I made my way to the Mess Hall.

I found Jaiden, sitting with Neil and Nikki, but Max wasn't there.

'Thank God..'

I tapped on her shoulder to get her attention.

"Hey Jai.. can I talk to you in private..like right now?" I stammered.

"Sure," Jaiden shrugged.

I led her to a table in the corner.

"I need your help," I put my hands together and leaned down pointing to her.

"What's up?"

"I...I think I really do have a crush on Max." I admitted.

"Oh my gosh, really?! *Squeal* You two would be so cute together!" She fangirled.

"No, Jaiden that isn't the point right now. I need advice," I asked.

"Well Y/n, I don't know. I think you should call Marie and ask her, since she's had many relationships before and knows a lot about dating," Jaiden suggested, "But I would say that if he would say yes to you, you know you've found a good person, but if he says no, he ain't worth your time."

"Okay. Thanks Jai. I can always count on you," I hugged her fast and headed towards the exit.

"Hey Juliet!" Jaiden shouted to me before I left.

"Pew!" She made a sound effect for when she tossed a decent looking piece of toast at me.

"Thanks!" I called out to her. "And nice aim!"

I ran all the way back to my tent, still not seeing Max.

'Geez, did he just fall off the face of the Earth or what?' I thought to myself.

I zipped up my tent after I got in it and pulled out my phone.

I found one of my best friends, Marie's contact and video-called her.

After 4 rings, she picked up.

"Hey!" Marie called out.

She looked a little different from when I saw her last.

She dyed her once dark hair to rose petal pink.

She had a couple more ear piercings in her ear with little hoops on her earlobe on her left ear and nothing on the other.

She was wearing a shirt that was white with black stripes that showed her shoulders and had the sleeves down a little bit.

She was wearing black ripped jeans and combat boots as I saw her walk around her room.

She had a little bit of makeup on such as mascara and lip liner.

Her once milky white skin was now more of an olive tone.

"Hey Marie, How ya been?" I asked.

"I'm okay. I miss you so much!! And look how tan you got! I knew a little sun would go a long way!" Marie chirped.

"What have you been doing?" I made some small talk.

"Well, I've been getting better at Bass with my lessons. I think I'm gonna start a band, wanna be my frontman?"

"And sing in front of crowds of people? No thanks. How's the others? Did Angelo dish to Len yet?" I asked.

"Nah, he's too chicken. But he blabbers about him everyday! He's just so infatuated it's kinda scary," Marie laughed, "How's that camp treating you and Jaiden?"

"It's alright. I mean we have a counselor who doesn't shut up, food that is inedible and a bunch of weirdos for campers!"

"How's Jaiden?"

"Her condition is moderate. I think the fresh air is helping her coughing fits. And she has a crush so she's in high spirits," I shrugged.

"Really?! Oooohhh tell me about them!!" She begged.

"Well he came for Science camp so he's a huge nerd. I'm positively sure that he has social anxiety and a terrible case of a sweaty upper lip," I told her about Neil.

"Huh. That's a different pick from Jaiden's usual hunky, celebrity, music artists."

"Definitely. He is nice though, but if he doesn't notice Jaiden sooner or later, she'll be down with Hanahaki and coughing up pedals in no time," I frowned.

"Aye. What about you, girl?" Marie raised an eyebrow.

"Well, That actually about what I wanted to ask you. I kinda have a crush on one of my closest friends here, and I don't know what to do," I blushed.

"Oh! Are they cute?" She asked.

"He's really cute! And he's nice, and sweet and he's super protective," I explained.

"Woah girl, you're totally gushing over em'. What do you mean by protective, What level? Is it too much?"

"No,no,no. Marie, he punched a fucking bear for me! He pinky promised to always protect me and said that'd he'd beat up Kevin if he got the chance," I showed her my arm with the scar of the bear bite, "I even have a scar to probe the bear thing."

"Wow. Defiantly sounds like you got someone who really cares about you. It almost sounds like he must be into you. I think that you should wait a little longer, but definitely give off hints. If nothing happens in all due time, I'll see what we can do," Marie explained.

"Okay thanks for your help," I thanked her.

"Well I best be going, see ya! Tell Jaiden I said hi."

"Alright. Bye!! Tell the others I said hello too," I blew her a kiss.

The call ended

I walked out of my tent and stretched.

I found everyone gathered around David and Gwen so I just joined the crowd and pretended I was already there.

"What camp?" I asked Ered.

"Cooking, dude," Ered answered.

"Thanks," I whispered.

'Okay I can survive this..'

I looked over to Max who seemed pretty bored.

He caught me looking at him, so I waved.

He walked over to me.

"So, where were you this morning?" I asked.

"I was going to ask the same to you, Kitty," Max asked using that pet name.

"You're not going to stop calling me that, aren't you?" I sighed.

"Yep," He chuckled.

"When I was in the Mess Hall, you weren't there," I said.

"Same thing with me, you weren't there when I was."

"I must've been in my tent, on the phone with my friend," I sighed and looked down.

I really do miss them.

We call ourselves "The Loser Club".

It's really fun being together.

"Homesick, Huh?" Max asked me.

"Yeah..I miss my peeps."

"Then we better put that plan into action soon."

"Yeah."

"Well now! If you two think you can talk your way through this camp, then why don't you do it yourselves!" David lectured us.

"OOOOOOOOO~" Everyone else cooed.

"Shut up!" Max yelled.

"And to make sure you two work together," David clipped handcuffed out wrists together, "You'll always be together!"

Both of our faces went completely red.

"I'm scared on why he had that on him," Max said.

"I'm more scared of what he must use them for," I shivered.

"Well, I guess we're doing this, come on," I sighed.

"Whatever," Max shrugged.

"David. Challenge excepted."
