— making out

"Go, Na Jaemin! You can do it!"

Both Mark and Jeno had a staring contest with one giving him a judgmental look and the other looking oblivious. With Renjun screaming and cheering for a certain person playing on the field, Mark raised his brow, seemingly waiting for his friend to also do the same. It took more staring and feeling the awkwardness between them before Jeno understood what that look is all about.

Jeno leaned back on his seat while clicking his tongue in annoyance. "Fuck off, Mark. I'm not doing that."

"Na Jaemin! Na Jaemin!"

Mark had his attention on Renjun who continued to cheer for the game before turning back to his friend who's looking hesitant. "Don't be shy, be who you are!"

Burying his face down to the palm of his hand, Jeno elbowed him on the other arm. "I'm... I'm not interested."

"I'm... I'm." Mark mocked him, taking this once in a blue moon chance in doing so. "Renjun is out there losing his voice and you're just here doing nothing."

"Watching the game is already enough of a support." Jeno stated, putting his focus back on the field where the game was neck and neck. "I wouldn't be here in the first place if Renjun didn't beg."

"Correction, if Jaemin didn't ask him to." Taking a break from cheering, Renjun got back to his seat which was on the other side of Jeno. He was then quick to correct the latter's made up story. "It only took puppy eyes from Jaemin for him to immediately promise that he'd watch."

His friend being exposed was Mark's new favorite. "Well, what do we have here, Lee Jeno? A witness."

"Hey! Renjun, you also begged for me to watch!" Jeno showed a pout, sinking in his seat out of embarrassment.

"I just reminded you today that we were going to watch their game!" Renjun gave him a look, forcing him to admit the truth. "Why do you get shy whenever it's about Jaemin?"

Sitting back properly, Jeno faced the Chinese student beside him. "I'm not shy, don't get me wrong. I'm really just not interested." He told him, sounding like he was reassuring the male. "I'm only interested in you."

Mark badly wanted to scream on his friend's face that he didn't need to explain himself. The three of them are still going to end up with one another in the end. However, he knew better than to be patient about it. No matter how obvious it looked, Mark needed to give them time and let them explore their relationship. He needed to let them be and let them know more about each other. The last thing Mark wanted to do was change the past.

"I'm only interested in you." But of course, annoying him was still Mark's personality. He had to mock him at every chance he got.

With Renjun laughing, Jeno leaned back to his seat and lightly punched his friend on his arm. "I'm so going to get back at you, Asshole."

Gasping in shock, Mark placed a hand on his chest. "Jeno... are you also interested in me?"

Just as Jeno was about to throw another punch, his eyes settled quickly on the field when he saw a goal made by the team that they're supporting. His body moved on its own and made him stand up, cheering like there's no tomorrow.

"Good job, Na Jaemin!" Jeno shouted.

"Not interested." Mark mouthed at the Chinese student who stayed seated with a smile.

Renjun agreed with the male's sarcasm. "Exactly."

Since he finally got his friend cheering on the team, Mark turned to face on the other side of his seat to see Donghyuck's friend with sunglasses on and sipping his cup of juice. On the next seat was Jisung, eating his popcorn and treating the soccer match as if he's watching a movie. Catching his partner's friend seated along with them made Mark feel the need to ask the question he had inside his head even if the answer was already obvious.

"Aren't you supposed to join them playing, Chenle?" Mark asked, tilting his head to the side in a questioning manner.

"Did you expect me to play even if I didn't attend practice?" Chenle scoffed, fixing his sunglasses. "What will I achieve from that? A broken limb?"

The male's sassy remark caused Mark to stay silent on his seat. This was what reminded him why Donghyuck is friends with them, his circle of friends have an attitude. Jaemin being too honest even if it hurt, and Chenle saying anything that would come out from his mouth. Maybe that was why his lover's friends clicked with his own group, both Jeno and Jisung were calm and collected. Only acts up if the situation calls for it.

Like now, Jeno was jumping and getting hyped up from the game. "Jaemin! Goal!"

The situation made Mark's lips curve up to a smile. Everything was going well. In fact, it's following how the script goes. He felt relieved to know that what he and Donghyuck once ruined, they got to fix it back to its right pieces.

"Jeno, stop overreacting." Jisung spoke up the moment he saw his friend throwing tantrums. "Sit the fuck down."

"That dickhead just pushed Jaemin!" Jeno began to complain, looking like he was this close to running down from the bleachers and approaching the scene to be included.

"It's soccer, dumbass." Throwing a piece of popcorn to his friend, hitting on the face, Jisung gave him a look. "It's bound to happen. Stop embarrassing us."

Mark snapped out from his thoughts and placed his gaze down on the field to see what his friend was ranting about. He could then see the conflict happening between the opposing team, Jaemin, and the referee. On the other hand, his attention was taken away by a certain player who's waving his hands up, taking this chance to get Mark to look at him while the game was paused.

And so he did, Donghyuck succeeded in making his lover glance at him. He then made hand gestures of a heart and also blew flying kisses. Being in their own world, Mark acted like the kiss flew towards him, catching it up in the air and letting it land on his lips. Every gesture was exaggerated for the player on the field to see him and his intention to cheer for him.

Donghyuck wasn't the only one who saw his exaggerated moves.

Leaning back on his seat with the game continuing, Mark turned to his side upon feeling a pair of eyes on him. "What?"

Chenle removed his sunglasses to show how utterly disgusted he was at the couple-y scene that he had to witness. "Ew?"

"Hey, you act as if Jisung isn't whipped for you like this!" Mark felt insulted at his lover's friend making that statement.

"It's Jisung." Taking popcorn from the said male's bucket, Chenle munched on it while wearing his glasses again. "He's an exception."

"Sure." Rolling his eyes, it annoyed Mark that he can't win a single argument with Donghyuck's friends. "Getting to break a vacuum cleaner and it's still an exception."

That caused Chenle to have a concerned expression, turning his head to the male on his other side. "Ji, you broke a vacuum cleaner?"

Confused was an understatement as to what Jisung is right now. He felt lost at what topic they were on. "Since when and why would I? That shit is expensive."

Scoffing in disbelief, even Mark found the reason quite absurd. "You don't want to know."

His statements baffled the two on their seats. Mark decided not to entertain them. That was enough hints for the day. It was unintentional anyway, he was just desperate to argue back at Chenle and that was all he could think of. Mark got his attention back on the game, as well as the people he was with not long after. The game was already at its crucial moment, having both teams tied up with their scores. Winning the game and representing their school was the least of Mark's concerns as he could see Donghyuck looking exhausted from playing. His mind can't help but overthink the worst case scenario, either his lover fainting or getting injured.

Mark wanted to cheer like how the people beside him were doing. Their screams and shouts echoed inside his ear, but all he could do was be glued to his seat. He was anxious at what could possibly happen because the game was at its climax. With the others standing up and having their full focus on where the ball is being passed to, Mark only fixated his eyes on Donghyuck who looked like he was having a hard time breathing— getting more worried that the ball was passed to him. People on Mark's row were silent as they watched the ball being kicked close to the goal area. They were all holding their breaths in, watching the ball fly across the field and finally getting a point from the team who made the goal.

And the crowd went wild. "Goal!"

Mark stood up from worry, seeing Donghyuck stumble down with a pained expression. He didn't join in celebrating the win. He more likely had the urge to go down from the bleachers and run towards his injured lover. However, Donghyuck reassured him with a smile, pointing a finger to his ankle. Even though he did get the sprain in the end, Donghyuck had no regrets. He won for the team and the school he's representing.

Mark could see the genuine happiness that his partner had. A part of him was still worried, but he was proud of him nonetheless. That's only when he decided to cheer— coincidentally the only one shouting when his friends beside him were now celebrating quietly.

"You did so well, Love!"

Of course, that endearment got attention from the people he was seated with.

But Mark didn't care.

"Sunshine, congratulations!"

🕙

"Sunshine, congratulations." Mark calmly told him, opposite to how loud he was back at the field.

With the soccer match ending and having their school winning the game, everyone had a long hour of celebrating on the field. Approaching the players for pictures and also to congratulate them. While that happened, Mark immediately rushed to Donghyuck and didn't waste any time to bring him to the athletes' locker room to treat the injury. Being in pain and being exhausted from the game, Donghyuck just let his body get dragged to God knows where. He only felt his body almost collapsing when Mark guided him to sit down on one of the benches at the locker room.

However, Donghyuck managed to calm his breathing so as not to worry his partner who's running around to find his locker and get the first aid that Donghyuck placed there on purpose. Even if he was doubting that he'd get the sprain, he didn't want to risk a permanent injury if it would happen. He's definitely going to have a check-up after the celebration today.

For now, he's letting Mark take care of him.

"Did I do well?" Donghyuck asked, his voice sounding tired and hoarse.

"Love, you were amazing out there." Mark brought the first aid kit with him, leaning down to kiss his lover's forehead before crouching down to wrap an elastic bandage on his ankle. "I'm so proud of you, really."

"I'm glad." Propping his hand from behind, Donghyuck leaned as he threw his head back to let out an exhausted sigh. "Fuck, I'm so tired."

While figuring how to bandage the male's sprained ankle, Mark raised his head to check up on him, only to see a view of his lover being sweaty while looking up at the ceiling with his Adam's apple being evident from breathing heavily. That was such a sight that made him gulp in a flustered manner.

It wasn't long after that Donghyuck felt a pause coming from the other, making him get back to his proper position— only to catch his partner drooling over him. "Mark, close your mouth, flies are going to get inside."

Mark didn't bother the disgusting remark because he also had something dirty to say. "If only I can congratulate you in more ways than one."

"Hey!" Donghyuck quickly covered his mouth with his hand, laughing at how impulsive this guy was. "Jaemin and the others are going to arrive here soon. You shouldn't say that!"

"How soon?" Mark dropped the bandages and positioned himself to hover over the player who's now smirking at him.

"Maybe after the announcement outside." Forgetting about his sprained ankle, Donghyuck proceeded to seduce his lover who's already looking like he's going to get loose any moment from now. "Enough time for us to make out."

Bet. Mark wants a thrill anyway. "Hold on to me."

Letting out an adorable giggle, Donghyuck threw his arms over the male's shoulders, yelping when he was being carried up and still facing Mark who's not breaking eye contact with him. Being adorable is the complete opposite of what the two were doing. Hands on his thighs while carrying him up, Mark walked over to one of the lockers and made Donghyuck gently lean back. Their heavy breaths echoed inside the room, the tension making them both go crazy.

Mark first had to admire Donghyuck with hooded eyes and lips parting. It's making his heart pound insanely fast in his chest. He failed in holding himself back, diving in for a kiss not a moment after.

"Hmm..." Donghyuck muffled a moan, catching up with his lover's movements inside his mouth. He played with the male's hair as he tried his best to take over the kiss.

But Mark was persistent in wanting to lead this time around. Donghyuck didn't stand a chance and decided to give up. Silent groans were heard from the two, their intimate moment continuing for as long as it lasted.

"Ahh..." Donghyuck threw his head back, giving his partner more access to place his lips on. "Love..."

"Shit." Mark cursed out with a groan. "I wanna fuck you so bad."

"Donghyuck?"

Jaemin arrived, having to excuse himself first from the field just so he could check up on his best friend. He knew Mark was also here to take care of him, but Jaemin just wanted to make sure that it wasn't a serious injury.

He walked to the last aisle of the locker room, catching his friend sitting down on the bench while Mark was in the middle of bandaging his injured ankle. That sight warmed Jaemin, making him smile knowing that there's someone looking after his friend.

However, Jaemin can't help but notice something different. "Donghyuck, did the ball also hit your lips?"

Why did it look so swollen and bruised?
