(On the BatJet, Spoiler and Red Robin are being debriefed by Bruce Wayne over a video screen in the cockpit. Harley is flying.)

Bruce: Our best chance to stop Octavius is a preemptive strike.

Red Robin: Sounds more military than vigilante. You try calling the Army?

Bruce: There IS no Army...not yet. To break up the Regime, we had to start from the ground up.

Red Robin: So... what? Us three extradite Octavius from under his entire robotic army?!

Bruce: Otto is their Alpha. Take him down and the robots will submit. But be wary of running into other members of the Society. They're more coordinated than we knew.

Spoiler: Next stop, OCKCORP.

Red Robin: Guess I'd better call the sitter. Mommy and Daddy are coming home late.

(gets up and goes to the back of the let to make the call)

Bruce: If... this is more than you and Tim are comfortable with, Stephanie, I'll have Sub-Zero and Scorpion take over.

Spoiker: No. We can do this.

Bruce: You've been out of the fight a long time. You have a family.

Spoiler: You're family, too, Bruce. I couldn't be there to finish the fight against Spider-Man. I'm DAMN sure finishing THIS one.

(Later, in OCKCORP, a sort of "pep rally" has been assembled amid the employees there. The trio of heroes sneak behind them to watch. Doctor Octopus marches up some steps to the stage like he's Patton... and the crowd goes silent as he approaches them.)

Octopus: OCKCORP, our time has come! In a few short hours, we break the yoke of oppression... forever! NO more Regime! NO more Justice Champions! Today, the world welcomes its NEW masters: the SOCIETY!

Employees: YEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAH!

(Then the Society members flank Octopus. To his right are Mysterio, Bullseye, Bane and Moonstone. On his left are Poison Ivy, Charmcaster and Catwoman.)

Octopus: Today, we show the world that WE are superior! Today, we bring anyone who would DARE stand against us... TO... THEIR... KNEES!

(The crowd raise their guns and cheer as they get psyched. The trio is concerned.)

Red Robin: Self-esteem...not that guy's problem.

Harley: That's a lot more than a few Society members... it's ALL of 'em!

Spoiler: They're headed indoors, outta sight from the soldiers. Harley, keep the jet warm. When we signal, bail us out.

(Harley winks and heads for the jet)

(As the Society walks-and-talks...)

Catwoman: Laid it on a little think, Octavius. You hire Spider-Man's speech writer?

Octavius: Soldiers must be properly motivated to sacrifice their lives, Catwoman.

Bane: Hate is the perennial motivator.

Charmcaster: Better not turn that hate on us or this "Society" is over.

Octopus: As long as we have a common agenda, Charmcaster, you have nothing to fear.

Moonstone: You mean as long as we follow your orders.

(Bullseye walks up to the group.)

Octopus: Report, Bullseye.

Bullseye: We're ready to move out.

Bullseye: Good. Now, go tell the others. Karla, Hope, you're with the first wave.

Charmcaster: We already lost a shipment at Slaughter Swamp. I hope your silent partner can still deliver. (Leaves with Moonstone and Bullseye)

Catwoman: Maybe it's time you spilled the identity of our "silent partner" since we're relying so much on him...or her.

Octavius: HE will soon make his presence known. But, for now,...

Red Robin: But, first, a few words from the Brave and the Bold!

(Red Robin and Spoiler jump down from where they were watching. Octopus, Bane and Catwoman approach but Spoiler throws some explosives which push them back.)

Spoiler: I'm the BRAVE one, right?

Red Robin: I'm not BOLD enough to disagree.

Octopus: (as the Society gets to their feet) The saboteurs of Slaughter Swamp, I presume. Hmph! (to Bane and Catwoman) Handle this. (walks away as the two Gotham villains approach)

Catwoman: (cracking her whip) I call first dibs.

Red Robin: (to Spoiler) Go pin the luchador.

(As Spoiler goes to fight Bane, Red Robin fires a birdarang which Catwoman dodges. He swings his staff at her twice and she flips out of the way.)

Catwoman: You have no idea what you're doing!

Red Robin: Sure I do. I'm in OCKCORP, fighting a lady in a cat-suit. This is one for the bucket list.

(Catwoman is quite agile and good and long-range combat... but, then again, so is Red Robin. And birdanangs can reach WAY further than a whip. Catwoman fights her heart out, but Tim is just too much.)

Red Robin: There. I can die happy.

Spoiler: TIIIIIIIIIIM! (screams as she's thrown backwards and above Red Robin)

Red Robin: (helping her up) So... everything's under control?

(Spoiler looks at him sarcastically... then the two straighten up as Bane approaches.)

(Bane stomps towards the duo. As he gets within a certain distance, he hits buttons on his forearms. The Venom toxin pours into his head, bulking the wrestler up even more.)

Spoiler: One of us needs to distract him while the other snips his tubes.

Red Robin: (wincing a bit) Ouch.

Spoiler: His VENOM tubes, Tim.

(Red Robin "ah"s and nods.)

Bane: (scoffs and laughs) How kind of Batman, sending his underlings. I will enjoy returning you to him... in body bags!

Spoiler: Go. I'll keep Bane busy.

(With a nod, Red Robin runs to the side. Bane pays him little mind.)

Bane: Little birdy, you will sing a song of pain!

Spoiler: Oh, I'll sing a song... but YOU'LL feel the pain!

(One WOULD think this a mismatch; a strong brute vs. a hero with just gadgets. But the gadgets hurt Bane's face, even through his mask. And, when angry, he tends to rush into things and swing wildly, which Stephanie easily dodges. A few well-placed kicks and Bane staggers to his knees.)

Spoiler: Tim, now!

(As Bane gets back to his feet, Red Robin fires from behind Spoiler and slices Bane's Venom tubes, immediately weakening him.)

Bane: (weakly) No...

(A dropkick by Spoiler puts Bane down for good.)

Red Robin: Now where's that damn dirty ape?

(Before they can find him, though, a blinding light appears in front of them. A portal appears, and Doctor Strange comes out from it.)

Strange: I come to you as darkness falls...

Spoiler: Doctor Strange?!

Strange: Stephanie Brown, Timothy Drake, in the past I have shielded you from danger. But a grave crisis looms... and I do not know if I can stop it.

Red Robin: Y'mean Octavius and company? We've got that covered.

Strange: Otto is the pawn of a much greater master. A new threat is coming. I have foreseen it. Leave with me now while I can still save you.

Spoiler: If that's the case, we're staying here. Batman'll need our help.

Strange: Everyone and everything you know will die. I will shepherd you to safety before you suffer the same fate. (warms up his hands with magic power) By FORCE, if necessary!

Spoiler: You've been isolated in the inner sanctum for too long.

Red Robin: Now we'll wake you up to the world again. (to Spoiler) Cover me.

(Spoiler goes to the side.)

Strange: Timothy Drake, you must flee this Earth before the thread of your fate unravels.

Red Robin: Would LOVE to do that... but I only take orders from her.

(Even with mighty powers at his beck-and-call, Doctor Strange somehow can't think dynamically like Tim. While his attacks are powerful, they aren't able to hit the agile Drake too often. With quick strikes and quicker moves, Tim is able to knock him down.)

Red Robin: (as Spoiler re-joins him) This day just keeps getting weirder.

(The two approach the hurt Strange. Spoiler helps Fate sit up. Steohen puts his hand on his temple, as if suffering a hangover.)

Spoiler: Stephen, you okay?

Red Robin: Your eye of Agamoto really had you going.

Strange: Somehow I lost control. Thanks to you, I'm back in charge... for now. (stands up) I have to go consult Wong. Only then I'll try to intervene before it's too late.

Spoiler: Too late for WHAT, Stephen? What's going down?!

Strange: Something bars me from saying more. Fate has been changed too many times. This planet's destiny is no longer clear. What comes next, mere mortals cannot stop. For better or worse, your fate rests in the gods' hands.

(Strange creates a portal and floats back into it.)

Red Robin: That was...spooky. 

Spoiler: Ye-e-eah. C'mon, let's find Octavius and get the hell outta here.

(The couple runs to find Octavius... and they find him surrounded by his robotic soldiers. Otto then marches past them and tosses an unconscious Harley at Tim and Stephanie's feet.)

Octopus: You've overstayed your welcome.

Spoiler: We're happy to check-out, but you're coming with us.

(Red Robin fires three birdarangs at once at Otto... but he uses his tendrils to stop them from striking him.)

Red Robin: Fighting an evil scientist wasn't enough. HAD to throw in tendrils!

(The soldiers and Red Robin back up.)

Spoiler: This wannabe tyrant is mine!

(Red Robin withdraws as Spoiler approaches Octavius.)

Octopus: Your bravado is empty, Stephanie. Like the rest of your kind, you will soon kneel before me! 

Spoiler: "Kneel before Octavius"? That doesn't sound right.

(Spoiler makes the most of her agility and her defense, keeping Otto at bay. Octavius' tendrils, however, balances the scales. In the end, Spoiler is able to overcome Otto and put him down.)

Spoiler: Beauty beats beast!

Red Robin: (as he re-joins Spoiler) That right there? That's why I love you.

(More robotic soldiers walk by. Red Robin whistles shrilly to get their attention. They see Otto down and out and, as Tim prepares to hit them, they scatter. Tim then puts massive handcuffs on Octavius as he comes to.)

Spoiler: Surprised that worked. Let's call it a day and get Harley out of here.

(Otto starts to chuckle maniacally.)

Red Robin: It's never a good sign when you slap the cuffs on and then they start chuckling.

Octopus: Inferior humans, you've won this battle but you've already lost the war!

(Suddenly, the earth starts to shake a bit. A large spaceship starts to hover over where the heroes are.)

Spoiler: Holy shit.

????: CHAOS CONTROL!

(Then everything gets slow as Shadow manages to save both Red Robin and Spoiler, and they gets them back to Hyperion.)

Red Robin: Shadow?

Shadow: You never cease to surprise me, humans. Though you weren't aware about the being in charge of the spaceship which would have sucked you up if I didn't come in time.

Spoiler: Who is the one behind the ship?

Edge: The true mastermind behind the Society. He is known for many names. But he is usually called Kang the Conqueror.

Simon: It's believed that he is after Spider-Man. The question is... why?

Tokuro: Mephisto told me something about the 31st century.

Red Robin: The timeline he possibly came from.

Tokuro: Exactly.

Molly: We should tell this to Daniel, shouldn't we?

(Meanwhile in the Batcave, Bruce and Daniel are seen looking over Brother Eye, unaware of the chaos ensuing.)

Bruce: Brother Eye, give me an update on the team at Gorilla City.

Brother Eye: I cannot do that, Bruce Wayne of Earth.

Daniel: Why not?!

Brother Eye: Because I am NOT Brother Eye. (screens start to show Kang's symbol and his face) I am Kang the Conqueror. (Bruce tries to hack into Brother Eye) You cannot regain control. Over the past days, Brother Eye has been absorbed into my neural network. It is now an extension of my mind. You two, a fragile human and a half-ghost, captured and imprisoned a fully developed arachnid avenger.

Bruce: Maybe we're not so fragile.

Kang: To prevail, Bruce Wayne, you harnessed advanced sciences: nano-technology, satellite communications, inter-dimensional transit. I am taking these tools from you.

Daniel: Why?

Kang: The Spider belongs to me. And, soon, so will your planet.

(As alarms go off in the cave, Bruce tries again to hack into Brother Eye... but to no avail. He then hears booms outside the Batcave and knows who's here. There's only one thing to do: don the suit and become the Batman while Daniel becomes Kamen Rider Ghost! As the robots look for him, Batman and Kamen Rider Ghost get into the Batwing and fliy straight towards them. But the robots jump onto the Batwing to try and take him down. Batman and Kamen Rider Ghost fly upwards through a silo, sending all but one of the robots off. The lone Beta punches at the window, cracking it, but Batman and Kamen Rider Ghost keep flying.)

(Meanwhile, in Oscorp, Iron Patriot and Captain Marvel look into a panel of Norman's making. It shows Kang's flagship, hovering within the clouds.)

C. Marvel: My god! Where else besides New York?

I. Patriot: Gotham, Beijing, Moscow. So many cities, all at once.

(A fair bit aside, Kid Airachnid sees the  ship... and is horrified!)

K. Arachnid: It's him...

C. Marvel: Who, Miles? Who is it?

K. Arachnid: (can't find the words) We need to get Peter... now! (approaches the panel in shock)

(Later, at the Latveria Prison for Meta-Humans on Striker's Island, one of the prisoners sits alone in a dome bathed in ethyl chloride. Here, he is simply Prisoner 120192. But, a decade ago, he was the greatest superhero of all time. The Friendly Neighborhood. The Arachnid member of the Avengers. He was Spider-Man. Now, he's Peter Parker and the Ethyl Chloride nullifies his powers. As he sits on his bed, Batman and Kamen Rider Ghost strides up to the cell. It takes a few seconds, but Peter recognizes two people have come to visit him. He looks behind him to see Batman and Kamen Rider Ghost.)

Peter: You're wearing the suits. Am I in trouble again?

Ghost: I wish...

Batman: Kang. What can you tell me?

Peter: (stunned, stands up and goes to the dome) How do you know that name?!

Ghost: You're afraid of him. He's invading. He says you belong to him.

Peter: He was defeated once, and he's probably back for revenge.

Batman: You never mentioned that before. How do we beat him?

Peter: (smirks a bit) You can't... not without me.

Ghost: (indignant) We'll FIND a way! Right, father? (turns and leaves)

Batman: Right! (leaves as well)

Peter: (pounds dome) This is MY fight, Bruce! You and Daniel NEED me! Bruce! Daniel! BRUCE!! DANIEL!!

(But Batman and Kamen Rider Ghost ignore Peter's pleas and exit the compound.)
