- 09 ; i'm going to kiss you now

"Come on. Yes - Lucy she's waking up! See, she's not dead!"

Robin coughs as she rolls on her side, her hands going to her neck as she tries to breathe. A hand rubs her back and she looks up to see Caspian giving her a worried look. She then sees Peter, Susan, Lucy and many other narnians including... Aslan?

"Damn, I missed the fight." She groans as Caspian helps her sit up. She leans on him as Aslan comes forwards. Tears shine in Robin's eyes and Aslan gives her a loving look. "Hey dad."

And then he comes towards her and she engulfs him in her best hug as she strokes his mane. "I missed you, Robin."

"Really, couldn't tell." she chuckles through her tears but there's a smile on her face.

Aslan breathes on her and suddenly, her back doesn't hurt anymore and neither does her head. She sighs in relief.

Not even a moment later, Lucy jumps in her arms, quickly followed by the other Pevensie siblings. "We thought you were dead!" Lucy cries.

"Now, why would you think that?" Robin laughs lightly as she hugs them back.

The Pevensie siblings break the hug as Lucy wipes her tears along with Susan. Edmund and Peter have smiles on their faces as they pull away.

Aslan motions for them - and the narnians - to follow him and they do, leaving only Caspian. When she gets up from the ground, she cringes a little when she sees him look at her with a frown and with his arms crossed. There's also a little bag on the ground at his feet where Aragorn probably was.

"Cas-"

"I told you to be careful. I told you that you shouldn't go if there was a chance you were going to die, but do you listen to me? No." he scoffs.

"Caspian, I needed to do this. It didn't matter if I died, I would have saved people, narnians. And besides, I'm here, aren't I?" Robin sighs as she raises an eyebrow.

Caspian rolls his eyes as he uncrosses his arms and pulls her in a firm hug, his head nestling in her neck while her arms go around his waist. "When I saw you under those rocks, and when I realized we couldn't get you out... I didn't know what to do." Caspian sighs as he pulls away, but keeps his hands at the base of her neck.

Robin suddenly how close they are and a blush rises to her cheeks. Caspian grins smugly when he sees it. "You promise to never do that again, right?"

"I promise." Robin breathes out.

Caspian purses his lips as his fingers gently caress her cheek. And then he's leaning forward and softly capturing her lips with his. And Robin sighs blissfully into the kiss as she leans in more, her arms going on his shoulders while his go on her waist. All the secret glances, all the little smiles, all the touching, it all lead to this kiss.

And then Aragorn sneezes from the bag and they're brought back to reality. Caspian pulls away as he rests his forehead on hers, a blissful smile on his lips. "We should probably go." Robin whispers.

"We probably should."

But they stay like that a moment longer, so he can kiss her again.

━━━━━━━

Telmarines and narnians alike are gathered outside the castle, where Robin stood next to Caspian, the Pevensie's and Aslan.

"Narnia belongs to the Narnians just as it does to man. Any Telmarnies who want to stay and live in peace are welcome to. And for any of you who wish, Aslan will return you to the home of our forefathers." Caspian announces and Robin has to refrain from grinning like an idiot. She was proud of him.

"It has been generations since we left Telmar." someone from the crowd says

"We are not referring to Telmar. Your ancestors were sea-faring brigands, pirates run aground on an island. There they found a cave, a rare chasm that brought them here from their world, the same world as our kings and queens." Aslan says as he turns to look at the Pevensie's. " It is to that island I can return you. It is a good place for any who wish to make a new start."

There's a small pause before Glozelle announces. "I'll go. I will accept the offer."

"So will we." Prunaprismia adds, her baby in her arms. She walks alongside Glozelle and another telmarine and stands next to Aslan.

"Because you have spoken first, your future in that world will be good." Aslan declares. He breathes on them and then the tree behind Caspian and Robin twists and forms a round opening. The three telmarines walk through the door in the air and vanish from sight.

The people gasp as a telmarine exclaims. "How do we know he is not leading us to our deaths?!"

Reepicheep turns to Aslan. "Sire, if my example can be of any service, I will take eleven mice though with no delay."

Peter and Susan look at eachother before Peter steps forward. "We'll go."

"We will?" Edmund asks dumbfounded.

Peter nods his head. "Come on. Our time's up." He walks up to Caspian and gives him his sword. "After all, we're not needed here anymore." he looks between Caspian and Robin with a small smirk.

Caspian grabs the sword as he sets his jaw. "I will look after it until you return."

"I'm afraid that's just it. We're not coming back." Susna sighs and Robin's heart drops.

"We're not?" Lucy asks, tears shining in her eyes.

"You two are." Peter looks at Edmund and Lucy before he turns towards Aslan. "At least, I think he means you two."

Lucy turns towards. "But why? Did they do something wrong?

Aslan shakes his head. "Quite the opposite, dear one. But all things have their time. Your brother and sister have learned what they can from this world. Now it's time for them to live in their own."

Peter smiles sadly. "It's alright, Lu. It's not how I thought it would be, but it's alright. One day you'll see too."

Peter walks over to Robin and without hesitating, she throws her arms around him in a tight hug. "I'll miss you so much, you idiot."

Peter chuckles, but she can hear the sad tone to it. "I'll miss you too. Don't forget about me, 'right."

Robin smiles tearfully as they pull away. "I could never."

Then she looks towards Susan who just broke her hug with Caspian. The two girls embrace as they both laugh and cry. "I'll miss you so much, Su. God, you don't even know."

Susan smiles. "I'll miss you so much more. Please take care and don't get into so much trouble." She shakes her head when Robin frowns playfully. "And get married, have a family." Susan nods her head towards Caspian with a teasing smile.

Then there's Lucy and Edmund who both hug her tight, tears streaming on Lucy's face while Edmund tries to hold his at bay. Then Lucy says goodbye to Aragorn, who sneezes a little once again.

And then the Pevensie's are gone, and Robin sighs because she lost them again. She leans her head on Caspian's shoulder as people start to leave and go home.

"I really want to kiss you." Caspian declares quietly.

Robin lifts her head from his shoulder. "Here? With all these people? Cas-"

"I'm going to kiss you now." he smiles teasingly.

"Okay." Robin agrees instantly.

And then he kisses her again and she could faintly hear shocked gasps coming from the crowd but she can only focus on him, on his touch, on his lips.

Cas and Ro.
