his toes. Needy, Hongjoong pressed up against him, rutting against the vampire. Seonghwa chuckled in his low voice, holding him as his foolish dinner lost itself to the pleasure in his veins.

The first prick of teeth was cautious. It hurt, more so than a needle, but less than the hunting bolt that impaled Hongjoong's arm once. The pain added to the disarray in his insides, made him whimper and drag his heavy length against Seonghwa through their clothes. It got worse when Seonghwa's teeth sunk deeper, opening the wound for blood to come gushing out.

A moment later, the pain ebbed up when he removed his teeth. Hot lips latched onto Hongjoong's flesh and lapped up life's juice he craved. His sucking was passionate, that of a starving man, and the stings kicked right into Hongjoong's hips that bucked up against Seonghwa. It wasn't so hard to throw off the vampire, but enough for him to reach for Hongjoong's hips, pinning him down to offer his thigh instead.

Hongjoong panted, delirious from pain and pleasure. It felt so good, the fear, the uncertainty of whether Seonghwa would kill him, the weight of the vampire's body. He could feel Seonghwa's shape now, could clutch to him with uncoordinated hands as the vampire drank from him and laved his tongue against his flesh.

Hongjoong's whimpers and moans bounced around the tomb. He overheated in his confined spot but Seonghwa brought chilly relief, cradled his skull with one hand while the other one tugged away the cloak to ease his access. Pointed ears had hidden below his dark hair and they were pale like the moon when they nudged against Hongjoong's face so enticingly inhuman.

"S-Seonghwa," Hongjoong choked out when he rutted against Seonghwa's leg like a dog. He yearned for touch, but when his hand lowered to do just that, Seonghwa reacted quick as lightning. He seized Hongjoong's wrist, halting him before he ever got that far. With mild pressure, he forced Hongjoong's hand lax next to his head. Then he went back to nestling open his vest and the laces of his shirt.

Before Hongjoong could go light-headed, Seonghwa slowed down. He licked up all remaining blood and kissed at the wound with lips so pillowy, but he didn't open another one. The frenzy in his body calmed as his caresses became so soft Hongjoong wanted to cry. He wanted to kiss those lips, but he was too shy to ask.

"You did so well," Seonghwa whispered, sweet praise that contrasted with the sweat on Hongjoong's forehead and his hips bucking into Seonghwa's. He was ready to burst, each drag so torturous. Wetness stained his breeches and Hongjoong flinched at every nudge of Seonghwa's thigh now.

"You beautiful human. My lovely miting." Seonghwa kissed Hongjoong's clavicle and down his chest, worshipping his clammy skin that was heated with want.

"Please," Hongjoong wept, fingers clenching around thin air. He needed to reach out, needed to hold on to Seonghwa or shove a hand down his pants to move it more vulgarly than ever before. His loins hurt more than his neck ever could, and tears pooled in his eyes when his lust overwhelmed him.

"Shh, trust me. You offered yourself to me, so let me do you a favour," Seonghwa soothed Hongjoong's quaking. He hooked slender fingertips into the waistband of Hongjoong's pants but thought better of it and glanced up first. Unfathomably gentle eyes studied Hongjoong's state of debauchery, his tear-streaked cheeks and trembling lips. They were so reddened they matched the two red dots adorning him like a necklace.

"If you allow me?" Seonghwa suggested, fingers so close to where Hongjoong needed them, yet not quite there.

Hongjoong nodded against the stab of pain in his neck. He must have looked frantic because Seonghwa gifted him that dazzling smile before he dipped his head to figure out how to free Hongjoong from his pants without breaking off his important parts that strained against the fabric.
