It was for like a hundredth time I rubbed my eyes to get rid of the vision of our town burning to ashes. The world's continuum was falling apart and through the created cracks I could see the prophecy of the end coming to life.

I impatiently knocked on the targeted door. As another bolt of lightning whizzed through the smoky sky, I knocked again.

When Bahiyyih's sleepy eyes finally appeared in front of me, the apocalypse hid behind an innocent rose daybreak painting her puffed cheeks.

"Hey, isn't Kai here?" I spewed at her.

"C'mon owl... We just woke up," she mumbled and rest her face against the door frame.

"It is... vitally important," I said with the last gathered patience I found in myself.

"Mhmm... Well, I haven't seen my brother since yesterday... why?" Hiyyih asked with a worried yet still condemning smirk.

Why? What was I even going to say?

I looked away, gulped and then tried to speak with all of the seriousness.

"Okay, listen... no one beside me, Kai and Taehyun knows about that, but our world is disappearing. It's happening faster and faster by each minute, because someone... something took away the fire of alwaysness and we have to bring it back and fix it otherwise we will all fall into oblivion."

Wink.

Importance went by in the flash.

"What?" the lightening fairy chuckled uneasy and put a strand of her hair behind her ear.

"Who's there, Charmy?"

"It's Beomgyu. He is looking for Kai. They are probably playing some apocalyptic game with Taehyun and got too excited."

"A game? No! I'm completely serious right now!" I threw up my arms and opened the door wider.

"Sure..."

That was the moment, when Hikaru stepped in between me and Hiyyih.

"Serious? You? Get lost Choi and rather get some proper sleep... seriously," tiny fairy added sassily, slightly poking my chest with her finger.

I grimaced hurt and stepped back, measuring both girls with a glance.

"... I saw something that even fairies wouldn't believe in..."

Now I understood... It wasn't just Yeonjun and me, no one was acting sober. Everyone was irritated, regardless of whether they were consciously aware of the end. The fear and chaos clouded our minds alike the smoke covered the clear sky.

How could they believe me? What did I even expect? It was less painful to just close their eyes and wait for it all to end rather than hear about the death. After all, that was exactly my original plan, too.

"Forget it, I'll try to wake up Heeseung..."

It was happening again... I searched our whole house, but Beomgyu was simply not there anymore.

That's why I ended up standing in front of the another one and waited for someone to come out.

"Hello, early birds," I forced a wide smile and waved to my sister and her girlfriend in greet.

"Let me guess," Hikaru raised her index finger with an annoyed look, "you're searching for Beomgyu."

I blinked in surprise and tried to look behind them. Is he in there?

"How do you know?" I chuckled nervously and rubbed my palms.

"You missed him. He was here a while ago, babbled something about behind the story of your hide and seek and then run away mumbling something about awakening Heeseung or what...," Bahiyyih explained in short.

"Hide and... huh?"

Kai, I got your blessing... and I found it - the way to Yeonjun. It looks like an underwater portal. We can safely enter it at magic hour. Pick up Beomgyu and hurry up.

After hearing Taehyun's voice I immediately looked up at the clock tower, projecting above the rooftops.

"Does Heeseung play with you too?"

Finding out that only a couple of minutes left until the mentioned time, I gasped and returned my attention to Hiyyih and Hikaru.

"Bahahaha," I laughed out loud to release the growing tension and then put on my resting face, "it's not hide and seek. Pack up and fly to the Starkissed lake. Right now. No delay is acceptable."

I ran back home. I ran as fast as if it was for my life... as if someone was chasing me.

Well indeed... certain something was.

"They must think you've gone crazy. The dimension suddenly falling apart? No one would believe you."

I wiped my tears and looked around at buildings engulfed in majestic fire.

"Everyone is against you. No one sees what you see. And really... it's too late, anyway," voice keep on following me.

I'm not insane... I swear I saw it all clearly... I'm not insane... I repeated to myself, trying to ignore the spirit attacking my thoughts.

The front door slammed against the wall, as I rushed to the house and ran up the stairs.

"Just give up... submit to it. The game is over, dear~" it sang.

Almost there...

Walking fast, I was already reaching for the door of Taehyun's room with my eyes, longing for its promise of safety.

"And you're all losers!" the spirit shouted indignantly, just as I entered the room and closed the door with a loud thud.

I leaned my back against them, relaxed my eyelids and slid to the floor, catching my breath.

I'm safe here... the thought crossed my mind, as my hearing slowly dived back into the soothing music. Just breathe...

Inhale... exhale.

For a moment my eyes rested on the calmly breathing body. I wished to be him... to don't know about anything and sleep peacefully, being just fine with everything that's coming... to lay next to him and let it be... to be reconciled... because...

Hasty steps echoing from behind interrupted my thoughts.

I stood up and walked closer to Heeseung. At first the imagination felt almost utopian... but then his resting face reminded me of Soobin and my previous mistakes I regretted.

No... no, I can't give up on him... I can't let all of the fairies just disappear so easily.

But what can we actually do?

They will think you're insane, anyway.

Yet I was here again, weeping alike a child missing its mom.

I quickly wiped another stray tear when the door opened wide, revealing the light fairy urgently fixing his worried eyes on me.

How are you so strong, Hyuka?

"Beom, we have to go. Tae finally found the way to Yeojun, we have to leave. Right now!" his voice blended into my blurred vision. His hand sternly pointed the way out, but mine only keep on shaking while pushing my nails into the palms.

You too...

Lips parted speechless... I glanced at Heeseung.

"Hyung... Hyung, I know the feeling, but you have to give it up. Damn, please... for the sake of the world, give up!"

I cried, barely feeling Kai's strong hands on my shoulders.

"Can't you see me? There is still a chance to save everyone, but without the star fire we can do nothing!"

"I'm not insane, Huening," I fumbled, my feet stuck to the floor.

When our eyes met, Hyuka's gaze softened, as he bit his lip - was I too harsh?

"I know," he gulped, fleetly caressing my cheek so preciously, "but I can't leave you here... all alone. Let's go, my Rose."

The starlight gripped my hand tightly...

... and so I ran again, completely unprepared to most likely leave behind everything I had ever known.
