[18] For Now
Sorry for the delay everyone, life caught up to me. Hopefully this chapter is...okay at least :)
ALSO - I decided to put Nova and Clank's POV into one this time. Previously I said I would do just Nova but I needed to do this for length and timing reasons, so this is about ~400 words less than the usual 6000 - 6500 words a chapter usually is! I don't want things to seem too dragged out! :)
Enjoy!

[Nova]
These past 3 weeks have been...odd.
XR, or Nova now, did not know how to feel about all this...change. They went from trying to desperately escape their creator to working for the rebellion that was against an alternate version of their creator...
Yeah, it was a very confusing situation....
Even so, they had to work with what they got. Their current objective was to get off this cursed planet and go from there. Working for these rebels proved to be a challenge too, since most of them hated robots and Lombaxes too.
Apparently, the Lombaxes had a record of not getting involved in pointless affairs. From what they learned, the Lombaxes have not really tried to save what used to be Metropolis now. While they did form an alliance with other forces, the people here were left for dead.
It was sad. Really, really sad.
But Nova knew that these humans were the key to freedom. If they helped these humans obtain their freedom, they would be able to get out of this mess.
Until then, they would just have to deal with it.
"Well, well, well. Look what we have here..." One of the scouts sneered as they passed the main room. They have been getting this treatment a lot lately. Ever since Nolen decided to bring them to the main hideout, they have been treated like...garbage.
Nova sighed, just ignoring the jabs. It's not like they could get hurt anyways, Hell, if they really wanted to, they could squash these humans like a tin can. But no, they had to lay low for the time being.
Because if they all found out that Nova was a robot? All hell would break loose.
They made it to the end of the hall, looking over to see Nolen leaning against the wall. He smirked at them, "Well, I almost thought you got carried off or something. It took you a while to get here." he smirked. Nova just rolled their eyes, "Really? If I'm correct I could say that I am actually early this time."
The man just chuckled and shook his head, "Yeah, this is the first time you didn't get lost." he teased. Nova just frowned, looking past the man to see the exit. Nolen sighed, "Okay so, today you and I are going to go to the scrapyard and see if there is anything we can use for our weapons." Nova nodded at this, following the man to the exit. "If anything happens, we regroup here." Nova nodded, tightening their grip on the scuffed-up backpack they were lent.
It was going to be a long day...They could already tell...
They both exited the hideout, and Nova immediately scrunched up their nose. The smell of rotting trash and spilled oil flooded their nasal receptors. In all honesty, they should be used to these smells by now. The cleaning bots never seemed to do their jobs, but it's not like anyone was complaining about it.
Nova followed Nolen through the alleyways quietly, getting quite annoyed with the way the man was dragging them over to walls to hide whenever there was a little out-of-place noise. They didn't complain when they saw the man's serious face as he looked out for danger.
"You can't just walk the streets like you own the place." Nolen told them when he first brought them outside, "To them, we are the things that need to be eradicated." a pause, "Even if we wear our uniforms, we can get killed. You just gotta be careful."
So Nova just played along with it.
When they entered the scrapyard they split up. No bots were coming through and patrolling these parts anyway, so they'd be safe.
Something to add to their weapons....
Nova scanned the area, just finding a bunch of useless items that would be no use to them. They groaned, digging deeper through the piles and piles of useless garbage. At this rate, they wouldn't find anything and go back empty-handed. And then they would be sneered at for doing nothing for the whole rebellion. Nova swore that they would prove them all wrong eventually.
They were about to give up when their sensors picked up something...moving? Underneath one of the piles.
Nova bent down and cleared away some of the scraps. They were shocked by what they saw,
The top half of a guard bot lay buried beneath all the scraps and garbage. It looked up at them with red-glowing eyes. It sounded like it tried to say something, but it didn't come out clear enough to understand it. Nova just watched it move and twitch and gesture at them.
Nova scanned them...It looked like they had some pretty valuable parts. Maybe not for weapons, but other things...
They sighed, looking around for something they could use. They found what looked to be a rusty metal pipe, it was perfect for what they needed it for...
They walked back to the broken bot, watching as it looked back up at them. It then looked down to the pipe in Nova's left hand. Its eyes dimmed in realization. It already knew what was coming.
Nova lifted their weapon, ready to strike the bot and put it out of its misery. The bot looked down at the ground, since it couldn't do anything to protect itself anyways.
It closed its eyes, waiting for Nova to deal the finishing blow but...it never came.
Nova stopped their actions, instead, they bent back down and pulled the broken bot out of the pile and laid them to the side. Nova scanned for the other half of the body, which was scattered into pieces that they had no choice but to find and lay it next to the bot on the ground. Once done, Nova sighed and shook their head, "Can't fix you, but this is better than nothing..." they mumbled, "Don't make me regret this or-"
"Nova!"
That was Nolen.
Nova huffed, picking the pole back up and glancing at the bot on the ground once more, wondering if they made the right decision.
Oh well, what's done is done.
They turned around, running up the high scrap piles and sliding down the steep inclines. They huffed as they ran towards the other side of the scrapyard where they heard some scuffling. They quickened their pace when they heard Nolen call out louder. With that, Nova ran up the last heap before jumping over the top, landing just next to the man and his attacker.
Another malfunctioning guard bot, probably scrapped for this same exact reason. Nova took the pole and smashed it into the other bot's side. It staggered back and let Nolen go, the man choking on his breath. Nova raised their weapon again, only for it to be grabbed. The guard bot flung it away, Nova going with it and hitting a nearby scrap heap. They groaned, but weren't in pain.
That was the benefit of being made of high-grade steel.
Nolen fired his pistol, the guard bot groaning in protest as Nova came from behind and shoved the pole right into its middle. It fell to its knees, optics flickering,
"Why....do this..to..." as the voice faded out. Nova panted, pulling their weapon back out of their attacker and looking towards Nolen, who just looked at them in surprise. "Wow, never thought I would be saved by a rookie." he chuckled, "Usually it's one of my older scouts that come along with me, but you've surprised me, kid."
Nova smiled, proud of themselves, "For the record, I never thought I'd have to save your sorry ass in the first place."
The man just shook his head in exasperation, "Yeah yeah, laugh at me all you want."
Nova just scoffed, looking down at the broken bot at their feet. They scanned it over, "Y'know, this bot has some pretty good parts to take back.". The man looked at them inquisitively, "What? But we're looking for something for weapons..."
Nova groaned, "Really? Have you ever thought about building your own things? Sometimes you have to make the most of what you got." they looked at the man, "And by what happened just now, I think we need to take what we can."
Nolen was silent for a while, "Well, I'm not going to be making my bag heavy with that stuff. Go knock yourself out."
Nova watched as he walked away, growling under their breath as they bent down to pull and bend the exterior of the guard bot, exposing the inner workings and looking it over. Huh, The Creator really made these like crap...
They stuck their hand in, ignoring the oil and whatever else got on their hands, pulling out one of the processors and examining it. This one could be useful...
They put it in their backpack. Digging into the machinery more and more as time went on, pocketing some circuits and other parts that could be sussed to create more advanced gadgets. If anything, these would benefit their group.
The quicker they get things done, the quicker they get off this planet and leave.
They were about to pull out their hands when something caught their eyes. Curious, they pried open the broken bots cranial structure, humming at what they saw...
A memory bank...huh.
As if on auto-pilot, they dug around, until they finally slid out what they were looking for.
A memory chip...
They stared at it in fascination, turning it over and over, examining every detail.
They slid it into their pocket and stood up, picking up their pole on the way. Nolen has gone off...somewhere. Hopefully the man wouldn't get into any more trouble, they weren't even halfway into their search and they already had a close call...
They shook their head, scanning the area to look for the man. He actually wasn't too far away from them, and it seemed like he was picking something up. With a silent sigh, they walked slowly over to the man, starting to dread this stupid place now. Why couldn't take parts and go?
Then again, they knew that Nolen didn't have scanners like they did, it probably made it more difficult...
They will help the man...just because it would get them out of this trash place anyways!
With that, they turned the corner and stumbled upon the man digging for more items. Nolen hummed to himself as he pulled something out that he considered to be valuable, Nova winced as it looked like crap, but didn't say anything as the man put it in his own bag. "So...get anything valuable off that bot?" The man asked him. Nova rolled their eyes, "Yes, I did actually. I think Louie will put it to good use.
"Ohhh, Louie would work on anything if you give it to him." He said, "He even did something with a spoon once..." Nolen grimaced. He saw that Nova was about to speak but he held up a hand, "Don't ask. No one will ever talk about it."
Nova nodded, "Okay then..."
After a moment of silence, Nova went to help the man with digging, getting lost in the motions of picking stuff and putting it away.
Every part they picked up felt like they were one step closer...
⊱ ────── {⋅. ✯ .⋅} ────── ⊰
They both worked until sunset, carrying heavy bags upon their backs as they walked back towards the hideout. Nolen looked extremely tired, and Nova actually felt low on energy as well.
They didn't feel like going back and getting mocked by those in the hideout.
They sighed, pausing in their stride when Nolen stopped and put down his bag, looking over one of the scrap heaps. Nova watched as the man stared silently at the sun. They tilted their head, "Nolen?"
They waited patiently for the man to respond. Watching as the man took a deep breath in, "Nova, what do you think of when you look at the sun?"
They paused, processing the question, "Well, it's just the sun. Nothing special."
Nolen chuckled, "Really? That's what everyone thinks, I guess..."
He was silent as the sky got dimmer and dimmer. He straightened his back. He pointed to one of the buildings in this distance, "I remember the sunset on the day this whole planet went to shit." He mumbled, "It was a dark day. People dying on the streets. People getting imprisoned or enslaved..." He looked down, "And us lucky few managed to get away. Even then, a few of us get taken off the street almost daily and are never heard from again."
Nova stayed silent as the man went on,
"I can tell you don't get it yet. Which is fine, you were probably taken for a while. Hell, I still can't fathom how you escaped..." he mumbled, "But after you realize what it takes to survive on this planet, I think you'll understand what we have to do in order to get our lives back. He walked back down the trash heap, picking up his bag. He walked forward and put a hand on Nova's shoulder as he passed, "Maybe then you'll look at things differently."
Nova watched as the man went, heading in the direction they came in. They looked towards the sunset, right where Nolen's line of sight was.
No, they didn't understand.
⊱ ────── {⋅. ✯ .⋅} ────── ⊰
Nolen left them at the entrance once they got back inside, and they were left to find out where to bring all the shit they got. They sighed in frustration. Of course that man would just up and leave after they got back. Stupid, scatterbrained, idiot.
Nova just rolled their eyes, they should be used to this by now.
Holding the strap to their bag, they walked forward and went into the main room. Ignoring the scowls and hisses that were directed at them. Hearing some of them whispering among each other as they walked past. Before they could exit the room, one of them called out, "Hey Lombax, catch this!"
Nova glanced over their shoulder for a second, catching the object that was thrown at them,
An empty can...?
With an amused huff, they dropped it down, exiting the room before they angered the scouts even more.
They figured that they could drop these items off by Louie. The man would know what to do with these parts, most likely. Maybe they could even help him make something?
Well, they would just have to wait and see...
Nova knocked on the door to the lab, hearing a faint "Come in!" not long after. They turned the knob and watched as the man got up from his desk, walking over to greet them, "Nova! Hello! What brings you to my lair this fine evening?"
Nova smiled, putting his bag on one of the empty tables, "I went out with Nolen today. I think I bought back some stuff you could use." they said, "Nolen thought they were worthless though. So no guarantee."
Louie sighed, going over to open the bag, he hummed as he looked over the items. "These are some high-tech parts you have here!" He exclaimed, "I could go crazy with this stuff!" He immediately pulled one of the processors out of the bag, looking it over. "Power tools...generators...even some type of weapon...maybe a taser! That would get those bots!"
Nova chuckled as the man went on and on. They watched as he pulled item after item out of the bag in excitement. "I can't believe Nolen would pass these things up. Ugh! They are all just weapon crazy, scrap-eating guys and gals out there. They don't know what true engineers are!"
Nova just nodded along, letting the man ramble as he pleased.
"The possibilities here are endless, Nova! You have a knack for finding parts, I gotta say. I think I would rather make you my apprentice rather than have you waste your talk=ent with Nolen out there. Or the scouts..." he mumbled, "Then again, I noticed something...are the scouts treating you right?"
Nova was silent for a moment, "Eh, not really. Not like I care. I understand why they don't like me. I'm a Lombax after all..."
Louie stared at them, "Well...I get that. I think they'll warm up to you after a while though. Don't give up hope. They'll come around!"
They just nodded, watching as Louie started putting the items away, "I guess...I'll get going. See you later, Louie."
"Okay, thanks for the parts! You should come back later!"
Nova nodded as they exited the lab. Quietly walking down the hall again to head to their assigned room.
And then...they remembered something...
Reaching into their pocket, they pulled out the memory chip that they pulled out of the broken guard bot. Maybe when they go to see Louie later they could ask the man to look at it, if the man was interested of course. They didn't want to seem too curious...
They just wanted to know more about The Creator. Was that a bad thing?
Perhaps. But then again, they could play the "act dumb" card and get the man to do it. They did give him all those parts after all...
Smirking to themselves, they decided to wait an hour or two so they could visit the man again. Until then, there was nothing they could do other than go into stasis and charge up.
⊱ ────── {⋅. ✯ .⋅} ────── ⊰
Nova walked into the lab an hour later, seeing Louie fiddle with one of the parts already. They rolled their eyes in amusement as they approached the man.
"Hey Louie."
The man jumped, and turned around to face Nova, putting a hand to his chest. "Fuck Nova! Gotta warn a guy before you do that!"
Nova raised a brow, "I wasn't even trying to be quiet..." They said, "Maybe you're just going deaf."
Louie looked offended, "Hey, I'm only in my thirties, lighten up, would ya'?"
Nova laughed quietly as the man dramatically turned around and started his work again, mumbling under his breath about kids who don't respect their elders. They rolled their eyes and sat down in a nearby desk chair, watching the man work.
"What are you making?" Nova asked him. Louie sighed, "Just...looking at things right now. This stuff is more advanced than I anticipated. It will take me a while to make something of value."
Nova hummed, looking over at the objects, "I can help you?" They offered, "I think we can figure it out together. I don't feel like doing nothing for the next 3 weeks while Nolen plans the next moves so..."
Louie looked up, "Really? You'd do that?" he asked hopefully, "No one ever asked before..."
Nova nodded, "Yeah! Of course, but that reminds me..." They pulled the memory card they found out of their pocket, "I also found this on that stupid guard bot, wanna check it out?"
Louie took the item and examined it, and an excited smirk lit up his face. "I like the way you think." he said, running over to his desk and turning on his old computer. He inserted the chip into...what looked to be a reading device? Nova couldn't tell, but the man seemed to be so excited...
"We don't have the time to get these when we wind up killing a bot, so I'm interested to see what we find..." Louie typed away at his keyboard, "Hopefully this works though..."
When he was done typing away, they both sat in silence, waiting for something to happen. However, as time passed, the man looked more and more defeated. After five minutes, he sighed, "Well, I don't think my card reader could handle that, or it's just broken. Either way, we can look at this one.
Nova hummed as the man tossed the chip onto the desk in defeat. "Not necessarily..." they said, glancing over at the new parts that they scavenged. Louie looked over, and then back to them, "You're right!" he stood up, hooking an arm around Nova's shoulder's, "Let's do this, apprentice! Time to show me what you can do!"
Nova smiled at the words, going over to join the man at the table.
This was just for their own curiosity. This was all just to get off this planet quicker...
It wasn't like they enjoyed it...
⊱ ────── {⋅. ✯ .⋅} ────── ⊰
Both of them worked through the night, not realizing how much time had passed since they started working. It was only when Nova checked their internal timer did they realize how much time had passed.
"We...worked all night?"
Louie paused, looking around the room, "We did?" he looked over at a nearby clock, "Wow...I guess we did..." He looked down at the table, admiring their work, "I guess we made a lot of progress, but I sure am hungry,"
Nova watched as the man walked over to his mini-fridge in the corner, and then looked down at what they achieved. In all honesty, with their mind, they would be able to finish this way quicker. However, they did not want Louie to get suspicious and ask about how they knew all this. Because if the humans here found out...it wouldn't be pretty.
"Hey, you want something to eat? Drink?"
Nova thought for a moment. They didn't know if Clank gave them the ability to consume...there wasn't any food at The Clock so...they assumed the answer to that question would be a no.
"No thanks, I'm fine. If anything, I'm just a bit tired."
Louie hummed in thought, before grabbing things for himself, "Well, up to you, I guess."
Louie sat and ate quietly while Nova decided to fiddle with the chip reader for a bit longer, discreetly fixing some parts that Louie put in that, in the end, wouldn't work at all. Not like the man would notice.
A while later there was a knock at the door, they both looked over, "Come in!" Louie called out. And the door opened, revealing a very tired-looking Nolen who walked in.
"Damn, you look like shit." Louie said. Nolen just chuckled tiredly, "Yeah yeah, I know I do." he said dismissively. He looked over to Nova in surprise, "Well, looks like you did go to Louie after all. Are you both making something?"
Louie nodded enthusiastically, "Yeah! Making a new chip reader. Nova here managed to find something that could give us more information on what is happening with The Creator."
"Really?" Nolen raised a brow, looking over to Nova in surprise, "Well, you keep managing to surprise me." he said, almost looking proud, "I knew I made a good decision to add you to our team."
Nova smiled back, going back to what they were doing before and letting the men talk.
"You know, when was the last time you even set foot outside this lab? Have you ever thought about going outside and-"
"I am not going out with your bratty scouts." Louie retorted, "None of them listen, in fact, they look at me like I'm a goblin."
"Maybe because you never come out of this cave. I think they could learn a lot from you."
"Oh really?" Louie asked doubtfully, "Go get a drink in my fridge, it might help you see things like I do."
Nolen laughed loudly, "Sorry Louie, I don't drink.." he said, "Before noon I mean."
Louie groaned, "Go on and laugh at my misery. They even harass Nova too." he pointed to his assistant. Nolen looked over in surprise, "They do?" he asked them. Nova just shrugged, "What do you think? They all hate Lombaxes after all."
"That doesn't mean they get to be mean about it..."
Nova just rolled their eyes, "Like I really care. I think we have other things to worry about." and it may have come off a little cold. But it was the truth. None of them had time to talk about sappy feelings when they were all in danger every single day. Honestly, these humans were too soft to be fighting a war against all these robots.
If they ever face The Creator, they would surely die.
They weren't going to say that to their faces though. That would be rude. And sad. And they didn't want to deal with sad, sappy humans.
Louie just huffed, "They're right with that one. We all gotta do what we gotta do..."
And the room went silent. Nova raised their brow when Nolen sat across from them, smiling up at them as they looked up.
"Well, show me what to do!"
And Nova paused, looking at the man to see if he was telling a joke. Louie suddenly came over, "Go easy on him, Nova! He's an old man and doesn't know how to work technology!" and Nolen batted him away, "I am only a few years older than you, you asshole!"
Nova smiled to themselves while the men went at it.
Maybe, it wasn't so bad here after all...

[Clank]
"So, your friends, who are Lombaxes, are also stuck in this...dimension and now you're going to go look for them after you're done with...that thing on the table over there?" Moira questioned, spread out on the couch and occupying herself with a trashy magazine. She sighed as Clank did not respond to her right away,
"That is correct. I can't just go around looking like this anyways."
The woman nodded, flipping a page, not even bothering to look at him, "Uh-huh..." she said, "High-tech stuff...I'll never understand."
Clank tilted his head at the comment, putting down one of the parts he was about to install, "Well, what will you be doing after this...war?"
She hummed, "Hah! I don't even know if I will see the end of it." she hummed, turning another page, "Been here for so long, I don't have that much to do. If I had the choice, I guess I'd travel someplace. Maybe open a bakery or something..." she murmured, "Just...something."
Clank was silent as he processed this information, "If it means anything, "Miss. Moira, I think you'll be able to do those things someday."
Moira turned her head to look at him, "Whatever floats your boat I guess..." she replied. "I think this dimension needs a miracle. A real hero to make that happen. The way this is going...The Creator will take over, and all the other villains too. There is no hope left."
Clank looked down at his work.
A hero...
If Ratchet was somewhere out there, he would have found a way out of this mess and immediately tried to save these people. He was just that type of person. He wouldn't hesitate to fight for what is right...
Unless something happened where he couldn't do anything about it, or he was dead.
Clank wouldn't know until he got off this planet. For now, he just had to finish his work.
"What will you do?" Moira asked, "After you leave, I mean?"
Clank thought for a moment, "I think...I would find my friends, and then..."
And then what?
For all he knows, their dimension could be gone or dying. Time was certainly fractured beyond repair, and he had no power to do anything about that anymore. And now that he thought about it...
He should have let XR go in the first place...
When he looked at the hollow husk that he would take on, he realized that...he didn't do right by his living creation. He wanted them to be just like Ratchet, but in the end, a new life was created that wanted more.
He has no right trying to mess with that life.
Seeing the people in this dimension, like Moira, who have little say in what happens in this dimension, he had no right to dictate XR's life. He had no right to do what he did. And he...he felt guilty.
So...what would he do after this?
"I have an apology to make." he said, "And another friend to search for."
The woman hummed, "I see. I guess that is pretty noble of you." she muttered, "I hope this dimension treats you well, at least."
At that, Clank smiled, "Thank you, Moira."
He looked back down at his work, filled with more determination than ever. Maybe all of this would be for nothing. He couldn't go home, and neither could XR, or Ratchet...if he is alive. So he wouldn't get his hopes up about anything at this point.
But the first thing he learned since being created, was that you at least have to try. When everything seems lost, you have to at least try or you're just gonna be stuck in place.
"Maybe you should come with me, Miss Moira?"
The woman shut her magazine in surprise, looking over the back of the couch, "Huh!?" she asked incredulously, "You really think I should go with you?"
"Well, how else would you get off this planet?"
She was silent...
"I must find a way off this planet by any means. And I think it is in our best interests if you both go before The Creator fully takes over this planet."
Moira ground her teeth, "I think...I think I am comfortable here, for now, Clank." She muttered, "And what is there to see now? Death? Destruction? I don't want to see so many people suffer, Clank."
The small robot tapped his chin, "Well, if you do not wish to come with me, there has to be some way I can repay you for your kindness." He said, "You have brought me into your home and allowed me to stay instead of leaving me in that dessert."
Moira sighed, leaning back on the worn couch cushions, "How about this," she started, "When all this is passed and over with, come back right here and help me start a bakery. That's all."
"But I don't know how to bake...?"
"Tough shit, tin-can. You said you owe me. That is my price." she smirked, "If we make it out of this alive, that is."
Clank just shook his head in exasperation, "Between you and I, Moira, I believe my friends and I could handle The Creator and his allies." and the woman scoffed, "Hah! Well, I guess a robot like you can dream." she laughed to herself.
Clank frowned, "Well, Miss Moira, I guess you will just have to wait and see."
He got no reply, and just shook his head.
He had another mission to look forward to now.
He worked well into the night, fingers moving wires around methodically and quietly as he tried to finish as quickly as possible. There was no time to waste as the dimension was in danger, after all. He was a hero too, and he had friends to find before it was too late.
He looked over to the couch that Moira was sleeping on, snoring obnoxiously as she dreamed. He smiled as he felt the last piece connect, looking at his hard work. Once he activated this...there was no going back.
This would be the new him...hopefully for the time being.
He reminded himself that it was just to get around in this dimension without being confused for The Creator, who he assumed looked like him.
Nonetheless, he hopped down from the table to turn off the lights, immediately curling into himself to charge.
Tomorrow will be a long day.
⊱ ────── {⋅. ✯ .⋅} ────── ⊰
This would be more difficult than expected...
"Wait so...you want me to take that out and put it in here!? What if it doesn't work? Then you're dead and I have nowhere to put your empty husk."
Clank looked at Moira, unamused as she stood across from him. He just shook his head, "I assure you, Miss Moira, that everything will be okay." he informed, "It's easier than you think."
"Easy for you to say..." she mumbled, "You can do anything, I am just a regular human. And I am not tech-savvy either..."
"Well...I wouldn't say I can do everything." Clank replied, "In fact, I can't do this without you, Moira."
The woman sighed, walking closer to the bot that sat upon the table. Clank turned around slightly and popped open a small panel on his upper back. "You will take that chip out, and insert it into the part on the back of the other bot on the back of its neck."
Moira nodded as she went to pull the chip out, "Ready, tin-can?" and Clank nodded, optics shutting off when she pulled it out swiftly. Taking a big breath, she turned over Clank's project and carefully popped off the unscrewed back panel on the back of the neck. She carefully slid the chip back in and waited.
She started to tap her foot nervously as time wore on, looking down at the table worriedly. Did she do something wrong? Was Clank now-
The body jolted up and she screamed, falling back to the floor as she watched the exterior of the bot change, the metal being covered by...fur.
It looked over to her, and she backed up, "What the-"
"Do not worry, Miss Moira! It's only-"
Oh...she fainted...
"-Me..."
Clank hopped off the table, looking down at the woman who lay on the floor silently. He looked down at his arms, then his body,
"Do I really look that bad!?"

Ooooo, things are happening...I hope you all feel excited!
There's also a (very, very small) reference to an unrelated game in here somewhere...wonder if anyone can find it? It's one of my favorites ❤
And also, I have to say that I am not very happy with this chapter. I feel like my writing was way off and I didn't do as well as usual. So...I really hope you all liked it! If not, I promise to do better next chapter :)
See you all next time!
