"Ugh..."

I woke up on my cot, the blanket neatly tucked on to me.

I realized there was a sticky note on my forehead, "The fuck??"

I took it off and read it:

Morning, Kitty.
Sorry I left. Got hungry.
-Max.

"Pfft..even his notes to me are adorable."

Something strange then caught my eye.

My hair had a whole lock of hair missing.

"That's...weird," I examined the odd cut, "Max wouldn't do this..would he?"

I got dressed real quick with this outfit since the author is too lazy to describe;

After I got dressed, I went to the Mess Hall to get something to eat.

I only picked up a hash brown since I wasn't that hungry.

I sat next to Max since he was the only one there because it was still early.

"Hey Max."

"Morning. Did you get my note?"

"Yeah, I did.."

I couldn't get my mind off the whole hair thing, it was really damn freaky.

"Y/n are you okay?" He asked me, noticing me being quiet.

"It's just that...this morning, I saw that there's like, a chunk of hair cut off and I didn't do that so, I'm a bit freaked out," I showed him the cut ends.

"Holy fuck..Y/n, I didn't do that."

"I know you didn't. This adds to the whole being watched thing if that's even real and it's scaring me."

"It's gonna be alright, Y/n. I'm probably just being over paranoid or something," He put his arm around me, causing me to blush.

"I hope that's the case."

"It still doesn't explain what happened to your hair though," Max sighed.

I nodded.

"Let's just..stick together today, ya know? Or at least don't be alone since who knows what could happen?" I suggested.

"Yeah. You just wanna hang today? It is a Saturday after all."

"Sure," I smiled.

I started eating and Max noticed how little I got, "Damn Y/n, you eat like a bird. Aren't you hungry?"

"Meh, I'm fine. I don't really want to ingest a hard boiled egg with mold growing on the inside and out," I rolled my eyes.

"Fair point."

I continued to try to eat but I felt Max's stare on me, "Is there something on my face, or..??"

"No, no, sorry for staring, it's just..uhh...I'm just a little worried that we're being watched and, well, *cough* I think you look..really nice today. Not that you didn't look nice yesterday..you always look nice," He stammered.

I felt my face heat up, "Oh..thanks Max, that means a lot to me."

"You're welcome, it's the truth," He winked, which made me blush more.

Soon enough, everybody came.

"Hey Y/n, what happened to your hair," Of course Jaiden noticed.

"I, Uh.."

I looked to Max and he just shrugged.

"I woke up with it gone this morning..I literally have no clue why it's like this but, I guess I have to sort of trim the rest off so I don't look like a fucking dope," I said half of the truth.

'I don't want to freak them out, so I guess I should just keep my mouth shut.'

"Jai, did you take your pill?" I asked her, changing the subject and knowing she probably didn't.

"Oh wow, look at the time! I gotta go do..something! See ya guys!" Jaiden began to wheel off.

"But you barely ate-"

"BYE!" Jaiden cut off Neil, speeding off.

"Nikki grab her!" I yelled and Nikki did so.

I ran to her tent, grabbed a pill and came back.

"Y/n, please no. It's super gross," She begged me.

"Jaiden, you have to," I grabbed her head into place.

"You're making a mistake! I'll give you anything, money, fame, riches, infinite power, your own galaxy, please!" She started begging as I opened her mouth.

I shoved the pill basically down her throat and poured her glass of orange juice on her mouth, causing her to swallow.

She coughed dramatically, but the deed was done.

"You can gag all you want, you're done," I sighed.

"*huff* I really, *huff* hate you sometimes, ya know?" Jaiden caught her breath.

"A lot of people do, so why not another addition to the list?" I chuckled, "You're Welcome."

"You almost killed me!"

"Nah, you're just a drama queen."

"Yeah, that was a little..much, for a pill," Neil agreed while Max just laughed at Jaiden's torture, but I shot them both a glare that says "shut your mouth".

"*Sigh* It's fine, I needed to take it so, thanks," Jaiden let it go.

I patted her back, "See? I knew you'd come around, haha!"

"Don't push it," She smiled sarcastically, then laughed.

While we were laughing hysterically, everyone was looking at us like we were crazy, but we didn't care.

"You know what I like about you, Jai?"

"What?"

"You're always able to make me laugh!" I giggled.

"Do I look like a clown to you?!" Jaiden bursted laughing.

After a while of us poking fun at each other and laughing, the others began to get uncomfortable.

"Ahem," Neil coughed.

"Oh..hehe, sorry guys," I chuckled.

"You two sure are close," said Nikki.

"Yep, two peas in a pod," I slung my arm around Jaiden's neck.

I stood up, "Aw crap! I forgot my phone in my tent. I'll be right back."

I walked away, leaving the Mess Hall.

As I was walking to my tent, I heard some footsteps and the when I turned around-

//Max's POV//

I heard a scream.

It was the kind of scream that made the whole Mess Hall go silent.

"What the hell was that?" Neil asked.

"Y/n.." I mumbled.

"What?"

"Y/N!" I got up and ran out of the Mess Hall.

The only thing that was on the dirt trail was the flannel she had tied around her waist.

Everyone circled around me while I held the flannel to my chest.

David and Gwen ran up to us, "What happened??"

"Y/n..she's gone."
