Goddess On Her Knees

The sun shown down on the earth when she laughed.
She leaped over calm waters, still just for her. 
Flowers bloomed when she smiled, her joy was contagious.
Mountains rose from her fingertips, they were at her beck and call.

But now she sighs storm clouds and yells for thunder.
The oceans are choppy waves of her tears.
Flowers wilt and forests burn, an echo of her sorrow.
Grounds crack and mountains crumble making way for her falls.

She is a goddess brought to her knees
