Sasuke's POV

Present time.

I was now silently walking in the palace garden, admiring the fresh flowerd around me. Recalling the time, I used to watch my wife work here every afternoon.

Oh, how I miss her..

Sakura.

There! See? You're the King, and I'm the Queen?!

Remember that line?

That memory played a very significant role in our lives. Each time I close my eyes, I always hear her younger self say that to me.

Making me want to believe that she is still here with me.. with us.

"Sasuke.."

I turned around and saw Suigetsu smile at me with his sharp teeth. Juugo, quite behind. I scanned my eyes, hoping to find that crazy red-headed female of our old team. When I failed to, I asked her husband.

"Sui, where is Karin?"

"Ah, she went to the Academy to get Kira.." he answered.

I smirked. Kira, is their eight-year-old baby girl. She is their only child so it is quite obvious that she's spoiled with her parents--well, not for long that is. Karin is pregnant if you are asking. Now, with a baby boy.

Which reminds me, Sakura and I planned to have a baby ruler before she was..kidnapped. But, because of the incident, we never.. yeah. Tried.

"Sasuke-sama, are you thinking about Princess, again?"

I looked at the orange-haired giant. They know me quite too well. And so, I didn't answered his question. Instead, I averted my eyes to the new comer approaching.

"Sir Sasuke, these are our findings." Said Shikamaru who, as usual, had a bored look on his face.

I grabbed the folder he reached me and scanned its content. I gritted my teeth as I read what was written on their ANBU report. And if you are wondering, yes, he is still an ANBU Officer. A head at the Strategic's Department at that.

"What is it, Bossy?" Asked the water man as I looked at the brown-haired man seriously.

"Where is it?"

He then fished something from his pocket and showed me a small piece of paper with the note from the kidnappers. I read it and almost screamed in frustration.

"Sasuke, don't let your anger get the best of you." Juugo reminded me and I inhaled deeply to calm my nerves.

So, I forced a calm faćade to show

"So, how is Ino?" I randomly asked the lazy officer. He frowned at my question.

"Ino is with Jiro-kun back at the playgrounds.. You know, you shouldn't stress yourself too much, Sasuke. We will get her back, even if its the last thing we do." He answered.

I just nodded shortly and headed back to the palace. Leaving the three men in disappoinment as I didn't listen to their pleas for me to stay. I have no time for chit-chats. My Sakura is still in the hands of those kidnappers without any assurance that she is still alive. She is in danger.. I am in danger. Heck, I am at the edge of insanity just thinking of her well-being!

I read the note one more time, and cursed..
