—1 week after Pear—

I was just sitting in my tent, minding my own buisness when Neil busted in.

"Y/N!" He yelled, making me s h o o k .

"Jesus fucking Christ, Neil! Unless someone is dying or Jaiden is having Parkinson's fit, why do you think it's such a good idea to run in here like that?!" I scolded him.

"Sorry..but this a emergency, and I feel like you'd know about it," Neil scratched behind his head.

"Okay..? What is it?"

"ImightofsortofhaveatinylittlecrushonJaiden."

"What?? Talk a little slower," I raised an eyebrow.

"I...*sigh* I have feelings for Jaiden, I want to tell her today since...you know, we leave on Friday."

"Yeah..WAIT WHAT?!"

"I have feelings for Jaiden, I just said that," Neil was confused on why I looked like I just had a heart attack.

"Well, I got good news for you buddy!" I smiled like an idiot.

"What do you mean?"

"You'll see. You gotta tell her!"

"How?" Neil asked quizzically.

"Hmm..ooh! Tell her by Lake Lilac! She loves scenic places like that," I suggested.

"Okay..what should I say?"

"What you think is right. You could do a pick up line, sing a song, read poetry, or just be straight with her."

"Yeah, I can't do half of that stuff so I'll just tell her without all that corny stuff. Jeez, I'm really nervous," Neil twiddled his fingers.

"Don't be. As long as your honest, what's the worst that could happen? She says no?"

"Yes!" Neil exclaimed, starting to panic even more.

Max walked into my tent now, "Why is there so much goddamn shouting coming from- What the fuck is up with him?" He pointed to Neil who was basically having a mental breakdown.

"Neil likes Jaiden but he doesn't know how to show it. He's basically having a panic attack."

"Ohohoho, this will be fun," Max smiled like an ass.

"Seriously Max, can you help me with him? He's worse to deal with than soccer moms at PTA meetings," I begged him.

"Fine, Whatever," Max rolled his eyes, "What do ya need, boss?"

"Okay so- did you just call me boss?"

"Yeah, So?" Max sat on my cot.

"I dunno, it's just a little bit weird."

"Well then you'll have to get used to it, boss," He smirked.

I only made a face at him, not wanting to egg him on any longer.

"Neil, all you have to do is get out there, ask her to go with you by the lake, and tell her how you feel," I explained.

"But I-I'm s-so s-s-s-cared!" Neil stuttered, "I have no idea what I'm doing, or what I'm gong to say. It's not like there's any-"

"Neil can you just shut up and just get some game?" Max talked over him.

"Like you're one to talk!"

That comment made Max's face turn pink.

"Max, What does he mean?" I asked

"Oh so you gonna be like that, smartass?" Max ignored me.

"Maybe if you weren't so pushy, I wouldn't be like that."

Max stood up and walked towards Neil, "You know, I don't have to fucking help you get over your stupid little crush!"

Neil also got closer, "I didn't ask for your help!"

"Boys, please don't fight," I tried to say but my request was a whisper compared to their shouting.

"And you think that you're so cool, but you're just a controlling prick!" Neil yelled.

"You're a spineless worm, Neil. At least I have guts unlike you!" Max shouted, his face red.

I didn't want to know where this was going.

"Guys, really, stop!"

I have my reasons why I hate it when people fight with each other like this.

"All you do is whine and bitch! It's pathetic!" Max pushes Neil.

"You think you're so tough?!" Neil pushes him back.

"So now you've grown balls, huh?? Well show me what you got!" Max raged.

"That's enough!" I got in front of Max before he could do anything to Neil.

"Get out of my way, Y/n!"

I grabbed his wrists, which were tense.

"There is no reason to fight like this guys. Neil, you shouldn't have said whatever you said if you knew it would offend him. Apologize," I looked at Neil.

Neil looked shocked, even a little pissed at me, but soon obliged, "Sorry Max."

"You better be-"

"You're not off the hook either, Max," I turned to Max, "It would have turned out better if you were the bigger person, not just throw insults back at him. That's not right either, ya know?"

Max stayed silent, looking at the ground.

"You heard me. Apologize, Max."

"*Sigh*...I'm sorry too Neil."

"Okay, we're burning daylight here, folks. Neil, you gotta go get her. Do your best, Okay? We're rooting for you."

"O-Okay, I'll try!" He started stuttering again and wobbled out of my tent.

"At-A-Boy!" I cheered.

I slowly turned to Max, "Ready to ease-droop?"

Max's frown turned upside down immediately, "Hell. Yeah."

And so, Max and I watched from behind a bush as Neil made his confession and Jaiden swooned him, launching herself from her wheelchair with pure upper body strength, jumping into his arms.

We giggled and smiled as they hugged and Jaiden pecked him on the lips, causing him to fall to the ground.

We sat behind that bush even when they were gone, just to hang out.

"Y/n, you can be a counselor, judging on how you handled our fight earlier."

"Nah, I just don't like fights. They just..bother me."

"Is it..because of your parents?"

I looked to him, eyes wide, "How the hell did you know?"

"Well, you get really upset when it comes to things like this."

I nodded in agreement.

"Do I win a prize?" Max asked jokingly, trying to make me feel better.

"Nope."

"There's no prize?!" Max did a fake a gasp.

"Yup," I played along.

"I want my money back!"

"No refunds, sorry," I smirked.

"Well then, Kitty," Max started to tickle me, "I'm gonna have to rob you!"

"Pfft! Nooo!! Max, stooop!!" I laughed in between sentences, "sTaHp!

By chance, we started to tumble down the hill that was under us, and we the way we landed was..suggestive, to say the least.

Max was on top of me, his knees and arms bordering my body.

We both were vouching, but we soon started laughing.

Max sat up, "Sorry, Kitty."

"It's no problem, Hurricane Max."

"Why did you just call me a Hurricane?"

"Well, you're like a hurricane, when you're going somewhere, you take everyone and everything with ya!" I laughed and soon Max did too.

We both rolled onto our backs and looked up to the sky, which was now full of stars.

"I'm..I'm gonna miss times like these," Max looked away.

Oh, yeah, Friday.

The day I've been dreading ever since I fell in love with Max.

"Me too.." I sighed, "Max, are you going to be okay on parents day?"

"Yeah, my parents never come. This will be the first time ever since they're only going to come to pick me up. I know they won't come early to do all the shit with the other parents," Max shrugged.

"I'm sorry, Max," I took his hand.

"It's okay, Y/n. It's not your fault."

I felt tears leave my eyes, "I..I don't want to leave you."

"Me neither. Let's spend this next days together, okay?"

"I'd love too."

Tension.

I think it's high time we get to the real climax and that's Parents Day.

I made it so Parents Day is an emotional struggle for both Max and You, hence why it's the last day of camp.

Plus, I can't wait to write the sequel uwu
