Short Review: Okay I have to say this concept has me hooked already. I mean, there's people who can turn into birds and there's fairies and there's an epic quest all in chapter one. Plus, there's an exceptionally robust world filled with complex political undertones and fantasy elements that are super enticing. If you love fantasy with deep world building this is... *chef's kiss* so beautiful! 

Also, can I just say that I love Wera's descriptions and dialogue and character interactions? I love how complex the world is, how easily she interjects new concepts, and especially how realistic the parent-child relationships are in this story. One of them is a fish and the other one is a human that can become a bird. Yet somehow, they both remind me of that awkward time where you feel like an adult and your parents are still doing that parent thing where they tell you to eat your vegetables and go to sleep at a decent hour.

So if you love complex and interesting worlds, Asian settings, engaging relationships, and unique romantic troubles, I'd definitely recommend wera_nyooms 's Broken Bonds.
