Marinette
"Dressing room, dressing room, dressing room..."
I stop for a moment, waiting for the crowds of dancing people to move out of the way. The loud music made it hard to think.
Then I spot it. The girls dressing room.
I start to speed walk towards it, only to be stopped by a moving figure. I crash into their side and they stumble, but are able to catch their fall. They turn.
"Whoa! Slow down little lady. What's got you in a hurry" They say, smirking.
Chat noir. Just my luck.
I take a deep breath and fight back the insult threatening to come out. I have to act normal. Marinette doesn't know Chat.
"Sorry, um excuse me" I say, trying to swerve past him. But he grabs my wrist quickly.
"Hey, why you leaving so soon. Don't you want to talk to the best dancer here, Chat noir!?" He exclaims cockily. His smile twinkled in the dark.
I roll my eyes. "I'm sorry, but didn't Ladybug destroy Chat noir, the "best dancer here", last night?"
His smile deflates in front of my eyes and he puts his hands on his knees, clinching one hand on his face as he stares at the floor
"Don't remind me...." he says sadly, dramatically clinching his fist. But when he stands back up, he smiles.
"That girl though. She sure is something." He pauses. "I'm going to ask her to be my team mate"
I choke on air. "W-What?!"
He does a couple dance moves, "If we team up, we'll be unstoppable. I'm sure of it. Hell, maybe even win the championship"
I knew what he was talking about. The annual team dance offs. I never enter because, well, it requires a team mate. And I don't like teaming.
But there is always a prize. It's usually like 2,000 dollars. Which means whichever team wins, they each get 1,000 dollars.
That money could help me out a lot. But I don't dance for the money. That's another reason why I don't enter.
"Heh good luck with that. Why would she even say yes to you?" I say, finally walking past him towards the dressing room. Before I enter, I hear him yell a response.
"For the experience!"
