Belle French- Library (c)
Since you had moved to Storybrooke you had been doing your best to get into the library, but setting up everything for your life left little time to do anything enjoyable. You hadn't even met most of your neighbours yet due to you rushing around constantly to make sure you had everything sorted to live a remotely normal life.
It felt odd though, the mayor had already attempted to convince you to leave and everyone here seemed rather odd.
You had lived there for a few weeks now, and finally you had a day free, so you thought it would be for the best to visit the library. You knew it was there but whenever you walked past there was never anyone going in or out of it.
There was a sign on the door saying it was open and you had also seen the opening and closing times, meaning now it should be open.
Softly you pressed your hand against the door. It opened.
As you walked in it seemed warm, but no one was there. Normally you wouldn't have continued in, but you wished to read something, and there were no book shops in town.
You walked around and looked through books on the shelf. A book caught your eye, so you pulled it off of the shelf. In the gap, you saw part of a human. It was the side of a woman's face.
Due to the lack of people being there when you entered it caused you to let out a surprised squeak in seeing the person. They let out a shocked gasp as they looked through the gap. As soon as she saw you, she smiled before disappearing. Moments later she appeared on your side of the shelves.
"Sorry to startle you," she smiled softly.
"It's okay. I didn't know anyone was here. It seemed pretty empty when I got here," you returned the smile.
"No one really comes here but me. I'm the only one that works here, and no one really borrows books from here. You're new to town right?" she questioned.
You nodded.
"I'm Y/N. I moved into Storybrooke a few weeks ago, and I've wanted to come here since I first moved it, but I hadn't got the chance until now," you explained.
"I'm Belle. I'm glad you did decide to visit. It is nice to see someone else has some form of interest in reading in this town."
Your smile grew.
"I love to read. This place is amazing, I can tell I will be spending a lot of time here, and I'm sure we will become well acquainted," you chuckled.
