(1)- A little information about yourself. Whatever you want to share.
I'm seventeen years old, and I write fantasy, science fiction, paranormal, and poetry. I have written four completed novels, as well as an abundance of short stories and poetry. My poetry is often abstract, reflective, or descriptive, but I also write a lot of narrative poetry. I am a member of The American Academy of Poets, and I have won the 2014 session of NaNoWriMo and three sessions of Camp NaNoWriMo.
(2)- When did you begin writing?
Technically, I have been writing almost my entire life. My parents introduced writing and poetry to me at a very young age. I only became really serious about writing several years ago, and it has become a huge part of my life.
(3)- Who are your favourite poets or idols?
I love Edgar Allan Poe. He's probably my favourite poet, and I often turn to his works for inspiration.
(4)- Do you have a favourite spot or location in which to write?
Preferably, I write outside, under a tree, but this cannot happen all the time. The tree I used to write under all the time fell down about a year ago, so there is no specific location outside I write at any more. Most of the time, I write in my room or in the living room, but when I can, I write outside.
(5)- Do you have a preferred genre in which to write?
When it comes to prose, my favourite genre to write is fantasy, though I also love science fiction and paranormal. When it comes to poetry, I love to write abstract and lyric poetry. My poetry is mostly free verse, but I experiment with other traditional forms of poetry and metre.
(6)- Is there a writing style of genre that you would like to try, but haven't yet?
When it comes to prose, I would like to try some form of realistic fiction. When it comes to poetry, I would like to try writing a dramatic play in verse, and I would also like to try some other traditional forms, like sonnets or Japanese poetry.
(7)- Where do you gather your writing inspiration from?
It comes from a lot of different places. Nature, art, music, other poetry, people, emotions, etc. There's not one specific place, and everything has the potential to inspire me somehow.
(8)- How do you feel about collaborations? Have you done one yet?
I would love to work on collaborations, depending on how it's done. I am currently working on a collaboration to create a collection of poetry, and when I was younger, I wrote several novels with some friends of mine. I'd love to work on more collaborations sometime.
(9)- Have you had any of your works published? Would you like to?
I haven't had any published yet, but I am currently preparing a novel and a collection of poetry for publication.
(10)-Anything else you might like to add.
If anyone needs any help with anything, feel free to message me and ask, and I will help in any way that I can.
