Chapter 7
Emma returned home with Henry to see Mary Margaret and David in bed together, with the baby asleep in the cradle.
Emma quickly grabbed Henry and covered his eyes.
"Emma!.." Mary Margaret said.
"You're home..." David continued.
"Well yeah... what are you guys doing??" Emma asked.
"Nothing! Nothing..." Mary Margaret replied.
Emma, with her hand still covering Henry's eyes, led him away.
"Wow... okay." Emma said once they were finally away, removing her hand from Henry's eyes.
"So, where do you think my mom went?" Henry asked.
"I don't know kiddo. She probably didn't go far. She's bound to be somewhere in Storybrooke, it's not like she CAN go anywhere anyway." Emma told him.
"You're right. Can we go to hers tonight? I wanna know how she is."
"Um, I guess. Anyway, you need to look for your book."
"Oh, yeah. I last remember seeing it on my bed..." Henry went to go look for it. But Emma couldn't think. She knew Regina had it. She didn't know how long she could keep it secret. But she had to.
Then she began to think further.
What happened to Regina's daughter? The innocent little girl that Regina gave birth to? The only thing Regina had left that she loved so dearly?
Emma wanted to know.
She took out her phone.
Hey, Regina? Are you free tonight? Henry wants to come over.
Then she got a reply.
Yeah, sure. Bring him over at around 7.
Emma told Henry, who instantly became excited.
Great, he can't wait.
Then Regina said:
Um, could you get someone to pick him up at like 9 or 10? I was just thinking... whether you want to continue the story or...
Emma was pleased by this. She might find the answers to the questions she had been longing to know.
Of course I can. I wouldn't mind continuing either, so why not, I guess?
But the truth was, Emma was excited by this.
She explained to Henry that he was going to be picked up earlier, saying that Regina wanted some help moving furniture.
Did you tell him?
Emma replied to her.
Yes. He knows, and he understands. Plus, I think he likes us spending time together. Since we're both his mom... and yeah.
Regina said one final thing.
I have to go. See you at 7.
Emma saw this.
See you at 7...
"Robin, I have to be home at 7 cause Henry and Emma are coming over for dinner and I was thinking, maybe you wanna join us? With Roland? And after at like 10... Emma and I were gonna read the book... you're more than welcome to join us." Regina said.
"Of course. You realise it's almost 7 though... shall we malady?" Robin offered Regina his hand.
She took it, then said, "Robin, you don't have to call me that." He chuckled and put his arm around her waist, just as she rested her head on his arm.
Regina stood in her room putting her make up on. She was wearing a short red dress with 3/4 length sleeves and red high heels when there was a knock on the door. Robin entered her room and said to her, "Should I go get that?"
"If you don't mind," Regina replied. She was still putting her make up on.
"Regina..." he grabbed Regina's hands and pulled her towards him. She took her arms and wrapped them around his neck. "You don't need make up. You're beautiful without." She smiled at him, then took her lips and kissed him. There was another knock at the door. They stopped. "I'll go get that."
"Thank you." Regina said to him before he left.
Roland instantly ran towards his father and clinged onto him, and Regina began to walk down the stairs.
"Wow, Regina... you look beautiful." Emma said to her.
"Thank you." She replied, then went to Henry and hugged him. "You alright?"
"Yeah, I'm fine mom." She kissed him, the went towards Roland, kneeled to his height and said, "What about you? Are you alright?"
"Yes!" He smiled. Regina grabbed his hand and led him into the kitchen with Robin. Emma and Henry followed behind.
After they had eaten and talked, it was 10 o'clock, and David had arrived to pick Henry and Roland up.
Then Regina took the book out.
Regina had already explained it all to Robin before Emma, Henry and Roland had arrived, so he was caught up.
Then he took his arm and put it around Regina who held the book and sighed.
"Regina... you don't have to do this." Robin told her.
"Robin is right. You don't have to." Emma said.
"No, I have to. I can't hide my past. I can't run away from it. The only thing I can do, is face it." Regina took a deep breath, and opened the book to where they had previously left off.

The Enchanted Forest
A week after Daniel's death
Regina stood by Daniel's grave. A single tear fell from her eye and landed on it.
Just then, Cora approached her.
"Regina... sweetie..." Cora began.
"Don't call me that." Regina snapped.
"Listen. I'm doing this for your own good. You're going to be queen. What more could you want?"
"Maybe..." Regina began. "Maybe I don't want to be queen. Maybe I don't want your life. Maybe I want my own life. I had my own love, mother. I was HAPPY. But then, you come and screw it up. I don't want your life. I don't want to be you. I loved him... and you killed him. You're a monster."
"Don't you DARE speak to your mother in that way!"
"STOP IT! YOU'RE MAKING EVERYTHING WORSE!" Even more tears began to fall from Regina's eyes. "JUST GO AWAY. LEAVE ME ALONE."
"Bu--"
"GO!" Regina ordered. She was fed up.
She then instantly thought of Daniel, fell to her knees and cried. What else could she do? Daniel was dead. And it was all her mother's fault.
