❧On the Couch with @JumpingToConclusions
She is the writer of "The Outcast" series where she writes about people who made mistakes that ruined their lives. But shouldn't be judged by their mistakes.
Today we are joined by Aileey (JumpingToConclusions) who was sweet enough to have a chat with me on the couch.
Also!! Words in [this format] is just something extra said by me but actually not.
Let's get to this...

✷ What was Wattpad like when you first started posting stories?
I posted my first story just under two years ago. I had been reading on this site for a long time but never really had the confidence to put any of my work up. I still remember how I felt putting my first story up. (It's been taken down because of how cringe worthy it was)
I had just finished all my AS exams and came back home, the excitement of finishing my exams giving me the slight push to finally push that publish button. I had like a reader a day at best which I had found was so amazing.
I would always give a squeak of excitement whenever anyone commented on my story(I still do.)
In terms of the site, I joined when "Bad Boy" stories were ruling the site, so basically nothing has changed since then.
✷In your opinion, what do you do to fight writer's block?
It really depends on my mood. Sometimes, I sit down with music blasting through my headphones. I hopes that some inspiration will eventually strike. Most times, I just take a break from writing. I read stories on the site and I find that it's times when I'm not forcing myself to think when inspiration fills my mind.
I would be drinking tea and then suddenly and idea would "pop" into my mind and I'd have to scramble to quickly jot it down so that I wouldn't forget it later on. Sometimes, it's just good to give your brain a rest.
✷Besides reading, what else do you do in your spare time?
Reading takes up like 99% of my time, I kid you not. Ever since I was a kid, I always loved reading. Something about escaping to another world was just so compelling.
The other 1% is either spent writing, I've also taken up BSL (British Sign Language) which I started at mid 2016 and that's something I really enjoy. Hanging out with my flatmates/friends and binge watching TV shows is also one of my favourite pass times.
✷Where do you get inspiration for your stories?
I don't know. I really don't. If I think really hard about it, I guess my story 'Slut' was inspired by a mixture of wattpad books and also some of my personal experiences.
I had found it weird that people seemed to care so much about what others did in their own stories( and I was one of the people who used to think that way, but I changed my stance about that a long time ago. Which is why I felt so passionately about it.)
That was when I decided to write a story which would hopefully teach people not to judge so quickly.
I also started a newer one of my stories, "Homewrecker" which was inspired by something people were talking about in one of the threads. Other than that my inspiration comes from things such as music, real life situations etc.
✷Do you have any characters in your books based off people in your life?
If I do, it isn't done intentionally. I never base my characters off real people. I don't know why but I would just like to keep the two worlds separate. I like being able to create a character completely from scratch. I love creating a world in which everyone has individual characters.

✦Who is your man/woman/celebrity crush?
It would have to be Selena Gomez, she has been my woman crush since I was eleven.
[I think that everyone, secretly, has a crush on her. She is beyond gorgeous]
✦What is the worst, yet funniest, pick up line you've heard or have been told?
My friends and I like to do this thing where we try to tell each other pick up lines as serious as possible and it is the funniest thing ever.
I think my favourite will have to be, "Feel this jumper, that's boyfriend material." I just love this one (I think my love for puns just emphasises why I love that one so much.)
✦What are your favourite book genres?
Whenever I'm on the hunt to read, be it in a bookstore or library. I tend to go to the young adult section and the blurb of a certain book before actually looking at what genre it is in. I'm really loving dystopian books at the moment. (Is that even a genre?)
[I think that dystopian stories fall under the genre "umbrella" of Science Fiction. Like Divergent and Hunger Games]
✦Do you have a show you started watching and have become obsessed with?
It has to be Pretty Little Liars, which I started watching two years ago and it really breaks my heart to know that it's ending this year.
Though, a few months ago I started watching Lucifer which I am in love with, it's a really hooking show and I would recommend it to people looking for something new to watch.
✦What's your favourite song at the moment?
[at the time of posting]
This is always hard for me since I have a new favourite song almost every month, but for now I have two; On purpose by Sabrina Carpenter and Ballad of Mona Lisa by P!ATD
[ I too have fallen in love with music by both Sabrina and Panic!]

Thank you so much to JumpingToConclusions for being so kind as to allow this interview.
If you have someone in mind who you'd like me to interview, head on back to the "foreword" and comment there.
