❧On The Couch with @rowlings
She has one book so close to one million reads(at the time of posting) and a mystery story, "How To Save a Life" that left me on the edge of my seat to know what happens next.
Hey guys today I'm joined by the lovely Sophie (rowlings) who was kind enough to agree to join me "one the couch"
∥ note that words appearing in [this format] are comments made by me as one would do on a talk show kinda thing ∥
Let's get to this

How would you say did the Wattpad community respond when you posted your first story?
My first story on Wattpad was a short story which meant it was one of the unpopular groups. I got really excited whenever I just got a few reads and votes on it. After a few months of it being posted I made sure to circulate it to my friends on Wattpad, all of whom thought it was good and that it deserved more reads.
Soon enough I reached 1K reads and I was ecstatic. It's been amazing to see how far I've come since that story. But, my original fans will know which story I'm talking about.
What are some of the things you do to remedy your writer's block?
The only cure I've found to writer's block is to step away from the keyboard and read. Writer's read books for a reason-- we read stories because someone else already did all the hard work and tied it up in a little metaphorical bow so that we can read it without the stress out of actually writing it.
The more I read as a writer, the more I'm instantly compelled to create books of my own. If it yakea you a while, that's okay. Take your time and read a lot for both inspiration and relaxation.
When you're not reading or writing, what else do you do in your spare time?
I'm an avid performer and especially love film acting. I train at my local studio and also work at a grocery store (ah, the glamorous life of an author)
While your story "Paper Hearts" was one I enjoyed and is so close to one milllion reads, I'm more interested in your mystery story, "How To Save a Life" and would like to know what inspired you to write it?
I'm so glad you asked about HTSAL and not Paper Hearts- while I've been getting a lot of interviews lately, you're the first to ask about this story.
Basically after watching and reading THIRTEEN REASONS WHY, I realised how important it is to spread the message about suicide. As someone who has experienced the aftermath of suicide (both in my family and personal life) it's always been a subject extremely close to my heart.
Do you have a favourite author (on Wattpad or published) who inspires you to write?
I have several favourite authors but here on Wattpad, it would have to be hepburnettes because she's amazing and her work is perfect for any situation -romance, mystery, thriller anything you can think of. Outside of Wattpad however, I'm currently reading a lot of John Green. I've read all four of his stand alone novels and am anticipating my signed copy of the fifth which comes out next week (at the time of posting). DFTBA for any of my nerdfighters out there.
[she truly is a brilliant writer and it's not just the wonderful writing, it's her story if when she was starting out on Wattpad as well.]

What are some of your favourite story genres?
My favourite story genre would have to be Young Adult fiction because there are just so many directions you can take. Writing about adolescence is incredible because people identify with their teenage years as the best years if their lives. To be able to encapsulate in one of the best things an author can do.
What would be the worst yet funniest pick up line you've heard or have been told?
"Hey girl, are you subway? Because you're Looking fresh."
Who is your woman/man/celebrity crush?
I have a deep affinity for so many celebrities for so many different reasons but Andrew Garfield will almost always be at the top of the list.
[I think he'd be second on my list after Theo James]
Do you have a quote that inspires you?
I have two actually, "Everything you want is on the other side of fear" - Jack Canfield and also "I can get another man in a matter of minutes, matter of fact, he'll be right here baby." -Beyoncé
Favourite colour and why?
I love the colour blue because it's often found in expanses. The ocean and sky are seemingly endless and it is a constant reminder that the life we have been given is meant to be lived as if our limits are endless.
I'm a big believer for living in the moment, for screaming your favourite songs no matter what people think, for laughing too loudly and going to the store at five in the morning and wearing clothes that make you feel comfortable an good about yourself. Because it truly comes down to hat we have left.
When I'm 80 years old and in a rocking chair, I don't want to be regretting all those days I spent playing it safe.
I want to remember all those days and laugh so hard that my stomach hurts and got dizzy that I nearly threw up because maybe I make mistakes but at least they were the best kind.
[Wow, that is ,by far, the most anyone has said about why blue is their favourite colour.
