Knock, Knock, Knock!

Jaiden, Marie, Len, Angelo, Jesse, Li and Louis all stood in the doorway of Mr. L/n's house.

"Golly I hope she's okay," Li sighed, worried.

"Yeah! I haven't seen her in what feels like, I dunno- years!," Len agreed.

The door opened to reveal Y/n's dad, "Hey guys. Looking for Y/n?"

"Yeah..is she okay?? We haven't heard from her ever since she came back," Jesse asked.

"She's in her room. Can you guys try to cheer her up? She hasn't left her room since she got here and apparently she did the same at her mother's house," Mr. L/n requested.

They all nodded and went upstairs to her room.

"Wait!" Her dad stopped them and handed them a cup of hot coco, "This might help."

Louis grabbed the steaming mug and held it.

They all could hear sobbing coming from outside her door.

Jaiden knew that she was really upset, her mom said she didn't stop crying for one second in the car ride.

Not even Sam could help, and that guy was really good at making Y/n laugh when she's sad.

Jaiden knocked softly, "Y/n? It's me, Jaiden. All the others are here too. Can we come in?"

"We got coco!" Said Len a little louder, resulting in him getting hit in the head by Jesse.

Jaiden wanted to do a soft approach since she had no idea how Y/n would react to all them there and didn't need Len squawking around, fucking it all up.

"*Sniff* Yeah, y-you guys can come in," Y/n sniffed.

Everyone sat in various places (while Jaiden sat in her wheel chair), on the bed, the floor, anywhere as long as they were with their grieving friend.

Angelo noticed what Y/n was wearing, "Is that..?"

Y/n was wearing the same blue hoodie Max wore when he came to town.

Y/n had dug her face into it and cried into it.

"Is that Max's hoodie?" Marie asked for him.

"Y-Yeah..he gave it to me. He has a lot of them, b-but this is the one he was wearing when..when.." Y/n stammered, not being able to speak of his goodbye.

Y/n started to sob again into the sweatshirt.

"Nice going, you two!" Jesse hissed at Angelo and Marie.

"Here's your coco, cuz," Louis handed the hot cup to Y/n, who grabbed it with shaky hands.

"Th-Thanks, Lou."

"Drink up, sugar cube. They say the best way to heal a broken heart is good food, so thank your lucky star your dad has a Gordon Ramsay skill of making deserts," Said Li.

"I guess..thanks for coming, guys. I think I need some company," Y/n thanked them all.

"Not a problem, Y/n. You can always count on us," Jesse smiled.

They spent the next few hours talking and laughing about the summer, occasionally mentioning Max, and Y/n getting a little upset, but Jaiden then reminded her something.

"Why can you be sad about something ending when you can be happy that it happened? We can remember Max in a happy way, not in a sad one."

"You know w-what, Jai? You're right. Though, you make it sound like he's dead," You nodded.

"Whoops, Sorry," Jaiden scratched the back of her head, embarrassed.

Sure, Y/n was still really upset about losing basically the love of her life but, she moved on.

Everyone moved on.

That's just the way life goes, ya know?

It's sad, but true.

Though, in Y/n's case, she gets lucky.

Y/n meets her true love...

again.

I sat on a tree, looking into Y/n's window of her and her friends talking about Max and all that shiz.

"Holy shit that was a sad ending," I Said, sipping on a cola to honor Edd Gould who's birthday is the day this chapter was written.

"I can't wait till the sequel, which I'll write I think about next week," I shrugged, talking to myself once again.

I looked to the reader, "Hey you, want a preview of the new book?"

They shook their head "no you fucking twat."

"Too bad, sweetie."

And I showed them the preview...

'Shit! I'm late, I'm late, I'm late!'

Of course that case with the kid addicted to line dancing had to take so long that I'm late for Camp Campbell.

I cut some dude off in the left lane to take the exit, which I'm not supposed to do since I'm still in uniform and I'm in a licensed car from work.

After 15 more minutes, I reached that smelly, old, campsite for that reunion the email spoke of.

Everything looked the exact same as it did years ago.

I smiled at the nostalgic plain, taking in all the memories from when I was 13.

"Ah, memories," I sighed to myself.

And then, I felt a body walk into me.

"Aaaaaand that's all you get! Haha!" I laughed.

I turned to walk away but realized I forgot one thing, "oh, I just remembered- I'm going to update on Wednesday this week with the normal schedule from before but I wont update on Thursday and Saturday this week so I can get everything settled for the sequel, okay? okay. Peace!"

I then gave the peaks sign to the camera.
