Sebastian was in Social studies class where his teacher had told them they were being assigned partners for the rest of the year. He was expected to be partnered with either his room mate Hunter Clarington or his own best friend Thaddeus Harwood or even Trent Nixon but neither happened. He was sitting in the class hoping he wasn't being paired with Jeff or Nick. Sebastian found both annoying and found both of them loud, but he will protect them and defend them if he needed to do so, just like Draco Malfoy does with Luna Lovegood. 

Sebastian groaned when he heard he was being paired with Jeffery Sterling. Jeff was excited to be working with Sebastian. He may have wanted to be paired with Nick, but he was just as excited to work with Sebastian. 

Jeff understood that Sebastian found him annoying and loud, but Jeff was determined to change his mind. He stood up and walked over to where Sebastian sitting, and smiled widely at him as he sits down.

Sebastian did not understand how someone was cheery and joyful all the time. Sebastian nodded his head in acknowledgment of Jeff's presence.

Jeff smiled brightly at Sebastian

"This will be so much fun Sebby." Sebastian squirmed at the name Sebby and politely spoke

"Please don't call me Sebby. Only my little brother Skylar and my nana can do so." Jeff pouted and folded his arms

"Fine. I'm sorry Seb." As Jeff said that, the bell rang which pleased Sebastian the most as it meant he didn't need to deal with Jeff anymore.

Jeff gathered his things

"We'll study in the library later right or the lima bean since I know how much you love your coffee, it will be my treat." Sebastian knew he couldn't say no to coffee

"Fine. See you then." Sebastian then gathered his things and quickly left for his next class with Thad. Thad nudged Sebastian

"So you got paired with tweedle dee did you?" Sebastian glared at Thad.

"Don't call him that Harwood. It's not nice. He has a name." Thad became defensive

"Sorry, didn't know you felt that way." Sebastian shakes his head

"Just forget it Harwood, and let's get to class before we're late."

Later after school Jeff was sitting in his usual seat waiting for Sebastian. He waited and waited and worried about if Sebastian would turn up. Jeff kept looking at the time, but Sebastian was still a no show which worried him a lot as Sebastian is never late to the Lima Bean.

Jeff made the quick decision, to pay for the coffees and head back to Dalton. Jeff knew something had to be up for Sebastian not to turn up. When Jeff arrived back at school, he quickly rushed to Sebastian's and Hunter's dorm, where he found Sebastian sitting on his bed in the dorm alone and upset.

Jeff slowly walked in and held out Sebastian's coffee

"It's your favourite. What's going on Seb?" Sebastian rubbed his eyes and as he accepted the coffee and looked at Jeff

"It doesn't matter" Jeff sat next to him

"It does matter. What's going on?" Sebastian shook his head and said

"You wouldn't understand." Jeff looked at Sebastian and said

"We're partners for the whole year, I know you find me annoying but I also know you stand up for me when you need to do so. You can trust me Sebastian. I'll tell you something about me and the reason I'm cheery and why I want to make people smile." Sebastian sipped his coffee in silence.

Jeff softly spoke

"I'm gay. And my mother doesn't accept me. She sent me here all alone. Quite ironic isn't it a gay boy at an all boys school. Because of her I developed an eating disorder. Bulimia to be exact. I'm cheery and I want people to smile because I don't want anyone to know my struggle and my pain. The brightest smiles hides the most pain." As Sebastian heard Jeff, he had no idea how much Jeff struggles daily.

"The reason I'm crying is because I'm bi and Kurt didn't like the idea of that, and said something really really awful that i don't want to repeat in saying, and he with Santana said something quite awful about me and my body, it's why I didn't turn up to the lima bean Jeff, I was too ashamed. I haven't even told Rachel or my family what happened. But I suspect Kurt will tell Rachel though same with Lopez and run my name down to the ground." Jeff couldn't believe what happened. Jeff set his coffee down and hugged him tight.

"You're in a safe space here at Dalton with all your warbler brothers Seb. And I accept you for who you are Seb there's nothing wrong with who you are. You're brave for telling me. And I won't tell anyone at all. Your secret is safe with me."

Sebastian hugged Jeff back and said

"Thanks Sterling. And also I'm sorry about what you've been going through. Does your boyfriend Nick know at least if not he should know but for now your secret is safe with me too." Jeff pulled apart the hug

"You're welcome Seb, and I mean it too. And as for Nick. He does know he's actually been helping a lot through my bulimia and hasn't left my side." Sebastian gave a small smile

"I'm glad Sterling I really am." Jeff gave a small smile back. Then stood up with a wide smile and said

"I have an idea if you want a distraction." Sebastian thought about it and looked at Jeff curiously

"What idea is that?" Jeff gave Sebastian a warm smile.

"After what you told me I don't like the idea of you being alone. So if you want you can come to mine and Nicky's dorm and we can cuddle in a niff sandwich and we can watch Disney movies or musicals starting with singing in the rain and wizard of Oz and yes there will be ice cream." Sebastian smiled widely as he stood up and said

"I'm in Jeff. And thank you." Jeff lead Sebastian to his and Nick's dorm

"It's okay Sebastian. We're partners" Sebastian placed his arm around Jeff's neck

"No we're friends." Jeff smiled widely and excitedly as he took Sebastian's hand and lead him to his dorm. Sebastian smiled at Jeff's enthusiasm and even more so when he saw Nick's enthusiasm of him being in the dorm with them.

Niff found their third friend for their trio in Sebastian and Sebastian was okay with it. He was excited to work with Jeff as his social studies partner.
