Chpt. 1 Mick's Second Chance
Mick's POV
Mick Davies walked through the woods in Beacon Hills holding a limp body. She wasn't dead, but she was well on her way. Mick carefully set her down and wiped a tear from his face, "I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry."
He Brushed the hair out of her face with shaking hands, and dropped his head, "I'll try to keep him safe for you, I couldn't carry both of you out. I-i have to go, I've got a meeting with the Winchesters." Mick slowly stood up and walked back the way he came, to his car.
He couldn't dare risk a second glance back. 'She'll be okay.' He thought, 'She's powerful.' If only Ketch found him doing this. He'd be dead in an instant.
But his life didn't matter anymore, he had to fix all he'd done wrong, without the Winchester's help.
As Mick was walking back through the woods, a pair of glowing blue eyes followed him. They had been watching him the entire time, but this time the owner of the eyes decided to question the man who had dropped a body off in the woods at 2am...on his property.
Derek emerged from a tree in front of Mick, eyes still glowing. Mick immediately reached for his gun but hesitated when the werewolf didn't attack.
He instead made of point of showing that he wasn't going to be the one to make the first move. The man had obviously saw that he had a gun but Mick held his hands up in surrender and thought about how screwed he was if the werewolf attacked.
Mick was cut out of his many scenarios when the werewolf spoke up, "What are you doing here, at-" he checked his phone, "2:15am with a body."
Mick cleared his throat and sighed, "My name is Mick Davies and I work for the British Men of Letters. My organization, they do some awful things and I'm trying to change that. Might I ask who you are?"
The werewolf ignored his question and instead asked another one of his own, "You're trying to change that by dropping a body off in the middle of the woods? Sorry if I don't find that believable."
"You can hear my heartbeat then, you know if I'm lying or not. I'll be glad to explain more if you can tell me your name." Mick's palms were starting to sweat, he needed to be somewhere.
The werewolf shifted and blinked, his eyes were back to normal, thank God. "I'm Derek, Hale."
Mick's eyes flashed with recognition. He knew of the Hales. He also knew of the argents and let's say if he had to pick a side, it wouldn't be the psycho hunters.
Derek must have noticed to look on his face because he spoke up, "You know of my family then? Hunter." He spat, but he still did not make a move to attack.
Mick nodded his head, "Yes I know of your family, and I'm embarrassed to say I also know of the argents. Why are you back in Beacon Hills? Last I checked, only Laura was here."
Derek seemed to relax a little, the British hunter seemed to be not a threat. Still, he needed to know who that girl was. "Back to the reason why you're here. Who's that girl and why is she unconscious?"
Mick lowered his hands and cleared his throat, "Her and her brother have abilities, we-they have been experimenting on them.
I was only able to sneak one away from the facility. This place is one of the oddest I know and the Men of Letters don't keep many tabs here. Listen I've got to meet up with some people, will you keep an eye on her?
She'll be terrified. But, tell her I'll bring her brother to her as soon as I can." Mick started walking past Derek to the direction of his car.
"Wait." Derek shouted, Mick turned and waited for him to say something.
Derek cleared his throat before asking, "what's her name?"
Mick smiled sadly before calling, "Isis. Do you know who that was?"
Derek snorted before shouting again, "I'm not uneducated, I know who Isis was."
"Take care of her will you? She's been through a lot." Mick shouted, he was almost back to his car. He didn't hear Derek's response but he didn't need to.
He got into his car and checked his phone, two missed calls from Dean and five from Sam, not to mention loads of texts.
He was supposed to be there a few hours ago, he knew that dropping the kid off would make him late, considering Beacon Hills wasn't on the way to the bunker, but now he was even later. He called Sam back and turned the engine. This was going to be a long night.
Derek's POV
Derek watched the man leave and turned back where he could hear the girl breathing. He walked back over to her and picked her up.
Derek didn't know why he was doing this, he had no reason to trust the Brit other than the fact his heart stayed steady the entire time, even if he wasn't lying, what did Derek owe him?"
Nothing. Derek owed him nothing. But still the words rang through his ears, "She's been through a lot." So has he. So that's something in common. Plus she has abilities and her name's Isis, they don't name average people Isis.
The charred Shadow that was once the Hale house came into view. Derek looked down at the girl, she wasn't even moving, 'what did they do to her?'
Derek asked himself before pushing open the door and taking her upstairs.
Just in case the hunters came she would be safe.
Maybe when Isis wakes she could help Derek find Laura. Oh yeah. Did he forget to mention that's the freakin reason why he's in this stupid town?
Derek has been here two days now and has yet to see a sign from Laura and he was getting worried.
Derek cast a glance over at the girl, she was still out cold and didn't look like she would be awake anytime soon. So Derek quietly dashed down the stairs and out to the door. The amount of times he has looked for her in two days is kinda unnerving.
Derek just doesn't want to see his only family left dead somewhere.
Blood. That was the first smell to hit his nose. Derek immediately picked up the pace and ran towards the direction it was coming from. Derek didn't stop running until he was behind a tree, fangs out and eyes glowing.
He could see a kid, no older than 16. He was bleeding. Derek caught another whiff of something, the alpha.
That kid was bitten by the alpha. But even still, there was another smell of blood. That wasn't the teen's.
Derek slowly followed behind the kid when he saw her. Laura. Well only half of her. Derek chocked on what could have been a sob and wiped a few tears.
His shaking hands reached and brushed the hair out of her face. Rage shot through Derek along with other emotions he tried to lock away.
Derek looked around and ensured that no one was around, and stood up, "Who the hell did this? My only fam-family. Come face me! I know you can hear me. If you're really so tough, alpha, come fight me and we'll see."
Derek saw a flash of red, then it was gone. Derek was defeated, he felt his teeth lengthen, and his ears grow. He tipped his head back and howled a mourning, for the loss of his last family member.
Derek carried Laura's top half back to the Hale house and spent the next three hours digging a grave and running a spiral with wolfsbane through it. Which hurt, a shit ton may he add.
It was almost six thirty when Derek finished. He laid down on the couch and closed his eyes, listening to Isis's breathing while he tried to sleep.
Her shallow breaths lulled him and he couldn't keep his eyes open.
Derek allowed himself to sleep lightly, still listening to the girl's breathing, that is until he heard her screaming.

That's the first chapter! I don't really know who I want to put Isis with and I can't really ask you guys because you haven't met her yet. But when the next chapter comes out please comment who you think would be cute, or even now if you have an idea. I can write around it.
