My mind was wandering,

While my body laid still.

As the mind can't stop,

Unless the void is filled.

It met another searching for a home,

And my mind wanted to assist

Life is hard as it is,

We must learn to co-exist.

But it's funny how this works

How my mind didn't want to quit 

Forgetting an important fact

That who doesn't have can't give

 As it went on with its journey 

My mind came across another

 A little girl's mind needing help 

But should I even bother?

I looked away from her eyes

And took a different way

I looked up to the sky 

And started to pray

 I prayed for strength,

and the comfort my mind once felt 

For forgiveness and love 

And all issues to be dealt

Yet I didn't wait for it to happen

As I didn't believe it would 

When you start to think like that

You never seem to feel good

Hopelessness is what's radiating from me 

It's something that I definitely don't lack

No matter how long my mind wanders 

All it sees is pitch black
