It took some time for the clan to recover since their big skirmish with the Quarrymen and the angry mob of anti-gargoyle group. Kaori herself was no exception. Lex had to struggle to help her feel better from being traumatized out there.

While one time they were in the tv room together, Kaori had broken down in tears from a sudden panic attack. Lex moved near her, taking his girl's hand in his gently.

"What's wrong?" he asked softly. Kaori wiping her eyes, looking at her boyfriend.

"I still... don't understand why the humans are meaner here than they were in Japan. I grew up being friends among them. Why?" Lexington's ears fell at her words, feeling great sympathy, knowing this question was coming.

He gave her a gentle smile. "Not every place in the world accepts our kind but we do our best to always live and protect as long as we can. We don't need everybody to accept us, just a few good people out there like Elisa. But at least we have the bridal shower for Brooklyn and Kita coming up, right?"

Kita sniffled, wiping her eyes once more as she nodded. "S-sure. That'll be fun. It's been a while since I've been to a wedding," she said, while the two went up to meet the others to plan the party.

It took some time to plan the bridal and groom showers for both Kita and Brooklyn, though they had to plan both sides from the men's group and the women's group.

A few nights before the wedding was set to commence, the males and females of the clan took both Brooklyn and Kita separately to prepare them.

For Brooklyn, his was a little more simple. Even though Goliath and Hudson would have preferred the old fashioned way that was simply giving a blessing to the new couple and a mating flight, but there were some traditions that the younger generation just wanted and they were willing to let them do their new thing. Goliath still said that he would give the blessing though as leader of the clan.

Goliath saw how happy Brooklyn was with Kita than he had been alone before his kidnapping to Russia many months ago. He also saw that Lexington was gaining the same happiness with Kaori and they would be doing this shortly after his Second in Command and his new mate to be.

With Kita, Fox, Elisa, Kaori, and Angela were wanting to prepare her for a most glorious night of her life in a few nights.

Fox was going to help her prepare her wedding outfit and pay for it. She would also give a few comments about what weddings were like here in the United States. She took measurements. Kita was sure about one thing, she wanted a kimono to wear for her wedding night. Fox was also in charge of the cake too.

They even attempted to have Siveth washed for the wedding, to ensure she would look presentable for Bronx since the two gar dogs were even more smitten with each other, possibly to become mates themselves soon. Plus she was more trained now than before.

Angela volunteered to do Kita's hair to make it look amazing.

Elisa was taking notes on how a Japanese wedding was and see how close they could make it to near how Kita would want it. She was also in charge of inviting the guests.

Kaori would be her maid of honor. Kita also asked if Hudson would kindly walk her down the aisle, which Hudson was happy to oblige. He was like a father to her.

Matt, the mutates, and the clones, and Elisa's family were all invited, as was the Xanatos family, and Owen. It would be quite a spectacular event for what they would plan.

David and Owen were in charge of getting the Great Hall ready for the ceremony. It would be inside and the reception would be outside. David was also in charge of getting a male tuxedo for Brooklyn.

David did some measurements on Brooklyn that the red gargoyle found a little disconcerting but he allowed the man to do them. "I have to get these measurements to make sure you have the right tux." David assured him.

"Thanks." Brooklyn said reluctantly.

Brooklyn also wanted to choose a Best Man like he had seen on tv. He had the tough decision of choosing one of his brothers. He ended up choosing Broadway since he was a big romantic and knew some planning too. He would also cook the dinner with Angela and Kaori's help.

There were a couple nights to relax before the wedding that Brooklyn and Kita were allowed to spend their time together. Everyone was really excited to be doing this event. There hadn't been this much excitement in the clan for quite some time. At least not this much happiness.

The night before the wedding, there were special parties called bachelor and bachelorette parties. Both Brooklyn and Kita weren't allowed to see each other for the next twenty-four hours so they were to have the time of their lives with their gender parties.

Kita was taken out on a night on the town. Elisa came with the girls. Fox stayed home for final preparations. She had gotten Kita's kimono and the cake.

Kita, Elisa, Angela, and Kaori patrolled the city but also went to a movie, had a special meal, Chinese food because that was what Kita wanted, and Elisa got her some jewelry. Some necklaces and earrings. Kita couldn't wait to see her wedding kimono.

The girls also went swimming and made some arts and crafts. They also did some dancing to bust some moves listening to some awesome music. It was a wild night. Everyone was ready to sleep by the time they got to Elisa's apartment. The gargoyle females would stay there for the day and go to the castle that night.

Kita couldn't wait to see her mate to be tomorrow night. She had adored the attention she got tonight from her girl friends. They were all wanting to give her the time of her life and they had.

For Brooklyn, at his bachelor party, he was hanging out with the males of his clan for the night. His mind wandered to what Kita was doing on her party but he would have his night with the guys.

There were words of wisdom given to him from Goliath and Hudson from their past experiences with their mates. There was some games that the males played. Like playing tag and doing some aerial gliding acrobatics to see who the was best agile in the air.

They had a special meal of their own. Bronx was also at the party. Brooklyn also tossed him a big ham. Bronx loved that.

David also joined the party to give his insights on women when it came time for that. He knew what it was like to be married. He told of his tale of his wedding night where they got to go time dancing on his wedding night. Goliath still remembered it well too.

Brooklyn knew that the Phoenix Gate was gone. He knew what it was though.

There was even a girl that did a little dance routine for them in a gargoyle costume. She danced to the beat of some rocking music. The males were enthused but Brooklyn would do nothing to 'cheat' on his girl. This was their little secret from the females. The woman was a human but she was a gargoyle friend. She also liked the payment she got for doing this that David was paying her for.

David also had Brooklyn's tuxedo ready too. It would be put on tomorrow night.

The evening ended with a good movie in the living room. A romance movie.

Brooklyn thought he enjoyed the night with the guys but he was also more than ready to be joined with Kita as his mate. He was nervous about tomorrow night though. He knew he and Kita were going to be pampered and all the entertainment was going to be for them. He just hoped nothing would ruin it.
