#SciFriday Challenge 8 - The Alien Fire
This challenge is about to write a Duoabble (don't look on the dictionnary, few chance this word exists). Basically, it is a double drabble, in length... The prompts for this challenge were:
- A story in 200 words exactly (excluding the title).
- Staring a teenager,
- And an alien life form
So... Here is a 200 words story with an alien and a teenager and some other stuff...

The Alien Fire
I was a young boy when I learned that lesson: “You can look at the stars, but do not wish upon a shooting star. Nothing good can come out of it”.
Before this happened, Man lived in Harmony with Nature. Forest gave him protection, and her fruits to eat; River, her fishes. In exchange, Man nurtured Forest and controlled closely River’s gifts.
Man’s ancestors came from the Sky, from a shooting star. The Old Ones, once, knew how to talk to the stars. Now, Man only looked at them, longingly.
I was the son of Man, Boy. A curious teenager, I played with Forest’s children, Bird and Wolf. One day, I stumbled upon a fallen star. I recalled the stories of the Old Ones when I saw someone coming out of it. The stranger was different in looking from us. Even more interesting was his apparent capability to talk to the stars.
I brought the stranger to my father. He became one of us. The stranger thanked us with his knowledge: Technology and Weaponry.
Our struggle comes from this day.
