BERLIN, GERMANY
Dom busts through a wall with the team following behind him as explosions go off all around the base they are in.
"You were only supposed to create a diversion, Roman," Letty says over the comms as they see most of the base on fire.
"That was a diversion!" Roman argues with her.
"How many of the damn explosives did you use?" Tej asks him as there is another explosion.
"I don't know, Tej," Roman answers him as they drive past a fire. "All of it?"
"Wait, all of it?" Tej asks him as if he were crazy.
"Roman, Jesus Christ," Hobbs says as he shakes his head.
"We got more of your fan club ahead," Catalina says as she sees several vehicles heading towards them. Dom makes a quick turn with the team and the other vehicles following him.
"They're still on us!" Tej says as he sees the vehicles.
"These guys are taking this personal," Roman says as they start shooting at him.
"Roman, we just blew up their facility and stole their EMP," Hobbs explains to him. "Other than your doctor's cold finger, I'd say it's about as personal as it can get."
"Phase two," Dom orders.
"Phase two?" Roman asks since he wasn't told about it. "So you just gonna keep that to yourself? What happened to Phase one? What about that part?"
"Yeah. Remember the airplane?" Tej reminds him with an eye roll. "Everyone drove their cars out but you?"
"I told you, my engine seized up," Roman says quickly to defend himself.
"It's your balls that seized up," Letty states with a chuckle, causing Catalina to smile.
"Just follow my lead, okay?" Tej tells Roman. "And, Roman, whatever you do, don't think."
"Huh?" Roman says as he looks at the comms system in confusion.
"Tej, baby, drop it," Catalina orders, causing Tej to smile.
"With pleasure, love," Tej says happily before he presses a button. "Bombs away."
"Split now," Dom orders as a wrecking ball drops towards them.
"Holy shit!" Roman yells as it swings by him before it takes out all of the vehicles that are following them but a few. "Great plan, Tej," Roman says as he sees the few vehicles still following them. "But just so you know, you missed some."
"Oh, just wait for it," Tej tells him before the wrecking ball starts swinging back towards them, taking out the remaining vehicles.
"Oh, shit!" Roman yells as the wrecking ball takes off his side mirror before he sees the smiley face painted on the wrecking ball. "I hate you Tej."
"Got your ass," Tej says as he and Ramsey laugh before Catalina sees the smiley face, causing her to lightly smile.
Catalina looks over at Dom before Catalina frowns. Letty pulls up beside Dom before looking at him and Catalina. They look over at her with frowns, causing her to be able to tell that something is wrong.
"You good?" Letty asks them concerned.
"We'll see you when it's done," Dom answers her as he looks ahead, causing Letty to definitely know that something is up.
"Remember family," Catalina says softly but everyone catches it, especially Tej, who looks at the comms system confused.
"All right, great job, team," Hobbs says as they leave the base. "Let's break off and meet me at the safe house."
Letty, Tej, and Roman turn right while Hobbs and Dom turn left. Letty sighs as she can't shake the feeling that something is up with Dom and Catalina.
"A hell of a job brother," Hobbs says as Dom drives beside him. "When we get back to the base, the beer's on me." Dom rams into Hobbs, causing him to hit a light pole before his truck flips multiple times. Hobbs gasps as Dom drives over to him. Hobbs finds his leg is trapped as Dom and Catalina get out of his car. "You lost your goddamn mind, Toretto?" Dom and Catalina walk around to the back of the truck where the EMP is.
"Toretto, you put hands on that thing, you're gonna have the whole world gunning for you, including me." Catalina unstraps the EMP before Dom starts taking it to his car. "I don't know what you're doing, but you better think about this, Toretto's." Catalina stops walking while Dom keeps walking. "It ain't too late to stop this." Dom glances back at Hobbs before putting the EMP in his car.
"It is now." Dom drives off as Hobbs hears sirens heading towards them. Hobbs grabs his walkie that had disconnected from the comms system. "Those sumbitches just crossed us."
"What?" Letty asks him confused.
"Wait a second, what are you talking about?" Tej asks him confused as well since Catalina and Dom were the only ones near Hobbs.
"Dom and Lina took the EMP," Hobbs answers them causing Tej to frown.
"Bullshit," Roman tells him.
"Where are you?" Letty asks him, since she believes him because of the off feeling that she had.
"It's too late for me. Get outta here," Hobbs answers her as the sirens grow closer. "I saw that look in their eyes, and I've seen that look before. Dominic and Catalina Toretto just went rogue."
Dom drives onto an airstrip as several cars chase after him before a plane touches down in front of him. Dom speeds up to over 200mph before entering the open cargo hold of the plane. Dom comes to a stop as the plane takes off again. Dom and Catalina get out of his car, looking at the closing cargo hold with hope that their family won't turn their back on them. A door in front of them opens before he walks inside.
Back at the safe house, Letty starts going through Dom's car in hopes of finding any information on why he would turn on them. In the glove box she finds three pictures. One of him and her at race wars and the other of them looking out at the city of Los Angeles. The third is a cut picture of Dom, Mia, Catalina, and the arm of the person, who was cut out of it.
"All right, I got his phone records, y'all," Tej tells the team from where he is by his computers. Which is where he has been, trying to find out why Catalina would turn on them, since they got back. "It's a whole bunch of calls to untraceable numbers."
"Burner phones right?" Roman asks him as Ramsey typed on her computer.
"Nah, scrambler," Tej answers him as he looks at the papers he had printed with a frown. "Same number, but they got some sort of micro-router to bury the signal path, which means Dom and Lina are clearly communicating with somebody that's above our pay grade."
"Look, I don't know Dom and Lina as well as you, but if we just look at the facts, they've been having highly encrypted conversations with some mysterious person," Ramsey says as she walks over to Tej and Roman. "He took out Hobbs. They stole an EMP. Now they've disappeared."
"So, what are you saying?" Tej asks her with a slight glare as Letty puts the pictures back in the glove box.
"Maybe we should consider the fact that Hobbs is right," Ramsey answers him as Letty gets out of Dom's car. "Dom and Lina did go rogue." Letty slams the door before walking over to Ramsey with a glare on her face.
"Letty," Roman tries as he steps slightly in between them.
"Before you judge them, remember, you're breathing right now because they saved your life," Letty tells her with the glare never leaving. Letty bumps Ramsey's shoulder as she walks away from all of them.
"You just gonna let her bump your shoulder like that?" Roman asks Ramsey once Letty is out of earshot. Ramsey rolls her eyes before walking away from Roman. "I'm just saying, that was a little aggressive." Ramsey sits back down in front of her computer. "What you gonna do, email her?" Ramsey sighs before typing on her computer. "Check."
"Dude, shut up," Tej says with an eye roll before walking back over to his computers to see if he can find anything.
Dom and Catalina are walking through the plane when a man named Rhodes, stands in front of them.
"Move," Dom tells Rhodes as he stands in front of his sister protectively.
"Say that again," Rhodes taunts Dom with a challenging glare.
"If he says it again, it'll be to a corpse," Catalina threatens him with her own glare, causing Rhodes to chuckle.
"I'm going to enjoy this," Rhodes says as the lady, named Cipher, enters the room.
"Lina.Welcome back, Dom," Cipher says as they look over at her. "Nice job out there. You excited about, tonight?"
"You're going on this?" Rhodes asks her causing Cipher to roll her eyes.
"You two are with me," Cipher says before she, Catalina, and Dom leave the room. Cipher starts opening compartments as they enter another room.
"Showing me your shoe collection?" Dom asks her as he looks at all of the guns.
"Yep," Cipher answers him with a smirk. "A pair for every occasion."
"You have enough guns in here to outfit a small army, huh?" Catalina asks as she walks around while Cipher sits down.
"Oh, this is just the tip of the iceberg," Cipher answers her before looking at Dom. "You know what I like about you, Dom? You're a genuine outlaw. I mean, you're a man who lives by his own rules. Which is surprising, because when I saw you in Cuba, I heard about a guy who almost killed you with a motorcycle, and you let him keep his car?"
"Oh, that confused you?" Catalina asks her as if it were simple.
"Hmm," Cipher says in agreement.
"Course I could've taken his car. But it's about something bigger," Dom explains to her as he slowly walks around before closing one of the compartments. "This way, I changed him."
"That's not your responsibility," Cipher tells him.
"But it's who I am," Dom states as he walks over to her. "Who we are."
"Is it?" Cipher asks him with a raised brow. "Let me ask you something, Dom. What's the best thing in your life?"
"Family," Dom answers her easily, causing Catalina to nod in agreement.
"No, it's not," Cipher argues with him with a small smirk. "Not if you're being honest. It's the 10 seconds between start and finish, when you're not thinking about anything. No family, no obligations. Just you. Being free." Dom walks away from her knowing that it is partially true.
"got to tell you, this whole saving the world, Robin Hood nonsense you've been doing recently? It's bullshit. It's not you." Cipher closes the other compartment. "Be who you are. Why live only a quarter mile at a time when you can live your whole life that way?"
"Because that's all it is," Catalina tells her with an eye roll. "A quarter mile that lasts a moment. Family is there forever."

"Hey, listen, guys. Thanks..." Mr. Nobody says as he enters the room where the Toretto team is. Mr. Nobody sees that they are all cuffed. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. What? Handcuffs? What is this?"
"It's called abuse of power," Roman says as he glares at Little Nobody.
"You told me to round them up," Little Nobody defends as he looks at Mr. Nobody. "I didn't tell you to hand..." Mr. Nobody shakes his head. "Cut em loose. Oh, man. This is embarrassing."
"So, this is how you treat your old friends?" Letty asks with a smirk as she holds up her cuffs that she had taken off without a key.
"Friends?" Tej asks her with a raised eyebrow. "We don't even really know who the hell this guy is." Little Nobody takes Roman's cuffs off.
"Doesn't matter who I am, Tej. I'm, like, nobody, okay?" Mr. Nobody says as Little Nobody takes off Ramsey's cuffs.
"Nobody. So, then, who is he?" Tej asks as he looks at Little Nobody.
"Him? He's nothing. He's like, less than me," Mr. Nobody answers him as Little Nobody starts taking Tej's cuffs off.
"Clearly, we're getting nowhere with nobody," Roman says as he leans on the table. "I've been in here for four hours, and my ribs are showing." Roman stands up as Little Nobody walks around the table. "I don't know about y'all but I'm out."
"I wouldn't recommend that," Little Nobody says as Roman walks over to the door.
"What?" Roman asks as he turns to glare at Little Nobody.
"Well, thanks to your botched Berlin job, you all made Interpol's Top 10 Most Wanted list," Mr. Nobody explains as he looks at Roman.
"Top 10," Roman says with an impressed nod.
"Mmm-hmm," Mr. Nobody says in agreement.
"That's all right," Roman says with a smirk.
"Well, not you, Roman," Mr. Nobody says with a frown.
"What do you mean?" Roman asks him confused.
"You just missed the cut. You're number 11, so..." Mr. Nobody explains to him.
"I'm... I missed?" Roman asks offended and still confused. "That's impossible! What number did they come in at?"
"Six," Little Nobody says as he points at Hobbs before pointing at Letty. "Eight." He then points at Tej then Ramsey. "Nine, Ten."
"She's ten?" Roman asks Mr. Nobody, who nods. "That's impossible. There's no way she's a 10. I mean she's definitely a 10 on a different scale."
"How about we focus on someone who were not gonna find on anybody's list," Mr. Nobody says as he turns his attention on the screens in the room. Mr. Nobody pulls up a picture of a woman before looking at Ramsey. "We're awaiting hard confirmation, but I believe that's the cyber terrorist known as Cipher."
"Wait, no," Ramsey starts correcting. "Cipher's an organization. Not a person."
"Not according to our sources," Little Nobody tells her.
"What does she want?" Tej says, ready to go find Catalina.
"No one knows," Ramsey answers as she leans on the table. "Cipher is like a digital act of God. They... well, she can manipulate world systems from the shadows. Anything that can be hacked is hers to play with."
"And here's the kicker. You'll never find her linked to any of it," Little Nobody explains as he looks at the team. "Her digital identity is scrubbed every few seconds, worldwide."
"So, basically, she's the boogeyman," Tej states with a shrug, trying to find the relevance to Catalina.
"Damn," Roman says as he sits down again. "She's one of the hottest boogeymans I've ever seen." Ramsey rolls her eyes at Roman. "I mean, if y'all know her, tell her to get at your boy." Roman laughs as Little Nobody walks over to him, kicking his shin.
"What are you 12?" Little Nobody asks him with a glare.
"That was my shin, mother..." Roman starts before he is interrupted by Ramsey.
"Let's just say, people are scared of the hacker group Anonymous," Ramsey explains to them. "But even Anonymous won't mess with her."
"What the hell does any of this have to do with us?" Letty asks as she hits the table, growing impatient because she just wants to find Dom and Catalina.
"Probably nothing, Letty," Mr. Nobody says as he walks over to her. "But I do find it interesting that, apparently, for some reason, she's now working with these siblings."
Mr. Nobody hits a button causing Dom's and Catalina's profiles to appear on the screen. The team looks at the screen in shock before Letty looks over at Hobbs, who sighs with a shrug.
"They've already delivered a fully operational EMP into her hands. Detonate that, they can turn any city in the world into a war zone."
"So, then, what is it you're suggesting we do?" Tej asks as he looks at Mr. Nobody.
"Maybe we find Dom and Lina, huh?" Mr. Nobody suggests as he starts to pace. "Well, first, let's catch them, and then figure out why they've turned."
"So, y'all want us to track Dom," Roman states as he lightly shakes his head.
"Yeah, I know, Roman, it's kind of a big job," Mr. Nobody says in agreement.
"It's impossible," Roman tells him with a sigh.
"Which is why I'm bringing in an extra pair of hands," Mr. Nobody says as he hits a button to unlock the door before Deckard enters the room, causing the team to quickly stand up.
"Ah, my day just got a whole hell of a lot better," Hobbs says as he glares at Deckard. "Mr. Nobody you wanna tell me why you just put me in a room with this tea and crumpets eating, criminal sumbitch?"
"What a big mouth on a small head, coming from Prisoner 6753," Deckard taunts him.
"Don't think we've forgotten everything that you've done," Letty says as she glares at him.
"We are not teaming up with this guy," Tej says as he also glares at Deckard.
"Let's get one thing clear. I ain't on your team," Deckard says as he looks at Tej. "I don't care about you, your crew, or your little family. I'm here for Cipher."
"What are you gonna do, apply for a job?" Hobbs asks him. "Head Asshole?"
"You know, I think that tight T-shirt is cutting off the circulation to your brain. You should get a bigger size," Deckard taunts Hobbs once again. "Cipher came to me first. Wanted me to steal Nightshade for her. When I said no, she went after my brother." Deckard walks around the table where Hobbs meets him at the end of it.
"Ah, yes, brother Owen," Mr. Nobody says as he quickly steps between the two. "Who could forget him, huh?" Mr. Nobody hits a button bringing up Owen's profile. "Former hell-raiser and current guest at a nasty little black site prison."
"Cipher corrupted him and left him for dead," Deckard says as he holds in his anger. "So, if I get a shot to take her down, believe me, Flex, I'm taking it." Deckard walks around Mr. Nobody causing Little Nobody to grab his gun.
"You're taking my boot right up your ass, is what you're taking," Hobbs says as he also steps around Mr. Nobody.
"Guys, guys. The fastest way to find Cipher is through Toretto," Mr. Nobody says as he turns to face them. Little Nobody adjusts his tie to cover up the fact that he grabbed for his gun before Rome mimics him. "Now, aside from myself, there's only two men in the world that have ever managed to actually track him down with any success. And guess what. They're both standing in front of me right now. So, like it or not, you two are gonna work together. You got that?" Hobbs and Deckard look at Mr. Nobody. "I'm gonna take that as a yes."
"Am I the only one seeing this?" Roman asks as he turns to face the team.
"Oh, this ought to be good," Little Nobody says with a slight eye roll before Roman shushes him.
"Use God's Eye," Roman says as he looks back at the team. "We put our lives on the line, running around the world trying to figure this thing out. It can find anybody, right? Let's use it to find Dom."
"Roman, that is a great idea," Mr. Nobody says as he puts his remote in his pocket.
"Did you hear that?" Roman asks as he looks at Ramsey. "Great idea. No, no, no, don't tune it out. Huh?"
"Mr. Nobody, let's fire it up, huh?" Hobbs says as he looks over at Mr. Nobody.
