Drabble #1: Magic Tricks
Prompt: In which Jeon Jungkook have a few magic tricks up his sleeve and maybe, one of them is using cards to ace your heart.
Zero Visibility.
That's what the news proclaimed an hour ago due the non-stop outpour in the city. Everyone that is in the road were requested to stop and seek shelter in the nearest establishment they could find.
It already passed working hours and Y/N is the only one left as her colleagues already left a few hours prior to her who's still nose deep in typing away a manuscript in her computer.
She was so immersed that she didn't mind the fact that she might spend the night in her work building alone for the rest of the night.
Suddenly, her computer turned off and all the lights went out. A power outage occurred and she hadn't click save before the stupid piece of machinery shut off.
She wept and cursed continuously but knew that it was to no avail and she would still need to re-type everything once the power goes back.
She stood up and decided to ask the personnel in-charge of the company power generator that is installed for situations like these. If the blackout happened within working hours the generator would be automatically switched on but since she's the only one left in the building and working hours passed hours ago, the operator of the power generator must have assumed it was unnecessary to turn it on.
Upon turning right, she stopped on her tracks after hearing footsteps walking downstairs and a faint light appearing by the stairs.
"Who's there?" Y/N asked, puzzled as she thought that she's the only one left in the building.
The footsteps stopped at the bottom of the stairs and a silhouette holding a candle entered her line of vision.
"Mr. Jeon? Why are you still here?" She asked, confused at the appearance of her boss before her.
"I could ask the same, Ms. Bang." Jungkook replied walking closer to her confused figure.
"I was trying to finish a manuscript when the power went out." She reasoned, standing a good two feet away from her boss.
"Well I was also trying to finish paperworks from today when it occurred." Jungkook replied, shrugging.
A minute of silence went by before Jungkook broke into a grin which made her eyebrows furrow.
"So.... it's just the two of us isn't it? Do you want to give me some company in my office?"
Y/N hesitated but she doesn't want to be rude specially in a situation where there's just the two of them in the building. Besides, if he tries something horrible to her, she could just make him say adios to his future babies.
"Yes, but if I may ask, why use a candle sir? Don't you have a flashlight or your phone?" She queried, curious about the unusual choice of her employer.
Jungkook chuckled nervously. "My phone died and I didn't think about finding a flashlight in my office. This candle was already lit up so I just grabbed it and roamed around to kill some time before the power goes back."
Y/N nodded in understanding and gestured for her boss to lead the way to his office. Once they have arrived. Y/N noticed that there were atleast 5 more candles lit up inside it.
"They're scented candles," Jungkook states, "helps me relax all the time."
Y/N hummed and sat in the sofa opposite her boss after he gestured for her to feel comfortable.
She glanced around the room and the deck of cards in the table infront of her piqued her interest. Without her realizing, she picked it up and scanned it's contents.
"Do you play cards?" Jungkook asked and she got startled placing it back to where it was placed before.
Jungkook snickered and she felt embarrassed of her subconscious actions.
"Questions are meant to be answered." Jungkook joked and Y/N pursed her lips before muttering a quite 'yes'.
"Should we play then? Show me the competitive side of an A-list writer of my company." Jungkook challenged, raising a perfectly arched brow.
Y/N grinned, feeling a surge of confidence flow through her veins. "Are you sure Mr. Jeon? You might regret challenging me on cards later on."
Jungkook frowned, his ego being bitten by the woman he was pining for a good 2 months now.
"Bring it on." Jungkook stated, determination laced in his words.
"and Bingo!" Y/N giggled after winning the ninth round of solitaire without a single lose.
Jungkook sulked from across her. "Again. I will win the next game. My cards were just unlucky on this one."
Y/N shook her head and slumped her back against her seat. "You've been telling me that since the third round, Mr. Jeon," she teased, "I don't think another round will justify your win."
Jungkook sighed accepting defeat. He didn't expect that she's better at playing her cards than him. Shrugging to himself, an idea pop up in his mind.
"Do you want to see a magic trick? I started learning some at home whenever I get bored out of my wits." Jungkook asked, hopeful for her agreement.
"I guess, as long as it doesn't involve disappearance of anything of mine." Y/N shrugged, sitting up.
"Don't worry, it's just these cards." Jungkook gestured to the deck.
Jungkook started arranging the cards and picked out two, the ace of spades and ace of clubs. He placed the two cards infront of her and she eyed him with interest.
"I'm going to place the rest of the deck face down. Tell me to stop whenever you want me to." Jungkook instructed to which she obliged.
She watched Jungkook placing the cards individually, focused on his calloused fingers that might do a quick trick. She didn't noticed anything suspicious so she muttered a "stop", halting the movements of the person infront of her.
Jungkook chuckled placing the ace of spades on top of the deck he placed down and brought it up to join the rest of the deck.
"Again. Tell me to stop." He instructed, resuming in placing down cards, faced down.
A small smirk is dancing on Jungkook's lips looking Y/N eye-to-eye.
"Stop."
Jungkook placed the ace of clubs on top of the cards as before then went on arranging them smoothly. On a swift movement he placed the cards in a neat line the two aces from before facing up.
"You see here the aces right? I'm going to pick them out again but this time, the card on its right will join them." He explained carefully picking the aces with the cards on its right. He then set the rest of the deck aside making sure Y/N's focus is directed at the four cards infront of her.
"This is the exciting part." Jungkook grinned from ear-to-ear. "I would need to ask you two questions and your answer should be 'yes'at all times."
"Okay." Y/N said, not pondering on Jungkook's words.
"Will you be my girlfriend, Y/N?" Jungkook asked, clearly mischievous.
"What—" "Ahem. Magic won't work if the cards won't hear you say 'yes'." Jungkook glared at her playfully and she contemplated before agreeing, still doubtful of the said magic trick to work.
"Yes."
A very unmanly squeal is released from Jungkook's throat. His face was on fire but he thanked the lack of light that covered up his blushing self.
"Woah, that's definitely a good one. I can feel the magic of your answer in my veins," he exaggerates, snapping his fingers, "now, you see, I'll transfer the magic in here."
He flipped the card next to the ace of clubs and Y/N stared at him, blankly. "Uh huh? What's the magic there?"
"Magic comes when both cards are unveiled," Jungkook grins, "happens when you answer the second question."
"That is?" Y/N asked.
"Do you love me, Jeon Jungkook, sweetheart?"
"Yes." Y/N answered subconsciously, her mind processing the question a second after she answered. "Wait n—"
"I didn't know that I'm going to receive such confession from you on a stormy night, sweetheart," Jungkook sighed, head in the clouds after his little mischievous act, "I'm just going to pour all the magic of our love here in this card."
Jungkook snapped his fingers and flipped the card next to the ace of spades, revealing the ace of hearts.
He brought it up to her face and giggled. "Magic, sweetheart. This is the magic of our love." He grinned waving all four aces at her face.
Y/N realized that she got really amazed by the magic trick but she doesn't need to blow up the ego of her boss. "I've seen it before."
Jungkook's overjoyed look vanished in a second a pout forming on his lips. "Oh." He muttered, disappointed.
"It's okay. You're a CEO not a magician. It's kind of cool that you even knew of a trick." Y/N assured at her boss.
"You think I'm cool?" Jungkook asked out of the blue.
Y/N hummed and it takes a lot in Jungkook not to jump around his office because of joy.
"I think you're cool too, sweetheart. Damn, we really hit it off so good. You won't regret being my girlfriend, I promise." Jungkook mused, his eyes sparkling with glee.
Y/N gulped. "When did I became your girlfriend?"
"At the magic trick earlier I asked you to be my girlfriend and you said 'yes'. Thus, sweetheart, I won't allow you to take it back."
Shit.
Jungkook leaped from his seat and sat beside you before stealing a kiss on one of your cheeks, dashing away to the restroom the grin on his face reaching his rose tinted ears.
Y/N sighed, shaking her head.
If only he knew that her heart fluttered when he asked her if she's inlove with him, he might jump off of the building in glee.

How are my lovely beings? I hope y'all are doing well
I apologize for the lack of updates but as I agreed upon myself for the length of time I was MIA I will put a hold on this story until the little dreamer persona in me wakes up from her slumber
As of the moment I know I can't write well and the drabble speaks a lot for my lacking ability to write a good fantasy au
I'm currently at the dark side of my soul map and I heard that it takes a lot of time to get pass through it. Literally, no magical scenarios building in but just plain fetish for severe violence and stuff like that and it won't be good if I write this story in a mindset sp dark coz this is the story I wrote that is so close to my heart and I don't want to let it go
When my dreamer awakes, I'll drop in as soon as I can
I love you all and please stay healthy and safe everyone
Your lost soul,
