- 05 ; aslan's how

Robin walks next to Caspian and Peter as they arrive at Aslan's How. She smiled slightly when she heard the suprised gasps coming from the Pevensie's. Centaurs stood tall on each side and Robin smiled when she saw a child centaur holding his sword a little too low.

They finally enter the How and see several narnian's making weapons.

"It may not be what you are used to, but it is defensible." Caspian explains.

"Peter," Susan gasps. "You may want to see this."

Robin walks alongside the Pevensie's as they raise their torches revealing several carvings on the walls. In the carvings, Robin is in the middle, the Pevensie's by her side.

"It's us."

"What is this place?" Lucy asks, looking towards Caspian and Robin.

Robin smiles slightly as Caspian answers. "You don't know?"

Caspian picks up a torch and sends Robin a half smile before he leads everyone down a dark tunnel. At the end, he lights a fire and it spreads around the room, revealing carvings of Narnians and Aslan and the cracked Stone Table.

Lucy walks forward and looks up at the carving of Aslan. "He must know what he's doing."

"I think it's up to us now." Peter decides.

Robin scoffs and crosses her arms. "My father didn't abandon us, Peter. He's waiting for the right time."

Peter only sends her a disbelieving look.

Robin fiddles with her fingers inside her room, nerves eating her up. What if her father wasn't really coming?  What if he actually abandoned them?

No.

Robin shook her head. Her father wouldn't do that. Aslan was brave and knew when to reveal himself.

A knock startled her thoughts. Robin looked towards the door and called out. "Come in!"

Seconds later, the door opened to reveal Caspian, a hesitant smile on his face. "Hi." he breathed out as he shut the door behind him.

"Hi." Robin smiled. She motioned with her head for Caspian to come closer. "What's up?"

"The sky." Caspian snorted slightly as Robin shot him a playful glare.

"Very funny." she deadpanned as Caspian sat next to her. They stood in silence for a little before Caspian broke it.

"How long did you have the dreams? Or do you still have them?" he asked curiously, inching closer to her.

"They started when I was almost 17 and they stopped after about 150 years. That's why I didn't recognize you immediately." Robin explained with a small smile.

Caspian hummed. "Mine started when I was 15. I still have them."

Robin shot him a smile. "What are they about?"

Caspian smiled giddily. "About our life. Running in gardens, singing together, me pushing you in the ocean." he chuckled, vividly remembering her face in that moment.

"And I pulled you in the ocean with me." Robin laughed, remembering the same dream.

"But what do they mean?" Caspian asked, confused.

"I don't know. I asked my father but he just smiled - creepily may I add - then left."

Caspian hummed, taking her hand in his. "We'll figure it out."

Robin leaned her head on his shoulder. "I hope we do."

•••

"It's only a matter of time. Miraz'men and war machines are on their way. That means those same men aren't protecting his castle."

Robin leans on a wall as she watches several narnians talk a plan out. She was going to intervene if it was the case, but for now she was going to watch everyone talk it out.

"What do you propose we do sire?" Reep asked.

"We-"

"Our-"

Caspian and Peter looked at eachother before Peter shot Caspian a glare and he turned away.

"Our only hope is to strike them before they strike us." Peter decided.

"That's crazy." Caspian shook his head. "Nobody has ever taken the castle."

"There's always a first time." Peter said, with a small smirk. Robin frowned.

"We'll have the element of suprise." Trumpkin agreed.

Caspian frowned and glanced at Robin who gave him an encouraging smile. "But we have the advantage here."

"If we dig in, we could probably hold them off indefinitely." Robin agreed with Caspian.

Trufflehunter sighed. "I, for one, feel safer underground."

Peter looks at Caspian. "Look, I appreciate what you've done here but this isn't a fortress, it's a tomb."

"Yes, and if the telmarines are smart they'll just starve us out." Edmund pointed out.

"We could collect nuts!"

"Oh yes, and throw them at the telmarines." Reep said sarcastically. "Shut up! I think you know where I stand sire."

"Queen Robin?" someone asked.

Everyone turned to Robin amd she suddenly felt the need to turn around and leave. "I think you forget who actually defeated our last threat, Peter."

"Your father isn't here, Robin." Peter argued.

"But he always comes when we need him. Am I wrong?"

Peter remained silent.
