- 08 ; final battle

The Pevensie's along with Robin and Caspian sit around the Stone Table as they make plans.

"Cakes and kettledrums! That's your next big plan? Sending a little girl into the darkest parts of the forest alone?" Trumpkin asks outraged.

They decided that sending Lucy alone in the woods to find Aslan would be a good idea, but Robin was still worried and so were other narnians.

"It's our only chance." Peter argues.

"She won't be alone. I'm going with her." Robin decides. Eyes dart to her and Caspian sends her an unsure look but she ignores it.

Trumpkin frowns. "Haven't enough of us died already?"

"Nikabrik was my friend too, but he lost hope. Queen Lucy hasn't. And neither have I." Trufflehunter says.

Robin shuffles slightly, a habit she had when she was nervous. She stops when Caspian grasps her hand causing her to look at him. But he wasn't looking at her, instead he just squeezed her hand.

"For Aslan!" narnians shouted.

"I'm going with you." Trumpkin says as he looks at Robin and Lucy.

"They need you here." Robin frowns at him.

Peter sighs. "We have to hold them off until Lucy and Robin get back."

"If I may..." Caspian hesitates as eyes dart to him. Robin is suddenly reminded that they're still holding hands but when she went to pull away, Caspian's hold on her hand tightened. "Miraz may be a tyrant and a murderer. But as king, he is subject to the traditions and expectations of his people. There is one in particular that may buy us some time."

━━━━━━━

Robin helps Lucy get up on a horse inside Aslan's How as they were getting ready for their departure.

As Robin goes to lift herself on her horse, Caspian comes next to her and puts his hands lightly on her waist, helping her up. Robin blows her cheeks, trying to hide her blush.

"Destier has served me well. You're in good hands." Caspian smiles at the two girls

"Or hooves." Lucy jokes as Robin snorts

Lucy turns to the front as she looks in her pouch as Robin turns to look at Caspian. "Take care, alright?"

Caspian smiles, his dimples showing. "Was gonna say that same thing. Just, don't fall off of the horse."

Robin scoffed as she rolled her eyes. "I fly on a dragon, I think the horse is fine." she replied amused. "Also, take good care of Aragorn okay?"

Caspian chuckled as he looked down in the little pouch that was strapped across his torse. "He's sleeping already. If we need him, we'll wake him up."

Robin looked unsure at little Aragorn. It wasn't that she didn't want to take him with her but it would be to dangerous. So she left him with Caspian, in hopes that he would be safer.

"Can we go now?" Lucy asked impatiently from the front, a teasing tone to her voice.

Robin rolled her eyes. "Patience, young one". she then glanced at Caspian and have him a smile. "Don't die."

And then she took off, Caspian's stare burning in the back of her head.

━━━━━━━

Robin looked back at the Telmarine soldiers that were following them.

"They've seen us!" Lucy yells, alarmed.

And idea crosses Robin's mind and she stops the horse, climbing off in the process.

Lucy looks at her startled. "What are you doing?"

"You need to go without me, Lu. I'll hold them off." Robin breathes out.

Lucy looks at her for a moment before she takes off again.

Robin takes a dagger from the holsters at her leg, because she couldn't use her bow now. She aims the dagger at one of the telmarines and it lands directly in his chest, successfully knocking him off. She does the same with another telmarine and when she goes to kill the third one, she realizes she's out of daggers.

With wide eyes, Robin goes to duck from the sword coming her way before a shout is heard and the soldier is knocked off of his horse.

Caspian comes out of nowhere on a horse and holds his hand out to her. "What did I say?" he asks with a small smirk as Robin climbs behind him and snakes her hands around his waist. "I remember telling you to not fall off the horse."

"I didn't fall." Robin huffs. "I simply got off."

Caspian shakes his head with an amused smile. "Aragorn is safely tucked in my pouch, away from all the danger. He slept the whole way there."

"Of course he did." Robin shakes her head as Caspian rides faster.

━━━━━━━

Robin and Caspian arrive on the battlefield and see Peter alongside Susan and Edmund.

"Lucy?" Peter immediately asks as the two get off the horse.

"She got through with a little help." Robin nods her head towards Caspian.

Peter sends Caspian a grateful smile. "Thanks."

Caspian shrugs. "Well, you were busy."

After Edmund put Peter's shoulder back in place and Susan left to take her place high up, the fight between Miraz and Peter began again.

Robin suddenly turns to Caspian and Edmund. "I have an idea. If it'll work then that's great and if it won't then I'll probably die."

Caspian immediately shakes his head. "Then you're not going. We're not risking it."

"Caspian's right. You can't." Edmund agrees with Caspian.

"Look," Robin starts. "I don't really care if you allow me or not. I'm just informing you that I might die."

Esmund shakes his head as he pulls at his hair while Caspian puts his hands on her shoulder. "And there's no way to convince you to not do it?"

When Robin shakes her head with a small smile, Caspian sighs and runs a hand through his hair. "Please don't die. I... I want to tell you some things before you do?"

"What things?" Robin asks curiously as Caspian's cheeks flush a little.

"I'll tell you when you come back to me. Alive." he smirks slightly when Robin huffs in annoyance.

Robins nods to herself as she kisses Caspian's cheek lightly before taking off, a dagger in her hand.

She looks towards a small cliff that had a couple of trees where she could hide. Telmarine soldiers were scattered there and she swiftly climbed a tree, without being noticed.

She put her dagger back in its holster as she took out her bow, determined to take out as many soldiers as possible. She manages to shoot one soldier when the shouting starts.

As they try to find out where the arrows are coming from, she manages to shoot two more soldiers. When they finally see her, Robin quickly climbs down the tree as she takes off running, trying to avoid every soldier.

She looks back over her shoulder and a small breath of relief leaves her as she sees nobody close enough to catch her. Suddenly, her running session stops as she hits someone.

She stumbles back as she looks at a telmarine soldier who was sneering at her, his sword in his hand. He almost growls in annoyance as Robin pulls out her own dagger.

When she strikes, he blocks. When he strikes, she blocks. That is until Robin is reminded of the soldiers that were already following her. And soon, she's surrounded with no way out and there was no way she was getting out of this one unharmed.

She looked behind her and she realized that she's at the end of the cliff and that there's a long way down. She also realized that the soldiers are slowly walking towards her, causing her to walk back towards the edge.

"Right," she awkwardly says as she tries to find a way out. Her eyes light up as she comes up with something. "You can give up now or well...die!"

All the soldiers share a chuckle as they continue to advance on her.

Robin smirks as she shrugs. "Don't say I didn't warn you." And then, without a second thought, she screams. "Aragorn!"

Nothing happens for a few moments and Robin's hope is almost lost, until she hears a deep and loud growl shake the ground. She smiles sweetly and the now terrified soldiers. "Did I mention the fact that I have a dragon? He's a real sweetheart."

Before the telmarine soldiers can respond, fire engulfs them. Robin coughs a little and her eyes widen when she sees Aragorn - who might I remind you was twenty times bigger - fly down on he cliff.

Once he flies down on it, the ground begins to shake under Robin and her hearts drops in her stomach. "Arago-" but it's too late because the ground gives out from under her and she's falling. She doesn't even register hitting the ground, only the darkness that came.
